Nelly 'Mutually Settles' With Rape Accuser Monique Greene.

 TMZ reported on Thursday that a lawyer for the singer confirmed both parties agreed to dismiss their cases against each other, and no money changed hands between either party.

Nelly, 43 (real name Cornell Iral Haynes Jr), has stated from the beginning that the accusations against him were not true.


The alleged incident happened in the early morning hours on October 7, 2017, on the rapper's tour bus, which was parked in a Wal-mart parking lot in Washington.

Nelly had performed with Florida Georgia Line on the previous night, and Greene alleged the rape took place around 3:48 AM.

Greene then filed a police report, and the Hot In Here rapper was arrested at around 7am, and released shortly thereafter.

Shortly after the arrest, Nelly's lawyer said in a statement that the rapper was 'prepared to pursue all all legal avenues.'

The tech giant is celebrating its 20th birthday with a new Google Doodle marking the special occasion. Founded 20 years ago, the company is marking the occasion with a Google Doodle around the world.

This year’s doodle features letter-shaped balloons attached to a gift box. Tapping plays a YouTube video that animates popular searches from around the globe over the past two decades.

Google was founded by Sergey Brin and Larry Page. In 1996, the two struck a partnership, and built a search engine that used links to determine the importance of individual pages on the World Wide Web. However, Google Inc was officially born in 1998, after Brin and Page received a check for $100,000 from Andy Bechtolsheim.

Son Of Ex-Angolan President Detained In Graft Probe

The son of Angola’s ex-president has been detained in connection with an investigation into corruption and other crimes the official ANGOP news agency reports.

José Filomeno dos Santos is the highest profile figure to be held in custody since President Joao Lourenco succeeded former leader Jose Eduardo dos Santos a year ago vowing to tackle widespread corruption.

ANGOP said he had been arrested for “being part of a criminal association, irregular acceptance of advantages, fraud, embezzlement and corruption, among others.”

Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun state governorship elction Senator Ademola Adeleke, has written the European Union and the United States over an alleged threat to his life.

Naomi Campbell was “disappointed” by Cardi B and Nicki Minaj’s fashion week fight.
They  both attended the Harper’s Bazaar Icons bash at New York Fashion Week earlier this month, with Cardi even throwing her shoe at Nicki, and now the supermodel has expressed her disappointment to see women fighting.

Bonang Matheba Hires New Team Amid R10m Tax Fraud Lawsuit

Bonang Matheba has hired a new audit team to work with Sars in an attempt to sort out her issues with the taxman, her management have revealed to TshisaLIVE.
She was summonsed to appear in Johannesburg Specialised Commercialised Crimes Court on Thursday over tax fraud allegations but failed to show up because she was in New York where she led a discussion at the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday. She was set to answer questions over both her personal and business tax returns.
National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane confirmed to TshisaLIVE that a warrant for the star’s arrest had been issued by Magistrate Benita Oswell but was not effective unless she failed to appear at her next court appearance in October.
Bonang’s management, Celebrity Services Africa (CSA) told TshisaLIVE that as much as they were surprised by the situation, she would comply with Sars and allow the law to take its course.
“The recent enquiry came as a surprise to Ms Matheba, nonetheless Ms Matheba has full respect and will comply with Sars, the South African legal system and processes,” her manager Davin Phillips said.

According to reports, the suspect, who pretended to be a mad man, was caught with a live snake, a car key, a pack of condoms, sweets, voters’ card, court affidavit and a wallet containing N3,500.
The man identified as Mustapha, was said to have been exposed by a woman, Mrs Obinna, who attended community secondary school with him, years back.

ASUU May Join NLC Strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities may join the Nigeria Labour Congress in the ongoing industrial action.
The Owerri Zonal Coordinator of ASUU, Prof Uzo Onyebinama, disclosed this at a press conference at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State.
While debunking that the strikes were not sponsored by the opposition parties, Onyebinama said the reason of ASUU strike was as a result of the Federal Government’s inability to fulfill the 2009 agreement with the union on the welfare of its members.
His statement , “You will recall that the 2009 FGN —ASUU Agreement made provision for the re-negotiation of the Agreement every three (3) years.

It is curious to know that you were the first person to stand more or less against the current Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode. You stood against him in many respects. Why was this so? Was it that the two of you had certain connections not known to the public or could it be a case of animosity towards him? However, it would seem that some of what you feared would happen are beginning to unfold, what exactly did you see that made you uncomfortable with his choice?
In the first instance, I regard what we are experiencing in the state right now as a divine intervention in the interest of the state as a whole and that of politicians as well. Like you rightly said, I saw this right from inception but I was the lone voice that shouted several times but the party people never saw it. Rather, most of them castigated and harassed me and kept intimidating me, even victimised me. But of course, I was unrelenting, undaunted and resolute.
Now, God has suddenly opened their eyes to the reality and all of them have now taken the gauntlet and shouting ‘we’re fed up with the governor; we don’t want him again’. In the first instance, he has never been part of the political movement of this state or part of the governance system; he was at best an Accountant General.

Speaking in a recent interview with ESPN, the 33-year-old admitted that his new club have ‘a long way to go’ before they can challenge NBA holders Golden State Warriors.

‘We got a long way to go to get to Golden State. They can pick up right where they left off, starting with training camp. … We are picking up from scratch, so we got a long way to go.
‘We can’t worry about what Golden State is doing. … They’ve been together for a few years now.
‘We are all new to each other; we have to take our bumps and our bruises. There are going to be good times and bad times.

‘If we continue to work the process and continue to sacrifice for one another and put in the commitment and time to being great, everything else will fall into place.’

Michael Kors Buys Versace For $2.1bn, Renames It Capri Holdings

According to BBC, creative director, Donatella Versace, who ran Versace since the 1997 murder of her brother Gianni, called the sale a “very exciting moment” and “allow Versace to reach its full potential”.
In a statement by Michael Kors chief executive, John Idol, he said Donatella will continue to lead Versace’s “creative vision,” meaning  she will stay on to oversee the label.
Donatella, her brother Santo and daughter Allegra will also stay on as shareholders in the company. Versace’s management team will continue to be led by its CEO, Jonathan Akeroyd.
Mr. Idol said Versace represented the “epitome of Italian fashion luxury” and its acquisition was an important milestone for the company, which is being renamed Capri Holdings.
“We are all very excited to join a group led by [Michael Kors CEO] John Idol, whom I have always admired as a visionary as well as a strong and passionate leader. We believe that being part of this group is essential to Versace’s long-term success,” Donatella said, as part of the company statement on Tuesday.
The new owner plans to increase the number of Versace outlets from 200 to 300 stores.
He also plans to grow Versace to $2 billion in revenue globally and increase its retail footprint from roughly 200 to 300 stores.
