Mercy Aigbe is set to produce a new movie titled ’77 Bullets’.

The mother of two releasing a sneak preview of the movie on Instagram wrote; “Unfinished…still cooking 77 Bullets. Sneak Peak. Still in the works.”
In the preview, Mercy is seen playing the role of Susan, a deadly thief, who mysteriously appears to a young man, Adesina, threatening and shooting him to death.

Ellen Degeneres gives away $1 Million to her audience members

 Ellen Degeneres, who celebrated her 60th birthday on January 26, she put up together by Million Acts of Good campaign in collaboration with Cheerios, and Ellen was able to surprise everyone at the show.
During the mindblowing announcement, Degeneres said: 'I want to take a moment, first of all, to say everybody in the audience is here for a special reason,' she says in the clip for the episode set to air on Friday.


'All season long, I partnered with Cheerios to encourage people to do one million acts of good and if you’re here in my audience, you helped us reach that goal.
'Cheerios is sponsoring my two-day birthday extravaganza because they know there’s no better way for me to celebrate my birthday than to share it with people like you. Thank you so much. You’re all good, wonderful people.'

According to Mail Online, some of the good deeds done by audience members include a couple who during Hurricane Harvey used their own money and drove 800 miles to deliver supplies.
A teacher named Lori Gaines donated a kidney to the mother of a student just three weeks previously.
While one Dan McKernan had to quit his job and started a sanctuary for farm animals. He raised $150,000 for them.
The audience members would be splitting the $1 million prize money.

Spiritual leader charged for castrating 400 followers

Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, a spiritual leader in India, has been charged for forcing more than 400 followers to undergo castration.
He was charged by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

 

“The charge sheet against 50-year-old Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was filed by CBI in a special court Thursday,” a senior police official said Friday.

The indictment was filed by the IWC nearly three years after the Punjab and Haryana High Court ordered an investigation by the country's first polling agency into allegations of castration against the spiritual guru of the country. one of his old followers. The petitioner claimed that Singh had forced more than 400 worshipers to be castrated in a hospital at the headquarters of his sect in Haryana State, in the north of the country, to "get closer to God". Singh heads Dera Sacha Sauda, ​​which claims to have 60 million followers worldwide. He is currently serving 20 years in prison for raping two dedicated women in Haryana. Singh must also be tried in two murder cases.
If convicted, he could get a maximum of death penalty.

Chuck Norris Sues CBS & Sony For $30m

Chuck Norris featured in "Walker, Texas Ranger," now claims he's getting screwed out of some serious profits from the shows video-on-demand money.

Chuck's company, Top Kick Productions, is going after CBS and Sony Pictures for allegedly cheating him out of his share of the streaming VOD revenue ... according to new legal docs.

The issue revolves around an alleged 23 percent cut of profits CBS agreed to give Chuck in 1993, which he claims he hasn't received from the on-demand revenue.

According to the suit ... CBS and Sony have conspired to promote 'Walker' more through on-demand services and less on TV and DVD to avoid paying him his share, and he hasn't seen a dime of his profits from S-VOD since 2004.

Chuck's company is suing for breach of contract and shady dealing and wants at least $30 mil to make it right.

Nigerian woman beaten by in-laws over allegations of infidelity

Bela Omeneka, 29, told Vanguard when she got married in 2016 to her Amsterdam based husband,her husband, Felix Omeneka told her to move into his family’s house at 1, Maduafa street, off Chief Vincent Eze street, Ajao estate.

 

Bella told Vangaurd her stay with her in-laws has been hell and on Saturday,she was savagely beaten between 11 pm and 4 am by her brother-in-law, Kelly Omeneka and his wife, Mercy.

She told Vanguard

“The first attack on me occurred in May 2017, by Kelly’s wife, shortly after I started staying with my in-laws. But my mother-in-law intervened and said I should forgive her. My in-laws did not hide their dislike for me. When my husband visited, I complained to him but he pacified me to stay with them, saying he did not want me to live alone. Shortly after he left, I was attacked again. When I could not bear the attack and continued threat, I went to my elder sister’s place in Lekki.
“By December last year, Kelly told me to travel with them to the village but I declined on the ground that my husband was not around and also because I had an interview. He attempted to beat me but I left for my sister’s place out of fear. When my husband called, he told me to go back to where he left me and I obeyed and returned last Saturday to his family’s house.”

On arrival, she stated that she observed that some of her personal belongings had been stolen. She said when she confronted Mercy, Kelly’s wife, a quarrel which degenerated into a fight ensued.
She said:

“During the fight, she called one of my brothers-in-law, Benjamin on phone. Benjamin, in turn, contacted Kelly to come and chase me out of the house. Immediately he arrived, he met his wife fighting me, he did not separate us. Rather, he went for a horse whip and started flogging me all over my body and at the same time, hitting me in the ribs. He said he would leave an indelible mark on the face I usually pose on Facebook and that he would also kill me.
“He accused me of bewitching his brother to the extent that he does not look at the face of another back in Europe. A member of the family called and instructed them to seize my marriage certificate so that I won’t have any vital document to prove that the union was legal. He also seized my phone and dragged me out of the building. All I could remember at that point was seeing an oncoming car approaching the direction he dumped me, as I passed out.”

Concerned neighbours were said to have revived her but none of them could take the battered woman in, as she was left by the side of her in-law’s gate until 4 am. Bela said Kelly later opened the gate for her and ordered her to pack her things out of the housewhile accusing her of being promiscuous.
She said:

“He told me that they had a directive from their mother not to allow me in until I went to the village to swear an oath of fidelity. A concerned neighbour put me in a cab that took me to my sister’s place, from where I was rushed to the hospital”

Kelly Omeneka denied taking part in the battery when Vanguard contacted him. He insisted that the marks of brutality were inflicted on Bela by his wife while they were fighting. He, however, admitted to having pushed her outside, saying he acted based on his family’s decision.
He said:

“I am from Uromi, Edo state and it is a taboo for a married woman to have extramarital affairs. She left the family house for over one month without telling anyone where she went to. As it is, I am not expected to have anything to do with her so as not to fall a victim of the consequences of her action.”

His wife, Mercy, a 2015 graduate of Criminology from the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, admitted to having fought with Bela. She claimed that the fight was over an allegation by Bela that her fan was stolen from her room, while she was away.

Chrissy Teigen bowed down to Beyonce + called her ‘my queen’ at the Grammys (Video)

 Chrissy Teigen has recalled a meet with Beyonce at the Grammy Awards, which involved getting on her knees before her and calling the singer "my queen".

Speaking during a Tuesday interview on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Chrissy who's expecting her second child with her husband John Legend, said:

'There’s nobody like seeing Beyonce in person. It’s just so incredible,” Teigen told host Jimmy Fallon of the “Formation” singer. “The aura that comes around her. I mean, she just emits this aura that’s spectacular.”

Senate Pleads Buhari to obey court ruling and sack Ibrahim Magu now

Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, the spokesperson of the senate, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, said President Buhari has been offered an opportunity to end the non confirmation of his nominees, numbering about 40.

“It is our hope and prayer that our amiable President will definitely submit another nominee to carry on with the work. By this judgement we hope the Executive would be guided and do the needful so that we can move forward. For those who have been worried that Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has not met, this is a window to make them meet,” he said.
The plaintiff in the matter, Oluwatosin Ojaomo in his originating summons urged the court to hold that the role of the Senate under Section 2 (1) (a) (ii) (iii) of the EFCC Act is to ensure that the nomination conforms with the law, adding that once the requirement for the nominee has been met by the President, the Senate was statute barred from rejecting presidential appointee.
However, Justice Tsoho in his wisdom, struck out the case for lack of locus. He said “The submission of the plaintiff however gives the impression that the Senate only exists to rubberstamp the President’s appointment of a Chairman. Such view point runs counter to the proper intendment of Section 2(3) of the EFCC Act and is misconceived.”
Whether the ruling will be appealed or obeyed by the presidency, time will tell.
