Boity Thulo is out with a new reality show “Own Your Throne” on BET Africa.
The reality show will follow the TV personality and rapper as she progresses on her musical journey and will give viewers exclusive access to her superstar life in the entertainment industry.


The series will be 13 episodes and we will get to watch as Boity balances her business, music, and family.

Self-made youngest billionaire, Kylie Jenner has sold a 51 percent stake of her Kylie Cosmetics brand to Coty, giving up her majority ownership in the company. The sale ended up being for $600 million to Coty, which also owns brands like Covergirl, OPI, Rimmel, GHD, Clairol, Tiffany & Co. and Balenciaga among other notable beauty and fashion brands.Earlier this year, Forbes estimated Kylie Cosmetics to be worth over $900 million which propelled her to Forbes’ “youngest self-made billionaire” status.

Tony Elumelu has donated a multipurpose information and technology centre to Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma in Edo state. Zenith Bank Empowers Nigerian SMEs, Partners Facebook on SME Digital Workshop

   

Zenith Bank Plc, has reaffirmed its commitment to support local Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) with the introduction of the ‘Zenith Bank SME Digital Workshop’ to provide free digital training for business owners.


The initiative, which is being organized in partnership with social media giant Facebook, will provide free training on how SMEs can use digital platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp to grow their businesses.

WHO declares #Coronavirus international public health emergency

The World Health Organisation has declared Coronavirus epidemic as an international Public Health Emergency.

The decision Thursday came as the number of people diagnosed with the 2019-nCoV virus had skyrocketed to more than 8,200, surpassing the SARS case toll. There are also now people in at least 18 other countries with the virus.

“Over the past few weeks we have witnessed the emergence of a previously unknown pathogen which has escalated into an unprecedented outbreak,” WHO’s director general, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said.

Woman who says President Trump r.a.p.e.d her seeks his DNA

E. Jean Carroll, a New York-based writer who last summer accused President Trump of r3ping her in the 1990s, requested Thursday that he submit a DNA sample to determine whether his genetic material is on the black coat dress she said she was wearing during the alleged assault.

Carroll’s lawyers served notice to a Trump attorney on Thursday, asking that Trump provide a sample for “analysis and comparison against unidentified male DNA present on the dress.”

Carroll’s lawyers requested that Trump provide the DNA sample on March 2 in Washington.

A viral news that claimed that an Abuja based pastor, J.S. Yusuf has been anointing the bras and pants of spinsters with his image, has been debunked as ‘fake news’.

50 Cent was honoured with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and some of those who stepped out to support him were Dr. Dre and Eminem.

The hip-hop legends discovered 50 in 2002 and signed him to Shady Records, and yesterday, they took a moment during the ceremony to praise the artist and dear friend.

The In Da Club rapper, real name Curtis Jackson, attended the ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard on Thursday (30 January), where large crowds gathered to watch the milestone moment in Fiddy’s career. Looking especially dapper in a two-piece grey suit and red polo neck jumper, 50 Cent was joined by close friend and Power actress Lala Anthony as he accepted the honour.

But he was particularly touched that his old pal Eminem, 47, made the effort to support him and deliver a speech that was, frankly, beautiful.


‘Of all the things I don’t remember about 2002, I have a very clear memory of the first time I met 50,’ Eminem told the audience who cheered along.

‘One of the first things I noticed about 50 was his presence because it just kind of felt like, he’s gonna be a star… It just seemed like he was the whole package.’

 Eminem clearly had a crystal ball at the time as Fiddy went on to become one of the biggest rap stars and music moguls.

“Out of all the things that I don’t remember about 2002, I have a very clear memory of the first time I met 50,” Eminem said, per THR. “I think one of the things I noticed when he first walked into the room was his presence, right, because it just kinda felt like he’s gonna be a star. Like, just the way he carried himself, swagger, everything. It just seemed like he was the whole package. What’s crazy about it to me is the charisma and the personality matched the intensity of his music and that first album is so classic.”

Bishop Oyedepo denied US Visa

There was mild drama at the Lagos office of the Embassy of the United States Thursday as the senior pastor of Winners’ Chapel International, Bishop David Oyedepo was denied visa.




The embassy reportedly did not give any other reason except the standard default explanation that the Bishop did not qualify for visa renewal in its assessment and urged him to try again.

Five Visa Fraudsters Apprehended By EFCC

The Abuja Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, January 30, 2020, arraigned 5 suspected visa fraudsters before Justice Olubukola Banjoko on a seven-count charge, bordering on false pretence and obtaining by tricks to the tune of N1.8 million.

The defendants are: Ifeyinwa Mbamalu, Christian Akor, Grace Oluseun Akinwunmi, Samuel Chinedu Iwuagwu and Adebola Saheed Adewale.

They were accused to have connived to obtain money from their victims in the guise of helping them to obtain Canadian visas.

One of the charges reads: “That you, Christian Akor between October 13th and 18th 2018, in Abuja within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, dishonestly converted to your own use, the sum of N300, 000, being part of the sum of N1, 800,000, received by one Ifeyinwa Mbamalu, purportedly to procure a valid Canadian Visa and thereby committed an offence contrary to section 308, of the Penal code Act; and punishable under section 309, of the same Act.”

The defendants persons pleaded “not guilty” to the charges.
