Former High Court JUDGE Slumps In Court Over Alleged N5m Bribe

A former judge of a federal high court, Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumobogia, yesterday slumped in court.

Justice Ajumogobia, slumped in the court, a few minutes before the commencement of proceedings in the alleged graft suit preferred against her by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at an Ikeja High Court, The Nation reports.

It was gathered that the  former judge was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance belonging to the Lagos State judiciary.

A banker and account officer with Access Bank, Ojo Adefemi Adedoyin, who allegedly linked with Oriafoh of 30 years to cheat a Hong Kong citizen, Xu Yue from £ 79,000 (Seventy Nine Thousand Pounds) is arrested by EFCC.   They were arrested by Uyo Zonal Offices of the Commission after investigating a petition received by the Hong Kong Police Forces that the young girl was the victim of a romance romantic tracing in Nigeria.   Accepting the crime, Oriafoh named Con, Terry Mac, confessed that he opened a FaceBook account in name, just to deceive anyone who falls prey to his bait.

Man who forged Okonjo Iweala's signature bags 4-years in jail

Raymond Azuka, was prosecuted by EFCC for forging a reference letter purportedly signed by former minister of finance, Okonjo-Iweala, in order to gain employment at the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting, NSPM as Security Assistant 1A, has been sentenced to 4 years in prison.

Justice M.B. Idris of a Federal Capital Territory, FCT High Court, Nyanya, had, on November 14, 2018, found him guilty of 2 counts of forgery, which he committed between May 2013 and August 2014.

Justice Idris held that the prosecution proved the counts beyond every reasonable doubt and so sentenced him to four years on each of the counts to run concurrently.

'We will appeal the judgement' - Donald Duke reacts as court sacks him and declares Jerry Gana presidential candidate of SDP

Donald Duke, says he will appeal the judgement, disqualifing him as the party’s presidential flag bearer.

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja declared Jerry Gana, a former Nigerian Minister of Information, as the presidential candidate of the SDP. Duke had been declared as the presidential candidate of the party after the primary election held in October 2018 in which Gana was also an aspirant.

However, Gana had instituted a case against the result in court, basing his case on the zoning and rotation formula of the party. Giving his ruling, Justice Hussein Baba-Yusuf said:

“In this instance, the party’s Chairman, Chief Olu Falae, is from the South and Duke is from the South too; the law is clear; there is nothing to write in-between. The law has crystallised that political parties should abide by the regulations which they have made by themselves.
