You Can’t Travel With Daughter Without John Ogu’s Permission - Court Tells Footballer’s Estranged Wife

A Lagos High Court sitting in Igbosere,  granted several injunctions against Veronica Chiugo, estranged wife of Super Eagles player, John Ogu, over their 2-year-old daughter, Ivanna Adaeze. This is due to threats she issued via texts messages to the footballer.

John Ogu, via a suit filed by the firm of Olumide Babalola LP, seeks the dissolution of his marriage to Veronica Chiugo.

In the ruling delivered on Tuesday, Justice Femi Adeniyi ordered as followed:


#AN INTERIM ORDERmandating the Applicant to be responsible for the welfare, feeding, education, health needs, clothing and all other necessary needs of the child of the marriage (Baby Ivanna Ogu).

#AN INTERIM ORDERmandating the Respondent to provide the Applicant with the school/crèche’s account details of Baby Ivanna Ogu for the purpose of payment of tuition and all other fees which shall be wholly borne by the Applicant.

#AN INTERIM ORDERmandating the Applicant to promptly pay into the school/crèche’s account provided all tuition and necessary school/crèche payments as officially required by the school/crèche for the benefit of Baby Ivanna Ogu.

#AN INTERIM ORDERprohibiting the Respondent from changing Baby Ivanna Ogu’s school/crèche without the written consent of the Applicant.

#AN INTERIM ORDERmandating the Respondent to obtain health insurance for Baby Ivanna Ogu at the Applicant’s expense which monies shall be paid directly to the insurance company.

#AN INTERIM ORDERmandating the Respondent to submit Ivanna’s American and Nigerian international passports to the registrar of this honourable court for safekeeping.

#AN INTERIM ORDERmandating the Applicant to pay monthly maintenance of N50, 000 (Fifty thousand Naira).

#AN ORDER prohibiting the Respondent from moving Ivanna Ogu out of Lagos State without the written consent of the Applicant.

The suit has been further adjourned to 24th July 2018 for further hearing.

50 Years Is A Big Deal To Me – Tunde Obe

It is a season of multiple celebrations for musical couple, Tunde and Wunmi Tunde-Obe, popularly known as T.W.O. held a brief meeting at Protea Hotel in Lagos, to kick off the 30th anniversary, Tunde noted that turning 50 was a remarkable achievement to him as he surged through life’s hurdles.

“At a time where people are not really living long in Nigeria, turning 50 is a big deal to me. My father died when he was 46 while Wunmi’s father died at 49. So, I’ve outlived both our parents and, for me, that’s a major thing,” Tunde added.


On how they have managed their family and music career, he said, “Family comes first and I’ll gladly drop music if I had to choose. However, I’ve been able to combine everything and its working well.

“I’m glad I’m still here and, as for the 30 years of T.W.O, in every relationship, there will be ups and downs, but I want to assure you that Wunmi and I have never put separation or divorce on the table. It is not something we’ll ever discuss.

He noted that the successful union of he and his wife had proved those who would not give celebrity marriages any chance wrong. Besides, he explained that the problems that many marriages experienced were not limited to the world of celebrities.

 On her part, Wunmi said, “If you are doing the same thing as your partner it’s easier. He understands when I’m not doing certain things and when I have to do certain things. In the beginning, when the children were very young, it was a little bit challenging because, sometimes, I would have to take a child I was breastfeeding to the studio.”

On how she keeps her 21 year old marriage to Emmy winning actor Courtney B. Vance going, the Black Panther star shared:

Angela is unarguably one of Hollywood’s most sort after actors, however, she admits that being a part of Black Panther increased her reach as she now has fans cutting across the age range of 6- 86, according to Porter Edit.
“Black Panther has definitely brought me a broader audience,” Bassett said, adding: “The audience for it has been from six years old to 86. Every now and again, something comes along that moves movie culture forward, and Black Panther definitely sits on that throne. To have a black male superhero, but also to have strong, complicated, vivid, black female characters was special. Usually we are just the mothers of, the lovers of… Culturally, socially, it just resonates on so many different levels, and I’m so proud to be a part of it.”

On how she raises her 12 year old twins, Slater and Bronwyn, Bassett reveals that they don’t own cellphones or iPads as she denies them some things just to remind them that she did not get everything she wanted while growing up.

 They don’t have cell phones or iPads. I had a pencil and paper, they can have pencil and paper. I can’t give them everything – I don’t give myself everything.

On how she remains ageless, Bassett shares that she is not big on exercise but 85 percent of her toned body and ever young features is due to proper diet.

Sharon Osbourne Slams Meghan Markle's Dad

Meghan Markle's father is 'utterly furious' after Sharon Osbourne said it was 'so obvious' he had a 'bad drinking problem'.

Osbourne made allegations on her CBS panel show, The Talk, just one day after Thomas Markle was filmed for a tell-all interview about his broken relationship with his daughter, the Duchess of Sussex.

'It is so obvious that you have a bad drinking problem,' she said of Thomas, a former Hollywood lighting director.

'And it's obvious that over the last few years, you haven't been close with your daughter.

'Get yourself clean and sober and then come back.'

Friends of the 74-year-old hit back in Thomas' defense, telling The Sun he will only occasionally have a glass of wine with a meal.


One friend said Thomas was 'shocked' by Osbourne's claims about his sobriety.

'It's totally untrue and he's been through enough with his recent health issues without people making these sorts of allegations.

'He's livid. Utterly furious. Sharon Osbourne doesn't know him at all. How dare she say these things.'

Osbourne had more advice for Thomas, who she believes is 'embarrassing' his daughter.

'Just be happy for your daughter. Let her live her life,' she said.

'She is so dignified - you should try to give a little bit of that dignity for her.'

During his interview with The Sun last week, Thomas revealed he had not spoken to Meghan in two months.

Thomas told the paper he was worried for his daughter, adding: 'I see it in her eyes, I see it in her face and I see it in her smile.

'I've seen her smile for years. I know her smile. I don't like the one I'm seeing now... This is a pained smile.'

Ibarapa Poly Workers in oyo State Go On Indefinite Strike Over Unpaid 24-Month Salary

Academic activities at Ibarapa Polytechnic in Eruwa, Oyo State, were halted as the institution’s aggrieved workers started an indefinite strike over non-payment of 24 months’ salary and other entitlements by the state government.

 The protesting workers allegedly chased out students and workers from the classrooms and offices.

The protesters, who included members of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSANIP) and Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU), also locked the gates to the polytechnic and instructed students not to come to the school.


 NASU’s Chairman at the polytechnic, Ibrahim Akande, confirmed the commencement of the indefinite strike when he addressed reporters.

He warned that the Polytechnic, Ibadan, will also join the strike if the situation is not brought under control by the state government.

Waje takes South Africa for the Nelson Mandela Lecture & Obama Foundation Launch! #MakeNaijaStronger

So Inspired singer Waje arrived in Johannesburg, South Africa for the day one of America's Leaders Foundation: Africa 5-day conference, invited as an international delegate to participate in the development program this year's leadership. At the event, 3 octave range Waje gave an in-house performance to entertain and motivate the participants .




Other highlights of the trip include speaking on #MakeNaijaStronger Campaign,  at Bidvest Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg for the 2018 Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture delivered by former US President Barack Obama, and spending Nelson Mandela International Day at Pietermaritzburg where he visited historic sites such as the town hall where Nelson Mandela gave his last speech.

Like a loving mother, she hugged each and every one of them (most of them were shirtless and on briefs). My question is, if a male president, say Macron for example (deliberately using another country’s president to avoid diversionary debate) went into the female locker room of the super falcons and gave each one of them a hug (while covered in sports bras and shorts only), what would the world say?”
