Twitter has revealed that it is testing a "Change Tweet" function, which would, obviously, allow users to edit a tweet after it has been posted. This announcement will undoubtedly polarize users into at least two camps. 

In a blog post on Thursday, Twitter announced that the feature is being testing by its team internally, and will soon be expanded to Twitter Blue subscribers. Twitter wants users to “think of it as a short period of time to do things like fix typos, add missed tags, and more.”

Three things about the Edit Tweet function that you should know are as follows:


After it has been posted, you have 30 minutes to make a few edits to your tweet.

In order to indicate that a tweet has been edited, it will display an icon, a timestamp, and a label.

When you tap the label on an edited tweet, their "Edit History" with previous iterations will also be displayed.

"Living in Bondage: Breaking Free," Ramsey Nouah's debut film as a director, was well received and garnered several accolades.
He is now working on Play Network Studios' biography of crime boss Shina Rambo from the 1990s.


In the 1990s, people in the SouthWest of Nigeria, in locations like Benin Republic and the surrounding area, were terrified by the narrative of Shina Rambo, an Ogun state native who was a former bandit and armed robbery lord.
He was changed by an evangelist, and after serving time for his misdeeds, he became a preacher. 

Ramsey Nouah posted the first-look teaser on his official Instagram page with the caption, “Nobody can tell our stories better than we do. Shina Rambo in the making.” In the video, the famed Shina Rambo talked about making a deal with the devil and one of his robberies on the third mainland bridge.

The biopic was first announced by Charles Okpaleke, the CEO and co-founder of Play Network, in 2021.
He stated the corporation had obtained the intellectual property rights in an Instagram post that he made after having a lengthy talk with the former bandit.


The creator posted a picture of writings with the caption:

I’m in this industry to tell our Nigerian stories (and we have a lot of them). I’m not perfect but I strive to be, and as a new film maker don’t expect instant perfection. Lagos State Park and Garages Management's Chairman
The new costume for members was unveiled by Musiliu Akinsanya, known MC Oluomo.


Oluomo and a few of his followers posed for photos while donning uniforms bearing the letters LASPG, an acronym for Lagos State Parks and Garages.


A jacket is included with the uniform.


The action is a part of MC Oluomo's mission to transform the organization's members into professionals in opposition to popular opinion. 

 

The head of the transportation union made a request to the Lagos State University (LASU) School of Transport and Logistics last month for cooperation in developing the commercial bus driver training program.

Following his resignation from the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in March 2022, MC Oluomo has been in charge of parks and garages in Lagos.


MC Oluomo stated during the third lecture series of the LASU School of Transport and Logistics held at Majekodunmi Hall, LASU, that the partnership between his committee and the school would aid in the implementation of Governor Babajide Sanwo-THEMES Olu's agenda among bus drivers.


The former NURTW boss emphasized the necessity for training and retraining of commercial bus operators while being represented by the committee's assistant secretary, Olayiwola Lemboye. “When our members go for training, they will learn new techniques of dealing with the public and maintenance of their vehicles. The majority of them will see the need to cooperate with the traffic officials and abide by the state’s transport regulations,” he said.

The Lagos state police command has detained well-known Nigerian artist Ice Prince for allegedly assaulting a police officer.

It was discovered that the singer was stopped by police at around 3 a.m. on Friday for operating a vehicle without a license plate.


The police officer was kidnapped in his car by Ice Prince, who had initially agreed to take him straight to the station, attacked him, and threatened to toss him into the lagoon.



The spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest and said Ice Prince would be arraigned today.

According to Hundeyin “at about 3a.m @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station.

He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him, and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today.”

The state government has been forbidden by the Lagos High Court from assuming control of the demolished Ikoyi prison built by late Femi Osibona and tearing down the final two Fourscore Heights Limited-built high-rise structures in the neighborhood.


The status quo must be maintained by all parties involved in the lawsuit pending the hearing and decision of a lawsuit brought by fifteen subscribers of various flats, penthouses, terraces, and apartments being built in three high-rise structures at 44BCD, Gerrard Road, Ikoyi.


Of the three high-rise structures (Blocks A, B, and C), Block B, with its 21 stories, fell in November 2021, leaving 46 people dead. 

In the substantive suit, the subscribers, including a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Wemimo Ogunde; a former cleric of the Redeemed Church (RCCG), Pastor Adetola Odutola; an Oba-elect, Pastor Ghandi Olaoye are seeking general damages of N200 million and another N50 million as the cost of filing the suit.

The claimants, in the suit filed by their lawyer, Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), AbdulHakeem U. Mustapha are contending that it is the failure of the Lagos State government and its officials to supervise the construction of one of the three towers in line with regulations that led to its eventual collapse.

They claimed that they invested over N15 billion in the property that was being developed by Fourscore Heights Limited, a company promoted by Femi Osibona who also died in the tragedy.
Other claimants in the matter are Pastor Bola & Mrs Bunmi Odutola, Ms. Zahra Motomori, Kwara Business School Limited, Saikoyi Property Limited, and Mr Adewale & Mrs Foluso Folowosele.

An exceptionally gifted Nigerian-American woman named Wendy Okolo has emerged as the first-ever black woman that will earn a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Texas, United States.

Wendy Okolo achieved this outstanding at the age of 26. She started her higher education in the United States after being accepted to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Texas.

Wendy excelled in her undergraduate program and finally earned a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. She proceeded to enroll on a PhD program at the University of Texas.

5 years after her Bachelor’s degree, she emerged as the first-ever black woman to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas, Arlington, United States. Dr Wendy Okolo has since excelled as an Aerospace Engineer, winning several awards.

The Government of Nigeria celebrated her feat, describing her as a good ambassador of Nigeria. In 2022, Dr Wendy Okolo won an award of Excellence at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) of the United States. She won the NASA Exceptional Technology Achievement Medal and shared it on her Instagram.

Lea Michele has shut down the claims making rounds that she is illiterate.

“I went to Glee every single day; I knew my lines every single day,” Michele said in an interview with the New York Times. “And then there’s a rumor online that I can’t read or write? It’s sad. It really is. I think often if I were a man, a lot of this wouldn’t be the case.”

The rumours started in 2017 when Jaye Hunt and Robert Ackerman, hosts of the One More Thing podcast, discussed Naya Rivera’s book Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes, and Growing Up in which she talked about how actor Tim Conway suggested improvising scenes when they were all filming Glee. She wrote that but Michele refused and wanted to stick to her own lines. Hunt and Ackerman created a slideshow that presented this as “evidence” that Michele is illiterate.

She tried to shut it down at that time, responding in a since-deleted tweet, “Loved READING this tweet and wanted to WRITE you back. Literally laughing out loud at all this. Love you!!!”

 John Wick is back after a trilogy of draining battles, but it's unclear how much more fighting he has left in him. The first teaser for John Wick 4, which debuted unexpectedly this weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, includes all the highlights you'd anticipate from a Wick film, including Keanu Reeves looking very cool while training and new antagonists including a frightening Donnie Yen and a cold-blooded Bill Skarsgrd. Sword fights, car chases, and Laurence Fishburne yelling, "You ready, John? ", pointing to his recognizable black suit. But it also prompts a crucial query: Where does it all come to? There is no current indication of how or when Mr. Wick might get a break, even though it is obvious that he needs one. I have no idea how vacation time functions in the convoluted assassin universe. Chika Chukudebelu Igwilo Joins FX

Chika Chukudebelu Igwilo has now joined FX as part of its development team.

THR is reporting that the former HBO Max executive is now with the Disney-owned outlet as senior vp development, where she will “report to presidents of original programming Gina Balian and Nick Grad in her new role and guide potential series projects through the development process.”

Speaking about her appointment, Grad and Balian said in a statement:

“Chika is an extraordinarily talented creative executive with a proven track record of discovering and nurturing talent and guiding projects to success in an incredibly competitive environment. We are honored to add such a gifted creative executive to our development team, building on the strength of the team to continue FX’s tradition of fearless storytelling.”

And speakign about her appointment, Chukudebelu Igwilo said:

“I’m thrilled to take on this new role at FX, which has created one of the boldest brands in TV and one devoted to supporting their artists’ highest ambitions. I am excited to work with John Landgraf, Eric Schrier, Gina Balian and Nick Grad to carry that tradition forward with this amazing creative team.”

MAYOWA 🇳🇬 - Dr Dre Links up with DJ Spinall, Pheelz, Christened Yoruba Name

Dr. Dre appears to want to participate in the awesomeness of the Nigerian music scene because he is feeling it.


The renowned music producer collaborated with DJ Spinall and producer Pheelz, two Nigerian artists.


On Wednesday, Spinall posted many images of himself and Dr. Dre on his Instagram page. He noted that meeting the American music mogul was an amazing experience and that he requested to hear the album he's presently working on.

 

God is amazing !!!! I met my mentor - Dr. Dre …. he said “play me this album you working on 😭🙌🏾🖤⚡️”
