I Still Miss Gbenga Adeboye 19 Years After Death – wife

#jaiyeorie   Lara, the late entertainer and broadcaster Gbenga Adeboye, aka Funwontan's wife, has stated that she still misses him 19 years after.


"I miss him," she remarked in a brief chat with Saturday Beats.
He is sorely missed by everyone.
May God continue to provide for his soul's needs."


Adeboye passed away on April 30, 2003, following a battle with a kidney disease.


The death of the entertainer had a significant impact on the entertainment business.
Adeboye was a multitalented individual who opened the door to popularity not just for himself but also for those around him. He was not simply an actor, comedian, or ace broadcaster.

The musician recently disclosed that he is being compensated for his appearance at the Rolling Loud concert in Toronto, Canada.

Big Wiz announced on his Instagram account that he's being paid another one million dollars to come exhibit what he's excellent at.

 The Nigerian government recognized Nigerian celebrity singers' contribution to cultural tourism on Friday.


The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, made the acknowledgment during a phone-in program with Radio Nigeria in Abuja, mentioning star artists Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, and Tiwa Savage.


The minister also expressed confidence in the country's ability to host the first Global Conference on Cultural Tourism and Creative Industry, which would take place in Lagos from November 14 to 17, 2022.

 

 

In his words: “The Wizkid of this world, the Burna Boy, Davido and Tiwa Savage have really shown the world that Nigeria is a hub of the creative industry.

“The security challenge Nigeria is facing did not start today and I must say the Federal Government is rising very stoutly to it.

“We cannot say just because we have insecurity challenge, other sectors of the economy should not be developed

“The entire world is aware of the challenges we are facing, yet we were singled out for the hosting of the very first global conference and that speaks volume.

‘Best Man: The Final Chapters’ Adds Some Alisters For Guest Starring Roles In Limited Series

If you haven't heard, a limited series based on the "Best Man" is in the works, and filming is already beginning!The OGs return to reprise their legendary roles alongside a collection of top-tier talent in the limited series "Best Man."


Following the great success of the original Best Man picture, which was released in theaters in 1999, and its sequel, The Best Man Holiday, which was released in 2013, NBC's streaming service is poised to release a limited series later this year Peacock. 

Morris Chestnut (Lance Sullivan), Melissa De Sousa (Shelby Taylor), Taye Diggs (Harper Stewart), Regina Hall (Candace Murchison), Terrence Howard (Quentin Spivey), Sanaa Lathan (Robyn Stewart), Nia Long (Jordan Armstrong), and Harold Perrineau (Harold Perrineau) are all scheduled to reprise their roles (Julian Murchison).
Monica Calhoun, whose character died in the sequel, is the only actress missing.

Afrobeats singer Ayodeji Balogun a.k.a. Wizkid will headline the 2022 Rolling Loud Festival in Toronto, Canada, alongside other major international artists.


To headline the music festival, the award-winning ace singer disclosed that he was paid a hefty $1 million (N585 million).

Shizzi, a well-known Nigerian music producer, has slammed his manager, Efe, for a six-year publishing arrangement with Sony Music.


The music mogul described Efe as a "heartless human being" who allegedly put him into the worst music deal in six years.
The producer also claimed that he was "unwittingly signed to an antiquated MDRC arrangement because of Efe," and that "he never offered him the ability to choose an attorney to oversee the deal in 2016 because his (Efe's) friend/partner in crime was the attorney they were obliged to work with on the deal."


He went on to say that while SonyATV has agreed to let him go if Efe agrees to the termination terms, he (Efe) has refused.

Following the triumph of his sold-out concert, One Night in Space at Madison Square Garden, New York, Burna Boy took to social media to praise New York City for being so gracious to him.


The Grammy winner, who has been praised on Twitter for going above and above during his performance, composed a note that he shared on his Instagram stories.

Burna Boy who performed to a sold out audience on Thursday, a first for an African artiste, started off with writing; “The Journey in NY has been a blessing. PlayStation theatre in 2017, Gramercy theatre in 2018, The Apollo in 2019 and Today 2022 we are in MADISON SQUARE GARDEN. Thank you NEW YORK for sticking with me all these years through this great Journey. Love, Damini.”

Jada Pinkett Smith opened up about her childhood anxiety… which was triggered by her daughter Willow’s anxiety as well.

The 50-year-old actress opened up on her Facebook Watch show Red Table Talk, where she was joined by 21-year-old Willow, plus another famous mother-daughter duo, Kim Basinger, 68, and Ireland Baldwin, 26.

Pinkett Smith revealed that it took Willow’s struggles with anxiety to realize that she suffered from that as well when she was growing up.

‘It took me a long time to understand Willow. I mean, just her anxiety. I had a really difficult time relating, because, two things — her lifestyle and how she was brought up very different than mine — I don’t know what it’s like to be a child under hot lights,’ Jada began.

On Wednesday, the former WWE superstar paid a surprise visit to the wax museum in Las Vegas to inspect the resemblance of his new statue, which was placed a month ago.

In the run-up to the 2015 presidential election, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo described his nomination as running mate to then-candidate Muhammadu Buhari as "surprising."


When he learnt of his candidacy, he said he was working on a Supreme Court matter involving a defection of a federal politician.


On Wednesday, when he entertained members of the State House Press Corps to a breaking of fast (Iftar) at his Aguda Residence at the President Villa in Abuja, Mr Osinbajo related the story of his ascension.

“I was working on the case at Peniel Apartments in Abuja on December 18, 2014, when at about 1 a.m. in the morning, I received a call from Rauf Aregbesola that they were coming to Lagos to pick me.

“I said I was in Abuja. He said ‘good because you have been nominated as the vice-presidential candidate’ and I said is that how you nominate people,” Mr Osinbajo said.

A source close to Jason Sudeikis tells PEOPLE: "Papers were drawn up to establish jurisdiction relating to the children of Ms. Wilde and Mr. Sudeikis," referring to the former couple's son Otis, 8, and daughter Daisy Josephine, 5.

 

While on stage, the actress was handed a mystery manila envelope with custody papers from her ex-fiancé and father of their two children, Jason Sudeikis, according to Deadline.


On Tuesday, Olivia Wilde was giving a presentation about her next directorial movie when someone approached the platform and slid an envelope towards her.
Before she opened it, she inquired, "Is this for me?"
With the envelope in her hands, a seemingly unconcerned Wilde kept speaking to the audience until revealing the first complete trailer, which was welcomed with "huge acclaim."

The envelope marked "Personal and Confidential" was initially thought to contain an unsolicited script.


Sudeikis' spokeswoman claimed Wednesday that he "had no previous knowledge of the time or place that the envelope would have been delivered as this would solely be up to the process service firm involved and he would never condone her being served in such an unethical manner."
His attorneys allegedly devised the plot to hand-deliver the custody papers to Wilde at CinemaCon.

As an artist, If I get 300 messages about it, she’s getting 30,000 messages about it. So, it’s a little bit different [for her]. She walks around and people are staring at her differently. [As for myself], I really don’t care if you’re staring at me: I could grill you back and sort of give off an energy where it’s like, ‘Ah, let’s leave him alone today. He doesn’t want to take a picture.’ But Teyana is an approachable person. People don’t only want to come up to her and take a picture. They want to have a conversation. They want to make sure she’s okay. They want to hug her. They want to talk about her kids. If a story like this is floating around, this is something that would weigh on her. So, when she articulated that to me, it did make me want to say something, do something. As we discussed it within our household, it [decided] we need to press them legally, we need to handle things aggressively. I just think that it’s crazy that we’re in a year that this is real. Someone can put a story out on this and whether it’s true or not, it’s going to have whatever effects on the people that are in that story.”
