Moment concert goers were beaten up by security and people were allegedly tasered at the NativeLand concert in Lagos last night.

Nigerians who attended #nativeland19 at Muri Okunola Park in VI have taken to Twitter to complain about all the things that went wrong. . . Concert goers were flogged by security personnel, the stage collapsed, there was stampede, and people were injured and some allegedly ended up in hospital. . . Some Twitter users complained that the gates were locked and those inside who had curfew couldn't leave to go home. . . FIRS begins massive crackdown on tax defaulters

Nigeria’s Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) is set to begin massive crackdown on tax defaulters nationwide on Wednesday.

Wahab Gbadamosi, FIRS spokesman said the body had served a seven-day notice to tax defaulters, with a warning that it would soon begin a nationwide tax enforcement to bring tax defaulters to book.

The Acting Executive Chairman of FIRS, Abiodun Aina in a notification to taxpayers on Tuesday informed them of the plan by the Service to begin tax enforcement against such defaulters should they continue to fail in fulfilling their tax obligations.

House of Representatives Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila has declared vacant the seat of Magama/Rijau Federal Constituency in Niger State.

The member representing the constituency, Illiyasu, died on December 2, 2019, and his demise was announced on the floor of the House on December 3 during plenary.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday administered oaths of office on nine federal permanent secretaries at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the permanent secretaries were sworn-in in two batches of five and four before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

The nine permanent secretaries are: Musa Hassan from Borno State, Ahmed Aliyu (Niger State), Olushola Idowu (Ogun), Andrew Adejoh (North – Central Zone) and Umar Tijjani, North – East Zone.

Buhari sacks Odubu-led NNDC Board

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the recomposition of the Dr. Pius Odubu-led Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

The President also validated the existence of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the commission led by Dr Joi Nunieh.

The new twist at the NDDC was contained in a statement on Thursday morning by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Mr. Femi Adesina.

According to the statement, the supervisory power over the commission would continue rest with the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs.

Man who 'helped Tupac fake his death' faked his own to prove rapper never died

A man who claimed he helped Tupac fake his death has come back from the grave to reveal he faked his own - and says that proves the rapper is still alive too.

In December last year, it was reported that Michael Nice had died just days before he was due to release evidence that proved Tupac is still alive.

Michael, who was Tupac's former bodyguard, made headlines when he claimed Tupac had been smuggled into Cuba with the help of former President Fidel Castro after the drive by shooting that police said claimed his life.

Now, Michael has revealed that he faked his own death.


In a video posted to YouTube, he says that he did what he did to evade his enemies.
