Adaeze Yobo on Toke Makinwa- I remember people calling you waka waka

Adaeze Yobo + bump came out to support for Toke Makinwa saying she recalls when people called her ''waka waka''..She wrote
Oh wow! Tok star 👑 The joy of the Lord upon you shall be forever... I always say "one with God is a majority" Toke, you are "a one woman squad" A type of woman 'some people' love to hate cos they cant understand your success. You started as an OAP but i still remember people not knowing what yu did for a living asking "who is dis Toke, waka wakaring from one event to the other" to you "becoming" a T.v personality and a big brand. that is God!
(The extraordinary strategist) Since we Cldnt see what you were doing well, he shoved you down our throats😂 As if that wasn't enough, now we're all reading you. I applaud you for being so honest in this book not only did you talk about your partners issues, you also talked about your insecurities, you said n i quote "you lived in constant fear of loosing him" that including many others is you taking the blame. This book is not a hate my ex book, "On becoming, i believe was honestly written out of love, to inspire, teach and equip everyone, all women especially the young ones in choosing a partner and generally knowing when to let go of anything you are forcing to work in your life. Keep spreading my love @tokemakinwa 🙏 Get a copy of On becoming for yourself and a loved one.

Some people think we get paid 10 million for acting - Queen Nwokoye @QueenNwokoye

Queen Nwokoye has blamed people’s expectation as the reason why Nollywood actors/actresses go broke.Image result for Queen Nwokoye twitter
Speaking with Broadway Africa TV, Queen says:
I don’t think it is because they are being extravagant, how many people are to begin with? The truth of the matter is a lot of people are known faces but they are not actually making the type of money people think they make.
Then again, it is an individual thing, it is either you are here or you are there but the truth is a lot of people don’t make that kind of money they think we have.
Some people think we get paid 10 million for acting {laughs} so a lot of times, actors want to live up to false expectations from their fans and that is how they get into trouble.
As far as I am concerned, if you are paid in Nigeria and you want a Gucci bag and you convert your Naira to dollars to go and buy it because Kim Kardashian is carrying it, it doesn’t make sense because she earns dollars.
So for me it is not about being extravagant, everybody loves the good things of life but you have to draw a balance. It is about not truly making that huge amount that actors and actresses make.”
On trading her stardom for her privacy, she says:
“We enjoy the stardom and attention but sometimes you just want to walk past unnoticed and just be yourself but I wouldn’t give this up for anything in the world. I love it and appreciate it.”

I told my friends to stop sending me pictures of when they see me at the bus stop in London or something. @AdichieSpeaks

Image result for ADICHIE Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, is the new face of No7, a make-up brand owned by Boots, UK’s leading pharmacy-led health and beauty retailer.
In an interview with New York Times, when asked if she considered make-up an entry point to a wider audience, she replied:
‘I decided to do this No7 thing because I thought it might be fun, and then they will give me free makeup. And I’m always up for free things. It wasn’t a carefully calculated thing. It was actually just my being blinded by the selfish overwhelming love of makeup. But I have to be honest, there were times when I thought, ‘Well, what have I done?’ I wasn’t quite aware of how many pictures of me would be out there. It makes me feel a little vulnerable. I told my friends to stop sending me pictures of when they see me at the bus stop in London or something. It’d be very dishonest to say it’s all wonderful. It’s not so much a question of regret. But it does come with feelings of vulnerability that can be uncomfortable.’

Jesus Christ's tomb opened for 1st time in 500 years

The shrine which housed the tomb where Jesus Christ ’s body lay for 3 days after his crucifixion has been opened. The tomb’s marble lid has been removed for the first time in 5 centuries.

The tomb has been sealed in marble at least 1555 to protect it from pilgrims who kept stealing pieces as holy relics.

Archaeologist Fredrik Hiebert of National Geographic, which was a partner in the project, says:
“The most amazing thing for me was when we removed the first layer of dust and found a second piece of marble.
“This one was grey, not creamy white like the exterior, and right in the middle of it was a beautifully inscribed cross. We had no idea that was there. The shrine has been destroyed many times by fire, earthquakes, and invasions over the centuries. We didn’t really know if they had built it in exactly the same place every time.
“But this seems to be visible proof that the spot the pilgrims worship today really is the same tomb the Roman Emperor Constantine found in the 4th century and the Crusaders revered. It’s amazing.
“When we realised what we had found my knees were shaking a little bit.”
Where Jesus was laid

Fredrik adds:
“They let the patriarchs of the three churches go in first. They came out with big smiles on their face. Then the monks went in and they were all smiling.
“We were all getting really curious. Then we went in, looked into the tomb, and saw a lot of rubble. So it wasn’t empty, even though there were no artefacts or bones.”

Christmas decorations for Obama’s last holiday there

tree

The White House xmas theme is  ‘The Gift of the Holidays,’
Highlights include 56 Lego gingerbread houses – one for each state and territory – nestled in the branches of the trees in the State Dining Room.
300-pound gingerbread White House, made this year from 150 pounds of gingerbread covered in 100 pounds of bread dough.
The Lower Cross Hall, where Hillary Clinton’s portrait hangs, has been decorated with snowmen lining the corridor.
Michelle kept the two first dogs, Sunny and Bo, on their leashes while children made holiday treats with the help of chefs
What a gift: A large ribbon displayed outside the East Wing of the White House makes it possible to stand in a virtual gift box
The White House Christmas tree is in the Blue Room, which the president uses to greet guests such as foreign heads of state
A team of designers and the first lady begin to work on the White House's Christmas decorations six months ahead each year
Towers of silver gifts have been built inside the Cross Hall, which opens onto the Blue Room with the Christmas tree inside
The White House unveiled this years' Christmas decorations on Tuesday. Pictured is the Vermeil Room with its three trees
Frosty friends: A pair of snowmen have been placed on each side of a painting of Hillary Clinton in the Lower Cross Hall
A nutcracker stands in a corner of the White House's East Room, which is used for official events such as press conferences
The North Portico of the White House is decorated with a couple of matching trees covered in red bows, framing the doorway
This year's gingerbread White House is made of 150 pounds of gingerbread on the inside, 100 pounds of bread dough on the outside frame, 20 pounds of gum paste, 20 pounds of icing, and 20 pounds of sculpted sugar pieces
Another Lego creation: The Lego gingerbread houses in the State Dining Room represent the 56 states and territories
Two trees sat on each side of the chimney in the State Dining Room, while gingerbread men guarded a portrait of Lincoln
Merry Christmas, bookworms: The Library of the White House too is decorated with plenty of colorful ornaments
Larger-than-life replicas of presidential pets Bo and Sunny, made with more than 25,000 yarn pom-poms, sit in the East Wing
Children of military parents knelt down in the State Dining Room and spoke with the first lady on this festive Tuesday
The gingerbread White House dates  back to the 1970s and has graced the State Dining Room since the Nixon administration
The China Room (pictured) has been decorated with three Christmas trees - and the chimney mantel has its own ornaments
The aptly-named Red Room, one of three state parlors on the state floor, also looks festive with additional touches of green
