Seun Ajayi says celebrities may not take it seriously until they start losing endorsements (video)



Nollywood actor Seun Ajayi has spoken out against sexual harassment in the Nigerian movie industry. Ajayi took to his official Instagram page to share a video where he was seen speaking his mind.
From senior colleagues to younger ones, the film star confirmed that sexual harassment abounds in Nollywood. He revealed that it is not only upcoming actors who experience assault from producers.
Citing an example, the actor shared a personal experience he witnessed during a movie set. According to him, another actor was groping an actress on set, so much that everyone who saw him warned him against such actions.
Ajayi noted that the said actor did not listen even when the actress in question vehemently told him to stop. According to Ajayi, the actor was served papers from the lady’s lawyer.
Urging men to make the workplace environment safe for women, the father of one stated that it is very important to protect women against any kind of abuse.
Ajayi went on to reveal that until actors start losing their endorsement and arraigned in court, they will not take the issue of abuse seriously.
