“Don’t rinse your mouth after brushing” – physician warns

 Dr. Olufunmilayo Adeniyi, a medical practitioner, agrees with medical authorities and urges patients to avoid rinsing their mouths with water right after brushing their teeth.
Dr. Adeniyi agreed with a health portal, Healthline, on 'Your View,' a TV show on Television Continental monitored by The PUNCH, that rinsing soon after brushing erases a lot of the benefit of putting fluoride to your teeth.
Rinsing the mouth shortly after brushing, she claims, will diminish the flouride's protective benefits (on the teeth).
"We advise that you spit rather than rinse with water so that there is a bit left to act on," she says.

If you brush for two minutes and you spit in between the two minutes, you won’t be able to keep all the toothpaste in your mouth for two minutes. “So, you spit out, you rinse a little and do it again, and lastly, you spit out and leave it to act.

Fuel souvenir: Court sentences Lagos socialite to 2-year jail term

#jaiyeorie  Ms. Chidinma Ogbulu, a Lagos socialite, was sentenced to two years in prison for distributing fuel as a memento during a party. In a judgement issued by Chief Magistrate Kehinde Ogundare, she was sentenced by the Lagos State Special Offences (Mobile) Court in Oshodi. Following her guilty plea on Thursday and some prosecution evidence, the socialite was convicted and punished. Following Ogbulu's arrest and arraignment last Monday, he was found guilty. 

 

 

During an event she hosted at Havilah Events Centre, Victoria Island, on March 4, she shared kegs of petrol as a keepsake in a viral video. She stated that she was pregnant when she began the course.

It got to the point where she was plagued by so many doubts that she found it difficult to make judgments and began second-guessing herself.

"Today marks the end of my three-year journey to become a UK Registered Nurse with a Bsc (First Class) in Adult Nursing.

“So today, I completed my three years journey to becoming a UK Registered Nurse, Bsc (First Class) in Adult Nursing.

I was 13weeks pregnant when I started this course, people had so many doubts because they thought being pregnant and studying Nursing in the UK is the most difficult thing anyone would do especially if you haven’t found your way around yet. I got to a point where i began to have doubts and questioned my decision.

At this point i knew I had to work harder, to prove myself to the people who had doubts, even to my university who thought that deferring my admission was my best bet. Anyways I had to put in the work and trust me it was a lot of hard work.

Throughput my studies i went through pregnancy, newborn, toddler I did what I had to, just to show that women can achieve whatever they put their mind to irrespective of the circumstance. Nigeria’s Tofade Makes History, Becomes First Black Female President Of US College

    Toyin Tofade, a Nigerian, has been named the first black female president of Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) in the United States.

Tofade was chosen as the college's 10th president after a nationwide search, according to a statement from the campus.

Tofade has been Dean and Professor at Howard University College of Pharmacy in Washington, D.C. since 2016.

"In the 141-year history of Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Dr. Tofade is the first Black woman to serve as president. "She will begin her term on July 1, 2022," according to the college.

"It is an honor to be chosen by the Board of Trustees of Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences for this prestigious position," she stated.

The ace broadcaster celebrated his new year with photos and a lengthy Instagram post which revealed some of his struggles in the past years, achievements and lessons. Soni Irabor disclosed that he was diagnosed with what is doctor called an “evolving stroke” right in the middle of the pandemic and also had vertigo. He thanked his wife, Betty Irabor and their children for all they did during that period that turned their home upside down.
