Ray J has come a long way from the Kim Kardashian sex tape scandal.Ray J started an electronics company called Raytroniks a few years ago and began shipping an electric bike called the Scoot-E-Bike in 2016. He got promotional help from his cousin, rapper Snoop Dogg; his sister, singer Brandy Norwood; basketball star Stephen Curry; and other Hollywood celebrities. Electric bikes were already popular in Asia, but Ray J’s bike took off in the U.S., thanks to the star-studded promos.

He also cut a $31 million distribution deal with Cowboy Wholesale, a consumer electronics distributor based in New York. Now the combined company, called Raycon Global, is expanding its lineup of electronics gear with other “lifestyle” products. These include Bluetooth audio devices, smart watches, and drones. Ray J serves as chief strategy officer, while Ray Lee runs other parts of the business. At CES 2018, they made a lot of noise about the new markets they are going after.

Nicki Minaj, who has more than 90 million followers on Instagram, has returned following a hiatus of nearly four years to drop her fourth album, Queen. Within a few hours of the album’s release, Queen had reached number one in more than 85 countries, including the UAE, Palestine, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia. The success was met with high-profile acclaim, with Naomi Campbell and Kim Kardashian sharing their support ahead of the artist’s performance at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards on August 20.

Minaj’s return has been truly triumphant, with the star bagging the cover of Vogue Arabia’s second September issue. Model Bella Hadid was the star of the debut September 2017 cover, shot by Karl Lagerfeld.

“The fashion industry has been successfully collaborating with rap artists because they appeal to young luxury consumers and global influence. In 2018, we’re not just obsessing over their lyrics, we’re taking their style notes, too,” explains editor-in-chief Manuel Arnaut of Vogue Arabia’s 17th cover. “For us, Nicki Minaj embodies everything that makes the industry crossover a success. She’s the author and producer of most of her material, is a platinum-selling rapper, a successful businesswoman with clothing, fragrance, and beverage lines, and has appeared on Time’s 100 most influential people list. Put simply, she’s the ultimate girl boss.”
In this moment when the fashion industry discusses inclusivity, diversity, and equality, it was only fitting that the cover story was shot in New York, just a few days before the Met Gala, by an all-female team. Renowned photographer Emma Summerton was behind the lens, while the styling was done by Anna Katsanis and overseen by Vogue Arabia fashion director Katie Trotter. The hair and makeup looks were created by Kim Kimble and Sheika Daley respectively.

Accompanying Minaj’s cover story is an exclusive interview by Arnaut, in which the rapper talks quitting social media, healing heartbreak, and bouncing back stronger than ever to reclaim her crown.
“I think anybody who says they don’t care about horrible things being said about them or lies being spread about them are not being truthful,” says Minaj. “I’m a human being and of course it bothers me when I read lies or horrendous things about myself… I took time to create something for my fans that I knew was going to be perfection.”
Discussing her latest success and her struggle to the top, Minaj also reveals, “In the restaurant where I was a waitress, I would go to someone’s table to take the orders and before I got their bread, I’d write raps on my order notepad about what they said or what they were wearing… I always thought, I’m going to get the hell out of this joint, stop waitressing, and become a big superstar.”

Police parade 6 suspected homosexuals in Abia

The Abia state police command have arrested 6 suspected homosexuals who were caught kissing and caressing at the City Global Hotel in Aba, the state capital.

The state police commissioner, Anthony Ogbizi, said the hotel manager had alerted the police after two of the homosexuals were found kissing and caressing themselves by the hotel bar. A search in a room where one of them checked in, showed that there were several others in the room caressing and kissing themselves.

According to the police report, the suspects were interrogated and it was discovered that they were members of a gang who came into Abia from nearby states to practise the unnatural act in the hotel room.
The suspects, however, denied committing the crime, saying that they were in Aba for the birthday party of one of their friends, Ndubuisi, adding that their families were not aware that they were arrested.

One of them, Chidera, who is an Imo State University undergraduate, said they were all in one room because they were told that the category of room they asked for was not available.

“I arrived the hotel at about 6pm and I asked my friend to book for a room for me. The hotel management said we should pay N5,000 for a room and we could afford it. So, we decided to manage that one room. After drinking at the hotel bar, we went to the room to change our clothes.  It was at that time that we heard a knock on the door and when we opened the door, the manager started asking why we were six in the room. After explaining to him, he said they don’t allow more that three persons in a room and that was how he accused us of practising homosexuality in the room. There was nothing like kissing or making love in the room and we are not gays.” she said

 Another suspect, Ndubuisi, who claimed to be a hair stylist, also stated that he only invited his friends for his birthday party and lodged them in the hotel, adding that they did not indulge in any homosexual act.

“I invited my friends for my birthday and I wanted to pay for two rooms but we couldn’t because the rooms were filled up, that was why we were in one room,” he said.

The Commissioner of Police, however, said the hotel management would bring the evidence against the suspects, who, he said, would be charged to court.

Eve  with her husband Maximillion Cooper to kick off his Gumball 3000 rally. Eve hopped in the driver's seat this time.The annual star studded, exotic car-filled road trip which raises money for Gumball 3000 Foundation to support a variety of charities, at Covent Garden in London.

For its 20th anniversary, the annual motor rally transcontinental driving tour will start in London with an action packed route filled with car shows, music concerts, and other events before ending in Tokyo .

Janet Jackson Mixes With Daddy Yankee Made For Now Single + snippet

Janet Jackson.52 is back ,she collaborates with Daddy Yankee on track "Made for Now" out today. Jackson shared cover art for the track alongside her announcement.
"From my lips... #MadeForNow with #daddyyankee 8/17," she captioned the photo.
Daddy Yankee posted the same image on his own account.
"My new song with @JanetJackson is out on August 17. Be the first to listen!" he wrote.

"Made for Now" is Jackson's 1st release since her album Unbreakable, which debuted in October 2015. Billboard said Jackson and Daddy Yankee will perform "Made for Now" on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon the same day as its release.

"I'm very intuitive about writing. Anything can inspire me," the star said of her process.
"Like everyone else, my feelings are fluid. My ideas are fleeting. I like to keep it that way," she added. "I can't decide in advance what a song or an album concept will be. I have to let those songs and concepts come to me rather than chase them down."

Rose Mcgowan makes history as first woman to win GQ’s Inspiration award

 Jawbreakers actress,Rose Mcgowan will make history at the upcoming GQ Men Of The Year Awards as the magazine’s first female recipient of the Inspiration Award. The actress will be honored for helping to kickstart the #MeToo and Time’s Up anti-harassment and equality movements by bringing attention to disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein’s alleged predatory behavior.

McGowan was among the first of many women to speak out against the movie mogul,Harevy Weinstein who she claims raped her in a hotel room at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah.

“I’m proud to be honored by GQ, receiving the Man Of The Year Inspiration award. It’s a new dawn, a new day for all of us to celebrate positive societal change” she said in a new statement, released just after her latest accolade was announced on Wednesday.

It has been a big year for the actress so far she released a hard-hitting documentary, titled Citizen Rose, and released her memoir, Brave, in which she details the bad behavior and misconduct she has experienced in Hollywood.

Announcing the honor, GQ editor Dylan Jones said, “this award recognizes the sheer strength and bravery Rose McGowan has shown in coming forward and being one of the first to publicly accuse an industry figurehead of grossly abusing his position of power. Rose is the absolute embodiment of this award and it will be great to watch her receive the award next month.”  

She will follow Brazilian soccer legend Pele, who was the recipient of the prize in 2017. The 21st annual GQ Men Of The Year Awards ceremony will take place on September 5th.
