THR is reporting that the wife of the late Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman has filed for a letter of administration in Los Angeles because he didn’t have a will. Taylor Simone Ledward filed the petition on Thursday. Recall that the actor died in August after a four-year battle with colon cancer. The report continued: Boseman had no children, but according to the petition both of his parents are alive. Under California law, when a person dies intestate under such circumstances the spouse would inherit all community property and split the individual’s separate property with the parents. Letters of administration would give Ledward the authority to administer Boseman’s estate, which according to the filing includes personal property valued at about $939,000.

Lilian Afegbai responded after facing backlash over accusations that her mother Carol Afegbai, a retired senior police officer, murdered a university student in 2013. Social media users called out the Nollywood actress after she slammed critics accusing her of wearing flashy attires to the #EndSARS protests as well as losing focus of the movement. Soon after, the aggression from Nigerians who are currently protesting police brutality, shifted after they brought to light a murder case involving her mother Carol Afegbai. Mrs Afegbai was accused of killing Momodu Ibrahim, a student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) in May 2013. The widow who was then the DPO of Ogida Police Station in Benin City and her orderly PC Amadin Idahosa were alleged to have shot Ibrahim and hurriedly buried his body. “My spirit will not be dampened by the death threats and cyber bullying. I am a Nigerian youth and we deserve a better Nigeria and I will continually fight until it is fixed,” Afegbai wrote addressing the accusations on her Instagram page. Lilian further went ahead and denied the allegations while sharing documents to prove. “As per my mother being dragged for murder, to the best of my knowledge my mother who is now retired did not kill anyone,” she wrote. “The police officer (AMADIN IDAHOSA) that was attached to my mother’s station who killed the suspect was sentenced to life imprisonment by Justice R. Irele-Ifijeh of the High Court of Justice, Edo State in Charge No: B/CD/24C/2014.” She revealed that Idahosa is currently serving his jail term at the Oko Prison in Benin although he has appealed the matter up to the Supreme Court. “My spirit will never be broken. I will fight for justice and against the system that have put all of us into this mess,” she added. See the document below:

A Catholic church in Pearl River, Louisiana, has burned the altar where its former pastor was caught having sex with 2 women.
“His behavior was obscene, his desecration of the altar is demonic,” said Archbishop Gregory Aymond of New Orleans, who consecrated a new altar at the church Sunday.
The former pastor at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Travis Clark, has been removed from ministry and is no longer on the diocese payroll, WDSU reported.
Clark, 37, was arrested Sept. 30 with Mindy Dixon and Melissa Cheng on obscenity charges after a passer-by reported seeing them having sex on the church’s altar, the New Orleans Advocate reported.
Police confiscated sex toys, stage lights and two recording devices from inside the church, according to the publication.
Attorney Bradley Phillips, who represents Dixon and Cheng, called their arrest “appalling,” and said they were engaged in consensual sex with an adult outside public view, the New Orleans Advocate reported.
Aymond told the congregation at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Sunday that the previous altar had been removed and burned, WVUE reported.
“The church is a very holy place,” Aymond said Sunday, WDSU reported. “When a church has been used for unholy things and it has been desecrated, we must drive away the evil spirit, and that is what we do today.”
Church-goers said they would pray for Clark.
“He had a moment of weakness, we still love him, we’ll still support him, we’ll still pray for him and ask God for what he did and have a sincere and sorrowful heart,” said Steve Fecke, WVUE reported.
Advocates for victims of sex abuse by priests protested outside the church before the mass Sunday.
