En Vogue Unveil Their ‘Rocket’ Video

En Vogue is about to make a splash in the music scene with new single “Rocket,”. "Rocket," written by Ne-Yo and produced by Curtis “Sauce” Wilson, is the official single from the forthcoming album, Electric Cafe. .They are serving up futuristic vibes in the Damien Sandoval-directed video, shot in the El Mirage dry lake bed in California.

NFF appoints former Sweden coach, Thomas Dennerby as Super Falcons' technical adviser till 2020

The Nigerian Football Federation has signed an agreement with Sweden's best football coach, Thomas Dennerby, to take on the role of head coach of eight African champions, Super Falcons.

 

The contract also allows Dennerby to enter the job with an assistant, Mr Jorgen Petersson, another very experienced Swedish coach named by Dennerby himself.   Dennerby, who spent nine years with Allsvesnkan's Hammarby IF and took part in the European Cup in 1983 and 1985, won 34 selections for the Swedish junior teams between 1975 and 1981.

 He coached the Swedish senior women's team between 2005 and 2012, during which the team played at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games and the finals of the 2007 and 2011 FIFA World Cups, winning the bronze medal at the latter tournament.

He has also served as a youth coach for Stockholm FA and worked in various capacities for the former Hammarby club between 1993 and 2001.   More recently, he did scouting and analysis for the Swedish federation at the 2013 and 2017 European Championships, the 2016 Olympic Games and the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada. Petersson has worked with several major Swedish clubs including Moheda IF, Osters IF, Vaxjo, Alvesta Golf, IFK Varmamo, Malmö FF, Kalmar FF and Linkopings FC, as assistant coach of the Swedish women's under-23 team between 2006 and 2012 and was recruited women's national team at the European Championship last year. The meeting is in line with NFF President Amaju Pinnick's commitment to recruit a world-class coach to bring the Super Falcons and other national women's teams to the next level (from competition and laurels to world championships). Work so hard with the Federation to ensure the robust development of women's football in Nigeria. Pinnick expressed his joy that the process went smoothly and ensured the coaches of a work environment conducive to reaching the milestones set.

“The NFF decided to go for a coach of the calibre of Thomas Dennerby for three reasons: to sustain and enhance the Super Falcons’ dominance on the African scene; to take the Falcons and the other women teams to the next level of challenging for laurels at global competitions like the Olympics and the FIFA World Cup and; to generally lay the foundation for the real development of women’s football in our country,” Shehu Dikko, NFF 2nd Vice President/Chairman of Strategy, told thenff.com.  

Dikko added: “Dennerby will live in Nigeria most of the time and support the other women teams whenever he has the time. The contract is until the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo in the initial, with the right for automatic renewal subject to meeting performance milestones as agreed. He will be in Nigeria very soon for the public unveiling.  

“The NFF Technical and Development Committee has already shortlisted three Nigerians to work with Messrs Dennerby and Petersson as assistant coaches and goalkeeper trainer. These three will resume work soon to start preparing the team for the upcoming WAFU Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire pending the resumption of Dennerby and Petersson.”  

The three coaches who will work with Dennerby and Petersson will be announced soon.

Weinstein's former assistant suing for having to clean up his semen and used condoms

According to page six, Weinstein's former assistant, Sandeep Rehal, 26, is suing him for a number of damages, including having to clean the furniture after his frequent appointments and even picking up condoms and syringes after injecting his penis with a drug that looks like Viagra.


Sandeep, who worked for Weinstein for 2 years before resigning in February 2015 saying she "could not take it anymore," also sued The Weinstein Company and the company's management team for unspecified damages.

Sandeep Rehal “was required to be involved in and aware of the preparation for, and clean up after, Harvey Weinstein’s extremely prolific sexual encounters,” her Manhattan federal court suit says.
“Another ‘task’ Ms. Rehal was forced to do to aid Harvey Weinstein’s sexual encounters was to clean up the semen on the couch in Harvey Weinstein’s office… on a regular basis,” the suit says.
But the married 65-year-old “Shakespeare in Love” producer needed a boost to consummate the frequent trysts, so Rehal provided that, too, she says in court papers.
The 26-year-old managed “the stock of Caverject shots for his erectile dysfunction,” referring to the medication that’s injected directly into the penis.
“She had to obtain the shots and keep them stocked in a cabinet behind her desk at Harvey Weinstein’s TWC office,” the suit says, using the initials of The Weinstein Company.
“Every time Harvey Weinstein went to meet a woman at a hotel, in the office, or elsewhere, which occurred on average at least three times a week when he was in New York, Ms. Rehal was required as part of her job to provide [him] with a shot, which she placed in his jacket pocket or in a brown paper bag,” the suit states.
After he’d administer the cringe-worthy injection and have sex with a stable of “girls” that Rehal maintained in a list, she’d retrieve the used syringes and condoms from hotel rooms before “housekeeping personnel would do their work,” the suit says.
The list, called “Harvey’s Friends,” had the women’s names with asterisks next to his favorites.
When Weinstein’s regular London doctor stopped prescribing him the impotence drugs, he paid Rehal a $500 bonus to find him a replacement supply, the suit says.
The 11-page suit includes additional sickening details about Weinstein allegedly rubbing “his large belly” against his young assistant, groping her thighs and buttocks, and demanding that she “take dictation of his emails while he was naked.”
He often complimented Rehal for her looks and “leered at her.”
“In a futile attempt to minimize Harvey Weinstein’s comments about her appearance, Ms. Rehal started wearing pants,” she says in the suit.
He allegedly responded by complaining, “You used to dress so cute and now what’s going on?”
He demeaned his assistant by calling her a “c—t” and a “p—y,” in front of other company staff and reminded them who was the boss, the suit says.
“He bragged about his power, stating to Ms. Rehal and other employees, ‘I am Harvey Weinstein and you are at Weinstein University. I decide whether or not you graduate,” court papers state.
On numerous occasions he uttered, “What’s wrong Sandeep, is the tampon up too far today?”
Rehal worked at TWC for two years before quitting in February 2015 because she “couldn’t take it anymore.”
“Although Harvey Weinstein told Ms. Rehal when he hired her that “he was ‘a tough guy and hard to work for,’ she could never have imagined how awful and terrifying her job would be.” she says in the suit.
“As a result of the hostile work environment caused by the incessant sexual harassment, Ms. Rehal has suffered, and continues to suffer from severe emotional distress, anxiety, depression, humiliation, fear, anguish and loss of self-esteem,” the filing states.
She’s suing Weinstein, The Weinstein Company and the firm’s executives for unspecified damages.

 Osinbajo has concluded his participation in the World Economic Forum 2018 (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland. He led the Nigerian delegation to the summit which began on Tuesday and is expected to be concluded this  Friday.

A talented producer / singer, Adey revealed that Tinny Entertainment has not paid royalties for his production work on Ycee's hit song Juice and might sue the label. Adey, who also produced Olamide's Wavy Level last year, revealed that he had received more money from Tinny Entertainment for "Juice" and that it was a much bigger song than "Wavy Level" . Speaking on episode 3 of M.A.T.S. Podcast, Adey said:

I haven’t gotten any (money). I made more money from ‘Wavy level’ than I have made from ‘Juice’. The problem with Nigeria is that if you show your soft side too much, people always take you for a ‘d*#khead’. That’s the truth about it. That’s why everyone is so guarded and so angry around here. You make one small step towards trusting someone, and they turn around and dump it on you.

For me, the type of person I am, I will keep it moving. Regardless of ‘Juice’ or not, my life will still go on.

What me I’m personally about is actually doing the right thing. I get upset when people who are close to you take measures to make sure they don’t do the right thing.

Adey said;

          Stephanie Otobo, a Nigerian singer based in Canada, who claimed to have had an affair with Omega Fire Ministry's Pastor, Apostle Johnson Sulaiman, appeared Tuesday in the Tinubu court in Lagos, where a lawsuit against her was lodged by Magistrate Kikelomo Bukola Ayeye. According to SaharaReporters, the president of the court on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, said she would return the case for reallocation, adding that her action was guided by a directive she received through a letter from the office of the deputy chief clerk. She also indicated that the letter inviting her to transfer the case was dated January 2017 and that she thought it could be an administrative error. The magistrate said that the letter arrived shortly after his clerk informed the parties that the case would be submitted to him today.      Uchenna Moneke, a lawyer in Festus Keyamo's chamber, representing Otobo and the second defendant, Wisdom Godstime, tried to persuade the magistrate not to transfer the case. He argued that his client had not received any requests and that he had not received a copy of the letter either. He said that such a practice is a violation of the legal code of conduct. He also deplored the complainant's absence, Mr. Sulaiman, in court since the beginning of the case. Ms. Ayeye, however, stated that she had no reason to refuse to transfer the case.   At the last adjourned date, Godstime was absent in court, which caused the magistrate to issue a bench warrant against him. The warrant was however revoked today as he was present today’s.

He explained, through his lawyer, that he could not make it to court because he was sick. A doctor’s report was presented to court as proof for his absence.
Magistrate Ayeye consequently adjourned the matter till May 2, 2018, when parties would appear before the new magistrate.

 

“I am not emotionally attached to any of the cases before me. If I am asked to transfer a case, I will transfer it,” she said.

#timesup Doctor Larry Nassar sentenced to up to 175 Years in Prison

Dr. Larry Nassar, former USA Gymnastics team doctor, has been sentenced to between 40 and 175 years in prison, Guardian reports.


Nassar, who had pleaded guilty to molesting 7 girls in his custody, had a total of 156 girls and women testifying against him at his sentencing hearing. 24 other girls and women also sent private letters to the court, explaining how they too have been abused by Nassar.


“It is my honor to sentence you because, sir, you do not deserve to walk outside of a prison ever again,” Judge Rosemarie Aquilina, who gave the judgement said. “Anywhere you walk, destruction would occur to those most vulnerable,” she added.
Nassar, giving a brief statement before the sentencing, said hearing his victims’ testimonies shook him to his core. He said:

Your words these past several days have had a significant emotional effect on myself and have shaken me to my core.
I will carry your words with me for the rest of my days.

Victims who testified included Olympic champions Aly Raisman and McKayla Maroney,
Nassar is now serving a 60-year sentence in federal prison for possession of child pornography.

Erykah Badu, in an interview with Vulture, discussed how she avoids groupthink and tries to figure out things for herself.
Badu,explained that she does not judge people like Bill Cosby and Louis C. K. who have apparently done bad things because she likes to weigh situations individually. Asked what she thinks of XXXTentacion, which has, among other things, been accused of domestic violence, and Fela, who "seems to have retrograde attitudes towards women," Badu said, "I would never suggest that I have popular opinion because I do not do it. "
She later expanded on what she meant by telling story from the Bible, and explained that:

I don’t want to get scared into not thinking for myself. I weigh everything. Even what you just asked me, I would have to really think about it and know the facts in each of those situations before I made a judgment. Because I love Bill Cosby, and I love what he’s done for the world. But if he’s sick, why would I be angry with him? The people who got hurt, I feel so bad for them. I want them to feel better, too. But sick people do evil things; hurt people hurt people. I know I could be crucified for saying that, because I’m supposed to be on the purple team or the green team. I’m not trying to rebel against what everybody’s saying, but maybe I want to measure it. Somebody will call me and ask me to come to a march because such and such got shot. In that situation I want to know what really happened. I’m not going to jump up and go march just because I’m green and the person who got shot is green. The rush to get mad doesn’t make sense to me.
