Will the price of Petrol go down because of Dangote Refinery? Ben Murray-Bruce

#jaiyeorie

Will the price of Petrol go down because of Dangote Refinery? Ben Murray-Bruce:

He is honest, and honest businesspeople are like that. Because the refinery is in your neighborhood and the gasoline is local, your rates do not decrease. It's time for everyone to start acting realistically about everyday problems; not everything is free just because it was made in your nation. Produce your own gasoline and provide it gratis to Nigerians if you desire free gasoline. Remember that the government has been subsidizing your fuel purchases, therefore it's time to confront the facts. People will labor in the refinery and be paid for their work.

I was shot in the eye at 9 – Bad Boy Timz

#jaiyeorie

Olorunyomi Oloruntimilehin, aka Bad Boy Timz, a Nigerian singer, has described how he was shot at age 9 by alleged assassins.

He claimed that one of the shots that struck him in the eye came from the gunmen who ambushed a car carrying his family in the Mushin neighborhood of Lagos.

Timz revealed this to British-Nigerian media personality Shopsydoo during a conversation.

He said: “I got shot in my eye when I was nine years old. They were assassins, they didn’t even stop the car, they just shot the bullets. It was not a robbery.

“Me, my mom, my dad and my immediate elder brother. It was four of us in the car. The incident happened in Lagos, Mushin to be precise. They just overtook us and started shooting. They were targeting my dad’s head, he dodged and the bullet went straight into my eye.”

Timz, who said the assailants were never apprehended, disclosed that he will be undergoing another eye surgery soon.

Elon Musk condemns working from home as ‘morally wrong’

#jaiyeorie

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, criticized working from home yesterday night, calling it "morally wrong" and unjust to service workers who still have to report to work.

Musk, the second richest man in the world with a net worth of $175.8 billion, has frequently condemned working from home, which became necessary for many people during Covid-19 lockdowns.

However, the practice has persisted in the post-pandemic age for many enterprises.

In an interview with CNBC on Tuesday night, the business magnate—who also owns the social media site Twitter—referred to workers in Silicon Valley's computer sector as the "laptop classes living in la-la land."

He told the network’s David Faber that he believes being in the office boosts productivity, but also said his opposition to working from home was a ‘moral issue’.

In the wide-ranging interview, Musk said employees that have so far refused to return to offices after Covid-19 restrictions ended need to ‘get off their moral high horse’ and get back to work like others have, pointing to service workers.

‘The whole work-from-home thing, it’s sort of like, I think it’s, like, there are some exceptions, but I kind of think that the whole notion of work-from-home is a bit like, you know, the fake Marie Antoinette quote, “Let them eat cake,”‘ he told Faber.

‘It’s like, it’s like really? You’re gonna work from home and you’re gonna make everyone else who made your car come work in the factory? You’re gonna make people who make your food that gets delivered – they can’t work from home? The people that come fix your house? They can’t work from home, but you can?’

‘Does that seem morally right?’ he asked. ‘That’s messed up.’

When asked by Faber whether he thought it was a moral issue, Musk said ‘yes’.

‘It’s a productivity issue, but it’s also a moral issue,’ he told the interviewer. ‘People should get off their goddamn moral high horse with this bulls–t because they’re asking everyone else to not work from home while they do. It’s wrong.’

Silicon Valley execs – and others across the country – have been frustrated by workers resisting a return to the office, despite directives urging them to do so.

Companies such as Amazon and Salesforce have demanded workers begin returning to the office after signs that productivity was slackening, CNBC reported.

Musk also covered his on-going leadership of Twitter during the interview.

He scrapped Twitter’s own working from home policy when he took control of the company in November last year, ordering its employees back into work.

Latto told her sister, Brooklyn Nikole, and women everywhere to stay away from plastic surgery on the third episode of her “777 Radio” show.

You know I got a little work done on my body or whatever… Cause this one thing about it, if you gonna do it do it right. Imma do it right. I did it right. For a girl who has little tweaky tweaks I be on your case about not touching nothing! I’m telling you, to all the young girls listening, all the women listening right now, I’m telling you from someone who’s been there, done that. Find peace within your natural state. Because your going to find a flaw, and another flaw, and another flaw, and another flaw… surgery, any of that stuff is not a permanent fix. Baby, we still editing pictures, we still, uh, having debacles in the mirror. …I’m a very much advocate for women in general, surgery, natural, whatever, like, however, you want to play it just make sure that’s what you comfortable with. But, I just think surgery is so popular now, and I’d be lying if I said that me doing music didn’t have an influence on me, you know?… Like, I’m constantly in the limelight and I was so young, like…

you gotta think I got my first big break at 16 on “The Rap Game.” Then “B**ch From the South,” all that started heating up, I was 19, so… And this coming from somebody that had all that stuff. I’m telling y’all love y’all self how you is, first. If you want to tweaky tweak go for it, but make sure it’s for you. “777 Radio” is Latto’s interview series in partnership with Apple Music.

Marques Houston posted a warning about bottom feeders on social media. Young Rome, a former member of Marques' Immature band, confronted him for making "insensitive" comments about Black women and single mothers before the message was delivered.

You may recall that in a recent interview, Marques said that when he dated women his own age they often came with “baggage” and “kids.” Rome wrote: But, as a member of Immature, I would like to extend my sincerest apologies in regard to the insensitive statements made by my former group member Marques Houston. He added, “Black women in particular are often on the receiving end of the constant negative stereotypes they fight against daily.”

Young Rome closed out his statement writing: As artists, it has always been important to us that the content of our music and who we represent as meant would never disrespect women (especially women of color) and his views do not reflect those of the group. Marques Houston took to his Instagram Story to share a message of his own in regard to bottom feeders and protecting his peace.

He wrote: To all my fans, supporters and real truth seekers I can see how the media would love to pin people against people for monetary gain but when your at peace, loving life and able to still make a positive impact in the entertainment world for over 2 decades, it’s so easy to move out the way and let bottom feeders eat. #ProtectYourPeace I LOVE YOU ALL! ‘Shooting Stars’: Peacock Debuts Trailer For LeBron James Biopic ................ Tems Dangote Refinery Tacha Bola Ahmed Tinubu Cristiano Diane Rahama Sadau

#jaiyeorie

The much-anticipated LeBron James biography Shooting Stars now has an official trailer, which was published by Peacock.

Regarding the movie:

Shooting Stars takes place in the 1990s, when a young LeBron James (Marquis Cook) and his three closest pals, Lil Dru (Caleb McLaughlin), Willie McGee (Avery S. Wills, Jr.), and Sian Cotton (Khalil Everage), designate themselves the "Fab Four," in reference to the storied Michigan Wolverines' "Fab Five" of the time.

We understand this bunch of buddies, led by coach Dru Joyce (Wood Harris), are bonded by more than just basketball as soon as we first meet them.

The Fab Four therefore decide to switch schools in order to be able to play varsity together, joining the squad at a largely white Catholic school in its place. This decision is made when the coach at the top basketball school in their district threatens to split them by putting Lil Dru on junior varsity.

The neighborhood views this as an insult, but the lads' commitment to one another takes precedence over all other considerations.

In their quest to become national champions, the boys, along with former rival and new teammate Romeo Travis (newcomer Sterling "Scoot" Henderson), will face battles not only on the court but in real life. They will rediscover that what matters most about life isn't just winning. Their new coach, Dermot Mulroney, is a disgraced former college coach seeking his own redemption.

Premiere Date:

June 2, 2023, on Peacock
