Nigerian Man Shares Graphic Details Of His Unsuccessful Attempts At Raping Two Women On Separate Occassions

                  

A Nigerian man who joined the rape conversation triggered by the deaths Tina Ezekwe and Vera Omozuwa, ignited an outcry after sharing graphic details of how he raped two women.
According to Ogimex Aka Obonblingz, he used to rape women who refuse to have sex with him when he was much younger. He said he can candidly recall two instances where his victims gave him a tough time.


According to Ogimex, he had two unsuccessful attempts at raping women. One time, the woman was much more stronger than he was- perhaps because she was older than him. The second time at the verge of succeeding in his attempt, his victim began to lay bitter curses on  him. Ogimex shared in the Facebook post that he stopped raping after that experience and he as well made his victim rescind her curses against him.

NNPC launches App for COVID-19 contacts tracing, begins sale of products online

This followed NNPC’s Transparency, Accountability and Performance Excellence (TAPE) agenda and commitment to continuously deploy Information and Communications Technology (ICT) for operational efficiency and accountability in its system

While unveiling the software in Abuja, Group General Manager, Information Technology Division (ITD), Danladi Inuwa, noted that the development was part of NNPC’s contribution to curb the spread of the pandemic in its formations and government’s Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

Ronke Onadeko shared some personal truths about her life and journey to motherhood. Ms. Onadeko is the Principal Consultant of DRNL Consult Limited, UK, and Manager of Delt-R Company Limited.


The former Commissioner for Agriculture in Ogun State tells Alexander Okeke of PUNCH newspapers about her childhood, business career, and very unusual journey to motherhood.
She identifies herself as a woman who started out being career-centric and therefore not considering marriage early enough. When she did get married, it did not go as well but she really wanted kids. Years later and after turning 50, despite her career successes, Onadeko says having her three kids at over 50 is her greatest achievement.


Read excerpts below:
In 2015, you spoke about having your first child at 50. What were the trials you had to face and overcome from family and friends?

I was very career-focused, so I guess I didn’t get married early. My first marriage didn’t work. But I knew I really wanted children; I love kids.
But in-between all of these, I was very busy with work. I had tried so many things from food science to oil and gas, manufacturing and went back into oil and gas consulting.
So, time went by quickly. Everybody knew I wanted children and I was open to medical intervention.
The only thing I was not keen on was adoption because it didn’t appeal to me naturally.
I knew I was going to have children but I just didn’t know when.

Were you criticised for placing your career or business above family life when you didn’t have a child?

I’m a very tough person. So, I’m sure people didn’t want to (criticise me) because they didn’t want my trouble.
People were talking about it. I remember an event about ‘waiting on the Lord for the fruit of the womb’ that I attended.
Someone told me outright that I couldn’t want children because I wasn’t married.
In my mind, I said it is God that gives children and if God chooses to bless me with children, nobody can stop it.

How many kids do you have now?

To God be the glory, I had my first child at 50 and I had a set of twins (both girls) last year.
So, in two years, I had three children.

Why didn’t your previous marriage work?

I don’t know. Some things work and some things don’t work probably due to personality clashes on both sides.
Sometimes, it might just be the timing of the circumstances. Everybody wants to be in a marriage that works.
So when people’s marriages don’t work, it’s not good to start pointing a finger at who did what.
Both parties would have wanted the marriage to work but just didn’t have the ability to keep it together.

How did you meet your husband with whom you have your children?

We are not married and were in a partnership. There was a traditional family ceremony to formalised the relationship. He is the father of all the three children and supports his children.

But how did you meet him?

I think somebody had mentioned me to him in passing and he did some homework,
and somehow, we got introduced by another person. That was how our relationship started.

What are you grateful for about him?

He is a vehicle through which God blessed me with the three miraculous children. I know it was not by accident that God chose him to be the father of my children. 
I make sure our children are well cared for and he is especially happy about this. These children are our legacy.
I am dedicated to making sure our children are wholesome and God-fearing.    He attests to the fact that a lasting legacy through our children makes him happy.
It’s not something I wish to put in the public space.

As a busy person, what do you do when you are not working?

I do a lot of things. I am a very avid gardener. I am a very good cook when I choose to cook. I used to cycle long distances, but because of the kids, I can’t do that.
But I run an average of five to 10 kilometres daily. I also mentor a lot of young adults. I find time for a lot of things.
I am very involved in a lot of women organisations and empowerment. I love reading. But officially, I am taking the year off because I want to be with my kids.

At 53 and with three kids, do you still get advances from men?

I meet more people in the course of my professional life. I’m not very outgoing in the social scene. My family is very engaged, so most of my activities are family-based.
I meet a few people now and again. But right now, I don’t want anything to distract me from my children.
I even work from home. I avoid things that will take me outside my home. Lesotho’s ex-first lady back in custody over murder of rival

#jaiyeorie Lesotho’s former first lady, Maesaiah Thabane, returned to custody after a court revoked bail that she had been controversially given over the murder of her husband’s estranged wife.

The 43-year-old was charged with murder in February after police quizzed her on the brutal killing of former Prime Minister Thomas Thabane’s wife 2 days before his inauguration.

She spent one night in jail before a High Court freed her on a 1,000 maloti ($57) bail.

Seun Ajayi says celebrities may not take it seriously until they start losing endorsements (video)

Nollywood actor Seun Ajayi has spoken out against sexual harassment in the Nigerian movie industry. Ajayi took to his official Instagram page to share a video where he was seen speaking his mind.
From senior colleagues to younger ones, the film star confirmed that sexual harassment abounds in Nollywood. He revealed that it is not only upcoming actors who experience assault from producers.

Citing an example, the actor shared a personal experience he witnessed during a movie set. According to him, another actor was groping an actress on set, so much that everyone who saw him warned him against such actions.
Ajayi noted that the said actor did not listen even when the actress in question vehemently told him to stop. According to Ajayi, the actor was served papers from the lady’s lawyer.
Urging men to make the workplace environment safe for women, the father of one stated that it is very important to protect women against any kind of abuse.

US BANS Chinese airlines from operating flights to US

#jaiyeorie The United States announced Wednesday that Chinese airlines will be suspended from operating passenger flights to and from the US.

The move is reportedly a tit-for-tat retaliation for China’s inaction to approve American airlines from conducting passenger service to China amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

The US Department of Transportation said Chinese authorities have “failed to permit” US air carriers to operate routes previously flown.

“The Department will continue to engage our Chinese counterparts so both U.S. and Chinese carriers can fully exercise their bilateral rights,” the agency said in a statement. “In the meantime, we will allow Chinese carriers to operate the same number of scheduled passenger flights as the Chinese government allows ours.”

The 20-page report released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office came with the family’s permission and after the coroner’s office released summary findings Monday that Floyd had a heart attack while being restrained by officers, and classified his May 25 death as a homicide.

Pope Francis has called the death of George Floyd at the hands of US police officers "tragic" and said he is praying for him and "all those others who have lost their lives as a result of the sin of racism."

After an eighth night of protests across the United States, Francis addressed Floyd's death during his weekly Angelus prayer at the Vatican on Wednesday.

"Dear brothers and sisters in the United States, I have witnessed with great concern the disturbing social unrest in your nation in these past days, following the tragic death of Mr. George Floyd," Francis said.

"My friends, we cannot tolerate or turn a blind eye to racism and exclusion in any form and yet claim to defend the sacredness of every human life.

Lawan leads senators to Orji Kalu’s residence (photos)

Orji Uzor Kalu hosted to the Senate President of Nigeria, Ahmad Lawan, and other senators on Thursday.

The team of senators led by Ahmad Lawan visited Kalu, chief whip of the red chamber, a day after he was released from Kuje prison following his conviction by a Federal High Court in Lagos.

Kalu, former governor of Abia, was jailed alongside Ude Jones Udeogu, a former director of finance and account of Abia state.

They were arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on 36 counts of money laundering to the tune of N7.1 billion.

The Ondo governor, while reacting to a letter being circulated on social media and addressed to his wife over a planned legal action following the First Lady’s altercation with a social critic and political commentator, Jimmy Adekanle, said that his wife does not enjoy immunity, hence the lawyer should proceed with his client’s request.

I had to arrange a funeral - OAP Toolz reveals the pain she went through losing her baby

Toolz has opened up on how she felt when she lost her child.

The mother of one made the revelation on the latest episode of Life Lessons with Betty Irabor on Linda Ikeji TV.
She spoke about the disbelief and agony she endured as well as her journey to recovery.

Toolz said the hospital here in Nigeria missed a few things and didn’t pick up on the problem in time, so she eventually had to travel to the UK.
Upon getting to the Uk and taking a scan it showed that her baby was too small and may not survive.

“I never once thought that the health of my child would be an issue,” Toolz said.
“I heard a voice saying ‘this isn’t going to work out but you’re going to be OK’.”
“That was horrible, the day that I did the scan and there was just like nothing. When we did the last scan, there was nothing, like, no movement, nothing.”
“Oh my gosh, it was horrible, it was absolutely horrible,” she added.
