Ricky Martin is facing a $3 million lawsuit from his former manager.
In new court docs obtained by ET, Rebecca Drucker, who served as Martin’s manager in 2014-2018 and again from May 2020 to April 2022, is alleging that she was not paid the money she was owed per the management agreement she says they established, with the suit noting that Martin “maliciously refused to pay Rebecca the millions of dollars in commissions that he owes her under their management agreement.”
In the complaint filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Drucker asked for $3 million, “or according to proof, and unpaid commissions are accruing on an ongoing basis.”
Drucker claims that she “saved Ricky Martin’s career” and that she “protected” the “Livin’ la Vida Loca” singer from “the consequences of his reckless indiscretions.”
“Rebecca did so not only because she was his manager, but also because she thought that Martin was her dear friend,” the suit filed by attorneys Joshua M. Rosenberg and Armound Ghoorchian at Venable LLP read.
Drucker alleged that she was in “a toxic work environment” and alluded to “a particularly ugly incident in Dubai involving Martin and his representative José Vega” in 2018, which caused her to resign from the role. After months of Martin asking for Drucker’s return, she says she decided to give her professional relationship with Martin “another shot,” returning as manager in May 2020.
But upon her return, Drucker claims she found that The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story actor’s personal life was “in disarray.”
“Although Martin’s career flourished since he re-hired Rebecca as his manager in May 2020, she was forced to deal with a litany of Martin’s personal issues, such as problems with the nanny he hired to care for his children, Martin’s nonpayment of taxes, and his substance abuse, among other issues,” the suit alleged.
Drucker also claims she took steps to protect Martin’s career. In September 2020, Martin received a letter from a highly-respected litigation attorney in Los Angeles, in which the attorney threatened to publicly file a legal complaint against Martin if he did not pay money to resolve a claim against him alleged by this attorney’s client.
“After reading the legal letter, Martin collapsed. He expressed his extreme fear to Rebecca that if this threat were carried out, the consequences to Martin would be catastrophic,” the suit alleged.
In response, Drucker brought in “one of the top defense attorneys in Los Angeles” to defend the performer against the “devastating claim.”
“Needless to say, the claim ultimately never saw the light of day,” with Drucker alleging that “once again” she “saved Martin’s career” with the “exceptional managerial and advisory services that she provided to him” during the ordeal.
While dealing with these matters was all “part of the job” for Drucker, she claims she was not “receiving the compensation from the Martin Entities that she deserved.”
In addition, after an attempt to resign as Martin’s manager in July 2021, Drucker remained in the role at an increased rate, claiming she was promised a ten percent commission on gross income under the Management Agreement moving forward, instead of the five percent they agreed to in May 2020 — which she claims Martin Entities has refused to pay her and will likely not pay her, in the future for “Martin’s services as a singer, songwriter, actor, sponsor, and influencer, among other professional activities” Drucker claims “she is entitled based on said future gross income.”
The complaint, Drucker’s attorney says, “only scratches the surface,” With Rosenberg adding that Drucker looks forward to taking the matter to trial.
“Rebecca looks forward to having her day in court and prosecuting her claims in front of a jury,” Rosenberg said after Wednesday’s filing.

Paris Hilton is opening up about her decision to choose Britney over Biden.
The This is Paris podcast host, 41, stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday evening, where she opened up to guest-host Chelsea Handlerabout attending Britney Spears‘ wedding to Sam Asghari, and how it was a can’t-miss event.
After Handler, 47, asked Hilton about a “conflict” that involved Spears’ wedding day, the star explained that President Joe Biden had asked her to DJ the Summit of Americas dinner, which she turned down to instead be by her friend’s side.
“It was the same night of Britney’s wedding, and I was like, ‘No, I’m not going to miss that,’ ” Hilton said. “And they were like, ‘We can send a helicopter, [you can] fly back and forth,’ and I’m like, ‘I’m not going to be the one, like, landing in and out of Britney’s wedding in a helicopter.’ C’mon!”
“So, I had to cancel on the president. Sorry!” she continued, later adding, “It’s Britney, bitch!” when asked by Handler if she explained that it was an “emergency” that Spears, 40, was getting married.
Hilton and Spears have been friends since their days as young stars in the spotlight in the early 2000s.
The “Stars Are Blind” singer previously teased that she had skipped out on President Biden’s offer during a mini-episode of her This Is Paris podcast recorded shortly after she returned from the intimate wedding ceremony at Spears’ home earlier this month.
“Hey everyone. I just got home, and I was on my Twitter and saw there were tons of messages since I got photographed going into an event tonight. [I was] keeping it top-secret all week,” Hilton began.
“I did not tell anyone,” she continued, referring to her “whole team” of makeup and hair artists, wardrobe stylists, and a driver about the event — which she attended along with her husband Carter Reum, mom Kathy Hilton, and A-listers including Madonna, Selena Gomez and Drew Barrymore.
“I was actually asked to DJ for the president and all of the other presidents from around the world for the dinner, but this was more important to me,” Hilton continued. “I’m not gonna go into any details because it was the princess bride’s night, and that’s her story to tell. But all I can say is I am just so incredibly happy for her.”

A Bulgarian woman dubbed the “Crypto Queen” after she raised billions of dollars in a fraudulent virtual currency scheme was placed on the FBI’s 10 most wanted list Thursday.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation put up a $100,000 reward for Ruja Ignatova, who disappeared in Greece in October 2017 around the time US authorities filed a sealed indictment and warrant for her arrest.
The 42-year-old, who is also a German citizen, was behind one of the most notorious scams in the frequently treacherous world of crypto currencies.
In 2014 she launched OneCoin, ostensibly aiming to replace Bitcoin as the world’s leading virtual money.
“OneCoin claimed to have a private blockchain,” said FBI Special Agent Ronald Shimko in a statement.
“This is in contrast to other virtual currencies, which have a decentralized and public blockchain. In this case, investors were just asked to trust OneCoin,” he said.
Ignatova disappeared in 2017 as international investigators began to close in on her group.
“Investigators believe Ignatova may have been tipped off that she was under investigation by US and international authorities,” the FBI said Thursday.
“She traveled from Sofia, Bulgaria, to Athens, Greece, on October 25, 2017, and has not been seen since.”
Ignatova was placed on Europol's most wanted list on May 11, and the agency announced a reward of 5,000 euros ($5,200) for information leading to her whereabouts.
But as of Thursday, her name was removed from the list.
It was unclear why or when she got off of it, and neither European nor American officials have provided information indicating whether or not she is still alive.
Konstantin Ignatov, her brother, was detained at the Los Angeles International Airport in March 2019 and eventually entered a plea agreement with US law enforcement to admit guilt to wire fraud.
His sentencing has been postponed due to what the Justice Department claimed was continuous cooperation in the investigation in court files.
Sebastian Greenwood, a different companion, was jailed in Thailand in 2018 and then released.

Ighalo scored twice as Al Hilal overcame relegated Al-Faisaly 2-1 to win the Saudi Arabia Professional League championship on Monday night.

The striker, who concluded the season with 24 goals as the season's leading scorer, received a double honor as a result.

The largest contract deal in league history, at $264 million over five years, will keep Nikola Jokic with the Denver Nuggets, according to reports in US media on Thursday. Jokic is the two-time defending NBA Most Valuable Player.
The Denver Post was one of many media sites covering Serbian star Jokic's enormous contract as the league's free agency season began.
The Post pointed out that the transfer wasn't a surprise given that Jokic, who was selected by the Nuggets in the second round of the 2014 draft, said he wasn't interested in leaving after Denver's playoff loss to the Golden State Warriors.
He added that he was in a “really good relationship with everybody from owner to equipment manager.”
Such stability wasn’t to be seen everywhere, as reports that Brooklyn superstar Kevin Durant had requested a trade shocked the league on Thursday.
ESPN, citing unnamed sources, said Durant — a two-time NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors — was eyeing a move to either the Phoenix Suns or the Miami Heat, but that the Nets would be aiming to get the best deal possible for the star with four years remaining on his contract.
Durant, 33, re-signed with the Nets in 2021 for four years and $198 million.
He arrived in Brooklyn in 2019, departing Golden State as a free agent to form a superteam alongside point guard Kyrie Irving.
The Nets would later acquire guard James Harden, but the star trio never gelled.
Irving missed much of the 2021-22 season after declining to be vaccinated against coronavirus, a disgruntled Harden was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in February and the Nets were swept in the first round of the playoffs by the Boston Celtics.
Durant’s trade request shook the league hours before the opening of free agency on Thursday, when teams can officially begin talks to sign players who are not under contract.
A day earlier, Irving exercised his option to remain under contract with the Nets for a $36.9 million in the upcoming season. However, there were widespread predictions that he, too, would seek to depart Brooklyn.
