 In an interview with Essence, the star shared that after overworking herself in 2019, she realised the importance of taking care of her health.

Speaking on her schedule Janelle shared all the work she did that took a toll on her. She said in part; “Last year, we were at the Grammys with Dirty Computer and performing, which was fun but exhausting mentally. Then we did Coachella for two weekends along with everything in between that’s life. Then I was filming Antebellum in May for two months. Then I went on tour for two months right after that. Then I left Japan and came to L.A. to film Homecoming for two months. Looking back on it, I kind of want to slap myself for not allowing myself to have a small break in between.”

When asked what advice she would give to people who always feel the need to impress by saying yes she said in part; “Man I would say just cut it out. Right now. Just stop.”
She continued; “There’s no way that you can make everyone happy and, honestly, it’s so tiring to have to keep up with what somebody else wants from you. I would share that I understand how that feels; I’ve been there so I get it. I know that it usually comes from the best of places, wanting to make people happy, from hoping that great things will come your way, from a dream that you might have and that you want to achieve. It all might come from a good place, but just stop because it’s impossible.”

It was reported earlier that the bombshell publication alleged that Kylie's team forged financial documents to secure her billionaire status. The American business magazine recalculated her net worth at just under $900 million, a year after being crowned Forbes’ youngest self-made billionaire.

 

Reacting to the allegation raised in the report, the 22-year-old mother of one said she can "name a list of 100 things more important right now than fixating on how much money she has".

FG to pay youths N20,000 monthly to sweep markets, clear gutters

The youths will be engaged in the clearing of drainages, sweeping markets, road maintenance, traffic control, and cleaning of public infrastructures like health centres and schools, Punch writes.
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo (SAN), said this at a news conference on Thursday, noting that the scheme targeted 1,000 youths each from the 774 local governments across the country.
The minister said the programme is one of the biggest social intervention schemes to be carried out within a short period of time by any government in the history of Nigeria.
Keyamo’s speech read in part, “The pilot programme earlier approved by Mr. President was designed to mitigate lack of job opportunities in the rural areas through a short-term engagement of 1,000 unemployed persons per local government area for a period of three months.
“It is a dry season/off-season transient job programme and was originally designed for the rehabilitation/maintenance of public and social infrastructure. Participants were to be paid an allowance of N20,000 monthly and were to be recruited largely from the pool of unskilled persons resident in those rural areas.

She shared that it’s been a blessing for her family to be spending time together.

The former statesman shared that when he got a new job at a law firm Michelle worked at and found out that she would be his mentor, he couldn’t be happier. KSTP is reporting that the wife of the fired Minneapolis Police officer who has been arrested and charged in the murder of George Floyd has filed for divorce.
Per the outlet, Kellie Chauvin, through her attorney, shared her condolences to Floyd’s family and said she’s filed for dissolution of her marriage. And this comes hours after Derek Chauvin was arrested and charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in Floyd’s death.

In an interview with Variety, she spoke out about negative moments she experienced while on the set of the popular competition show. These incidents included allegations of both a toxic work environment that included racist jokes and excessive focus on female judges’ appearances, including race-related comments.

She alleged her time was marred by executive producer and head judge Simon Cowell‘s on-set smoking, guest judge Jay Leno making a racist joke, a blatantly racist act by a white contestant who imitated a black performer, and a lack of inclusiveness by those asking for preferred gender pronouns and the hair and makeup department being ill-equipped to deal with the talent of color.




Speaking on her experience making a complaint about Cowell whom she called “the most powerful person” on the set smoking, Union claimed she was made to feel like her becoming sick as a result of the smoke was her fault.

Lagos To Deliver Agege-Pen Cinema Bridge By November

Lagos State Government has announced that Agege-Pen Cinema Bridge will be completed and delivered by November, 2020.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Works and Infrastructures, Engr. Aramide Adeyoye disclosed this while giving account of the Ministry’s activities in the last one year.
Adeyoye stated;

The construction of Pen Cinema flyover and access roads in Agege, currently at over 50% stage of work, is scheduled for completion in November 2020. After completion, the flyover is expected to resolve the constant traffic gridlock in Agege and its environs.

She stated that the administration plans to expand the Agege-Berger road to reduce travel time in the state.
Adeyoye noted that one of the major facilities that would accompany the expansion work is provision of a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) lane to transport several people coming into the state, that might have alighted at Berger Bus Stop.

Power distributors sue FG over business interference

According to the firms, the government, through the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission and other agencies, had been interfering in the corporate activities of the Discos, a development, they claimed, had hampered their smooth operations.

Abiodun eases lockdown in Ogun, declares weekends TOTAL LOCKDOWN henceforth

He declared the weekdays – Mondays to Fridays, free for movement and business activities between 6am and 8pm.

Saturdays and Sundays, according to him, would be observed as total lockdown.

The new eased lockdown, Abiodun added, takes effect from Monday, June 1st.

ICPC investigating cases of COVID-19 fraud

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) says it is investigating alleged cases of corruption in the management of Covid-19 funds and palliatives.

The commission’s Director of Operations, Mr Akeem Lawal, disclosed this during a virtual meeting of stakeholders on the topic, “Covid-19 Funds Management and Monitoring”, on Thursday.

In a presentation titled, “ICPC Monitoring Obligation and Strategy Re: Covid-19 Emergency”, Lawal said the cases include alleged fraud by some participating public institution in the release and distribution of grains from strategic food reserve.

Nigeria says it is yet to receive ventilators Trump promised

#jaiyeorie The Federal Government has said it was yet to receive the ventilators promised by U.S President, Donald Trump.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed assured Nigerians that once the government receives the promised equipment, it will be made public.

He said this Thursday while responding to a question on the issue during the Presidential Taskforce on covid-19 daily briefing.

The minister had earlier spoken about the efforts of the ministry to increase sensitization of the populace on the effect of the pandemic which has devastated the entire globe.

Operatives of the Inspector General Police (IG) Monitoring Unit have arrested Bobrisky.

Bob was arrested around Lekki by a team of policemen from Abuja over alleged money issues with another female.

Although details of the present case is still sketchy, it was gathered that the policemen who entered Bobrisky’s white Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) had made their mission known to the Lagos State Police Command before proceeding.

Lagos BRT announces increase in fares, blames covid-19

Primero Transport Services Ltd., operator of the Lagos Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) says it has secured approval to increase its fares across all routes with effect from Friday to keep serving the people.

NAN had earlier reported that the BRT operator had withdrawn its services since Monday over losses occasioned by Covid-19 new transport guidelines that mandated it to commute only 20 passengers per trip instead of 70.

NDDC shuts down headquarters as director dies

#jaiyeorie The Niger Delta Development Commission has shut down its headquarters in Port Harcourt after the reported death of its Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Chief Ibanga Etang.

Etang was said to have died in the early hours of Thursday as he reportedly took ill last week and was taken to the Rivers State University Teaching in Port Harcourt for treatment.

But efforts made by our correspondent to get the Corporate Affairs Department of the NDDC to confirm the sad incident were not successful.

However, in a memo signed by Silas Anyawu on behalf of the management of the NDDC effecting the shutting down of the office, he said, “I am directed to inform all staff that management has approved that the commission be shut down for two weeks from today 28 May 2020.

“Consequently, all activities in the commission including ongoing matters are hereby shut down for the time being.

Throughout the crisis, Premier League sides has kept in dialogue and at their most recent meeting on Thursday a consensus over the exact return date of top flight English football appears to have been reached.

As reported by the Telegraph, action will resume on 17 June with City vs Arsenal the headline act.

Villa will also take on Chris Wilder’s side in a game that could have significant implications at the bottom of the table.

The season should then be completed by 1 August with the FA Cup final scheduled to take place one week later. These dates line up with UEFA’s plans to have the Champions League sewn up by the start of September.
