Stella Oduah Releases NYSC Photo To debunk Claims She Absconded From Service

Stella Oduah has responded to charges that she did not complete her service year by releasing a photo of herself in the uniform of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).


Concerned Anambra North Peoples Democratic Party Stakeholders had urged the National Youth Service Commission to verify the former minister of aviation's claim of losing her certificate.


The agency stated in a letter written on his behalf by the director, press and public relations, Eddy Megwa, that Oduah began her NYSC program in 1982.
She was supposed to be assigned to Lagos, according to the NYSC, but she never showed there. 

However, the lawmaker in a statement released through her media aide, Ezennia Chukwudebe, said she “served meritoriously at NECA in 1982 as can be confirmed from this 11th January 2017 clarification from the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association personally signed by the Director-General, O.A Oshinowo.”

The statement said, “Senator Stella Oduah did not only serve meritoriously but would go on to work in the NNPC, a Federal Government establishment, for the next nine years!

“Nigerians need to understand that the persons behind the fake letter currently doing the rounds are desperate, despondent and out of their wits end for they instinctively appreciate the fact that the Distinguished Senator is one leader that continues to be appreciated and loved for her many people-oriented programs and no amount of sponsored media mudslinging can obliterate this fact.”

The statement further said that “this is election season and it is expected to see such antics” by people it referred to as “weak traducers”.

Timberlake has sold his songs to Hipgnosis Song Management in London, joining a growing list of musicians who have sold the rights to their music for millions of dollars.



According to Hipgnosis CEO Merck Mercuriadis, Hipgnosis Management purchased all of the singer's copyrights on tracks he wrote or co-authored, totaling 200 songs, on Thursday, May 26.

Following the group's breakthrough, he embarked on a solo career, releasing five studio albums and 40 singles.

‘How to Murder Your Husband’ Writer Nancy Crampton Brophy Found Guilty of Murdering Her Husband

Nancy Crampton Brophy, a romance novelist who once wrote an essay titled “How to Kill Your Husband,” was found guilty of second-degree murder for fatally shooting her husband in 2018.

Daniel Brophy, a chef and instructor, was found dead on June 2 inside the Oregon Culinary Institute where he worked. Crampton Brophy was arrested three months later, and remained bars ever since. Prosecutors presented evidence to the jury showing Nancy acquired gun pieces in the months leading up to her husband’s death, including an item that wouldn’t trace the bullets to the firearm used in the shooting. 

According to KOIN, investigators were never able to find the gun used in Brophy’s death. Casing found near his body couldn’t be traced back to the firearm and ghost gun found in Crampton Brophy’s possession. She did, however, acknowledge buying an extra slide and barrel for “research” that was never found. Nancy claimed it may have disappeared when items were being removed from her home, while prosecutors believe the missing pieces were the ones used in the shooting and were intentionally discarded. 

Prosecutors claim financial problems and the appeal of cashing in on life insurance policies were motivating factors in Crampton Brophy committing the crime, while her legal team countered by arguing Brophy was able to resolve their money problems by taking out of portion of his retirement savings. 

Crampton Brophy’s attorney Lisa Maxfield said they plan to appeal the ruling. 

She clearly knew ‘how to kill’ her husband — but not how to get away with it. Her sentencing will be June 13.

Russian pilot instructor and trainee cadet are sacked for making sex tape in cockpit mid-air

A Russian pilot has been fired for making a racy sex tape with a female cadet in a cockpit.

Sasovo Flight School Of Civil Aviation fired the married pilot, aged 28, and his student, 21, for switching a plane to autopilot so they could film themselves having sex mid-air.

The pilot convinced the trainee to have sex with him in exchange for extra flying lessons.

She had reportedly initially refused because he was married but then had later given in when he offered the extra tuition.

The pair were in the cockpit of a Cessna 172 aircraft in the Russian federal subject of the Ryazan region when they recorded their romp, according to local news site Gazeta.

Sasovo Flight School fired them after others recognised them in the video which had been shared online.

When questioned about what happened, the young trainee claimed that the autopilot was on and that they had only kissed and hugged.

She later claimed it was a one-off and had not been repeated.

The scandal came to light when she had a row with one of her fellow cadets, who then decided to post the sex tape online to get revenge according to local media.

Khloe Kardashian has responded to claims that she has had 12 face transplants.

The reality star appeared on the Dear Media podcast Not Skinny But Not Fat with Amanda Hirsch, where she revealed that she's "offended" by people accusing her of  getting12 face transplants.

She also added that she thinks the constant hate from trolls is "crazy."

Khloe said she has only had one plastic surgery operation: her nose job.

Lagos Teacher Flogs Pupil Over Homework, Victim Vomits, Dies

Emmanuel Amidu, a Junior Secondary School 2 student of Simple Faith Schools in Agbara, Lagos State, died at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital in Surulere.


The victim's father, Akinola Amidu, alleged that the 12-year-old was flogged by a teacher on Thursday, May 12, 2022, when he went to school.


He claimed that his kid began vomiting shortly after the assault and was brought to the hospital, where he died.


The bereaved father claimed that the school administration was concealing his son's death and sheltering the mathematics instructor, Steven, who allegedly flogged Emmanuel for failing to complete his assignment.

He said, “I was at home that Thursday because I was on leave. I recall that Emmanuel asked me for money to buy a new exercise book and I gave him N500 to buy the book and give the remaining change to his sister.

Nollywood icon, Iretiola Doyle has expressed gratitude to a colleague, Adesua Etomi, for stopping her daughter Jemiyo’s months of terrible bullying at school.

She wrote;

”NOT SO RANDOM STORY
Sooo sisi kekere (can I still refer to her like that?) had just transferred to a new school having spent her entire academic career up to that point in one place.
It took a whole summer of convincing, but I finally caved in – do not underestimate @jemiyodoyle once she’s set her mind on a thing.

Anyways, she arrives, bright and bubbly eager to take on new territory and blossom, which she did. Within months of arriving she vied for and won a position on the students Council.

Apparently that’s not allowed. “You cannot just arrive here and begin to “shine” without “permission”.

Oh the bullying was aggressive! And most of the time, she would beg me not to step in, determined to make her own way.

Anyways Mrs. Wellington heard about the goings on and said “Auntie, I’m going to go pick Jem from school one day”… I said OK.

On said day, she asked me to sit in the car. It took longer than usual…

@adesuaetomi didn’t just “pick” her from schl…she took her time to stroll round the schl compound with her arm around Jemiyo, waving at the students who had become dumbstruck. The message was clear : “This is my Beloved, thou shall not touch”. Suffice to say the bullying died down significantly from that day – true star power.

Jem has kolobied many of my friends, who have poured into her…some for a season, for some, just a brush…you have no idea how powerful just one brush from the right person is in molding a young mind. It truly takes a village…the 3 people captured here represent mine.

Result document shows Banky W didn’t win Lagos PDP House of Reps ticket

#jaiyeorie   In what appears to be an unwelcome development for music mogul Olubankole Wellington, commonly known as Banky W, a document has surfaced indicating that he did not win the PDP House of Representatives ticket.


Remember that Banky W, who is running for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat, won the party's primary election on May 23rd.


However, in a new development, a result sheet dated May 24th has surfaced, revealing that the singer actually lost.


Banky W received only 7 votes in the document, whereas Mr. Aiboni Sam received 23 votes.

 Cobhams Asuquo, a music executive, has remarked about what he appreciates in Kenya that Nigeria lacks.


Cobhams was enraged because Nigerian restaurants lacked braille, a sort of written language for the blind that he claims is available in Kenya.

 

Sharing a video of himself and wondering if he would like to return to Nigeria, the 40-yer old wrote; “So I came to a restaurant in Kenyan and these guys gave me a braille menu. Nigeria how far? Am I coming back lai dis?”

Group Presents Crocodile To Obasanjo

Evangelist Oluwatosin Jeremiah, the chairman of the group, delivered the gift to Obasanjo shortly after a closed-door meeting with him at his residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State.


Jeremiah informed reporters that the group had paid a visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo to request his assistance with the issues confronting Nigeria's rubber business.


The primary problems in the industry, according to him, are finance and land.


When asked what factors influenced his decision to offer Obasanjo a crocodile as a gift, he said, "We couldn't give him money, therefore that's why we settled for this, and you can see how he appreciated and treasured it."


Mr Oluwadamilare Ajayi, the Wildlife Curator at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, was promptly given the crocodile by the former President.

Queen Bee, the popular American rapper, has announced that a biopic about her life is in the works.


Last week in New York, Lil Kim revealed this while honoring the late Notorious BIG's posthumous 50th birthday.


She confirmed the story to the New York Post, saying that a biopic is in the works and that it will be based on her upcoming biography, which will be released later this year.
“Everyone’s gonna know stuff that they’ve never known,” she remarked.
