A female pastor has described how she failed to show up at her own wedding because she was being gang-r*ped, and recalled how on the morning of her wedding day she was abducted by a group of men who brutally attacked her for six hours.

It was going to be a very big wedding. I was a pastor, so all our church members were coming, as well as all our relatives. My fiance, Harry, and I were very excited - we were getting married in All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi and I had rented a beautiful dress.

 

But the night before the wedding I realised that I had some of Harry's clothes, including his cravat. He couldn't show up without a tie, so a friend who had stayed the night offered to take it to him first thing in the morning. We got up at dawn and I walked her to the bus station.

 

As I was making my way back home, I walked past a guy sitting on the bonnet of a car - suddenly he grabbed me from behind and dumped me in the back seat. There were two more men inside, and they drove off. It all happened in a fraction of a second.

 

A piece of cloth was stuffed in my mouth. I was kicking and hitting out and trying to scream. When I managed to push the gag out, I screamed: "It's my wedding day!" That was when I got the first blow. One of the men told me to "co-operate or you will die".

 

The men took turns to r*pe me. I felt sure I was going to die, but I was still fighting for my life, so when one of the men took the gag out of my mouth I bit his manhood. He screamed in pain and one of them stabbed me in the stomach. Then they opened the door and threw me out of the moving car.

 

I was miles from home, outside Nairobi. More than six hours had passed since I had been abducted.

 

A child saw me being thrown out and called her grandmother. People came running. When the police came they tried to get a pulse, but no-one could. Thinking I was dead, they wrapped me in a blanket and started to take me to the mortuary. But on the way there, I choked on the blanket and coughed.

 

 

The policeman said: "She's alive?" And he turned the car around and drove me to the biggest government hospital in Kenya.

1st photos of Venus Williams' car crash that left elderly man dead

 The pictures of crash in which an elderly man died after the car he was travelling in hit by tennis star Venus Williams' have emerged for the first time.

 She was travelling in Palm Beach Gardens on June 9 and was forced to crawl through a junction at a slow pace when she got stuck at the intersection behind a line of traffic.

 A car travelling in the opposite direction then struck her vehicle, leaving passenger 78-year-old Jerome Barson with head injuries that resulted in his death two weeks later.

She had been driving on a green light and there was no evidence to suggest she was using her phone or was under the influence behind the wheel.His wife Linda Barson, who was driving the black Hyundai Accent SE they were in, survived the crash and received hospital treatment

 Venus has not been charged or cited with any offence and has since offered her condolences.

Rihanna Dragged To Court by wife of Ex bodyguard

Rihanna gets sued by the wife of her former Irish bodyguard for loss of earnings after the security man was fired.

 According to the Irish Mirror , Dana Kavanagh is taking her case for damages and loss of earnings to Dublin's High Court.

Her husband, 38-year-old Geoff Keating, is the multi-millionaire singer's former chief minder, who headed security for the chart-topper's Diamonds World Tour in 2013.

Mr Keating, a dad of four from Dublin, told the newspaper:

"You wouldn't believe half of it, unless I showed you. It's crazy stuff. She was like part of the family."

The case is up for mention in the High Court in Dublin on Monday, titled Kavanagh Vs Fenty, aka Rihanna Robyn Fenty - the singer's real name.

In papers lodged with the High Court for the previous case, Mr Keating had claimed he was defamed in a series of allegedly false statements contained in an email sent to him and his wife by the 29-year-old star in July 2013.

He said the allegations had caused significant and substantial damage to his family life, reputation and business, causing him distress and anxiety.

It was claimed Mr Keating was working for Rihanna and had accompanied her on tour to Germany, but returned home after being unjustly dismissed.Shortly after his return, the singer allegedly sent the email to Mr Keating's wife and also got in contact with other relatives. , We Love to know U COMMENTS ................. ... spill TEA.... According to TMZ, the  parents run a company that owns they trademarks to their names and said company just filed legal documents to secure the rights to the names to be used for various merchandise like; baby teething rings, baby carriages, strollers, water bottles, hair ribbons, playing cards, tote bags…

The newborns were revealed to be named Rumi and Sir Carter, after their parents filed trademarks to protect the names.
 According to the birth certificate ,Rumi Carter is the big sis and Sir is the little bro.They were born on-- June 13 at 5:13 AM. Rumi came out first, and Sir followed shortly thereafter.
They also don't have middle names.
Sir is the name normally used as a title before a man’s first name.
 Rumi is a Japanese girls name, it’s the last name of the famed 13th century Persian poet Jelaluddin Rumi. The Carter empire keeps expanding!

ECOWAS Should Have Common Currency To Boost Trade – Obasanjo

Olusegun Obasanjo has urged on the leaders of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to agree on common currency to boost the regional trade.
Obasanjo commented at the ongoing 24th Annual General Meeting of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) in Kigali speaking on: ‘Can Regional Economic Communities Work for Africa: Lessons from a Founding Father.’
He stated that the issue of common currency was getting delayed because the regional leaders had put forward “ECO” as a name for the currency but wondered why it had not been adopted saying that the currency is required to move the current level of the regional trade from 25 per cent to more than 50 per cent.

Nigeria Is Hosting 2017 West African College Of Nursing Conference

The Federal Government of Nigeria has concluded plans to host the 2017 West African College of Nursing (WACN) 14th Biennial General Meeting (BGM), 23rd Scientific Session and 37th Council Meeting scheduled to take place in Abuja from 1st to 8th July, 2017 with the theme: ‘Emerging Health Emergencies: Community and Health Workforce Response in the Sub-region.

This was announced by the Hon. Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole in Abuja on Thursday.
Giving a brief background of the WACN, the Minister said that the college is an agency of the West African Health Organization with headquarters in Burkina Faso.
He explained that the College was officially inaugurated in Banjul, the Gambia in April 1981 with the aim to promote excellence in nursing education and maintain the standard of nursing within the Sub-region, contribute to the improvement of health care within the West African Sub-region as well as promote and encourage research in the field of nursing.
