NEMA donates relief materials to displaced persons in Bwari,FCT

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) donated on Sunday auxiliary materials to internally displaced persons affected by a recent communal conflict in Bwari, FCT. Mr. Bitrus Samuel, Chief of the Abuja Area NEMA, led by other executive members of the organization, presented materials for 400 people affected by the conflict. The donations were 50 gallons of 10 liters of palm oil, 50 gallons of 20 liters of peanut butter and 500 pieces of mosquito nets. The others were 15 pieces of Lux soap, 500 nylon carpets, 15 salt bags, 10 pieces of milk, 15 sachets of sugar, 10 pieces of Milk and 500 pieces of blanket. The donations were also 100 bags of 50 kg rice, 50 bags of 100 kg sausages, 15 bags of Omo detergent and 50 bags of 100 kg of corn.
According to Samuel, the donation is based on the unfortunate incidence that occurred on Christmas day to enable affected persons recover from the situation.
Samuel said: “We understand some displaced persons had taken refuge at the Army barracks for fear of a renewed attack. This is why we did this to support the council.
“This is not compensation; it is just to provide succour in line with what the council authority had already done, to help relieve the displaced persons of psychological trauma.
“This is strictly for those people who were displaced as a result of the communal clash.
“An impact assessment is ongoing to ascertain the level where we will do a detailed assessment, in order to provide relief for the traders whose shops were affected.”
The Chairman of Bwari Area Council, Mr Musa Dikko, thanked the agency for the donation, which he described as apt for the displaced persons.
Dikko promised to leave no stone unturned to ensure equitable distribution of the relief items only to persons that were earlier registered at the Army camp.
He said that there were no more displaced persons camp anywhere in the area, because effort had been made to return them home and normalcy gradually restored in the community.
“We want to thank you for coming even before you got our call, this shows that positive change is in place.
“We want to assure you God will reward you for this love you have shown us since the day of this ugly incidence.
“We also want to assure of our cooperation, we will duly deliver the items specifically to only those that were affected,” he said.
He revealed the plans to attend to traders whose shops were also affected through establishment of a committee to improve on this gesture and give them relief items.
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Antonia Chinelo, commended the agency for the gesture, saying that the relief items will help her family begin a new lease of life.
“I sincerely thank NEMA and the Bwari area council for the provision of these items, which for us is a show of love,” she said.#Africa ... spill TEA.... Easy on Shade #jaiyeorie

South Korea Seizes Hong Kong Ship For Oil Transfer To North Korea

South Korea briefly seized and inspected the ship in Hong Kong in November for transferring oil derivatives to a ship from North Korea and violations of UN sanctions, the official Foreign Minister said on Friday. Winmore Lighthouse, leased by a Taiwanese company and carrying about 600 tonnes of refined petroleum products from the Port of Yeosu to South Korea on October 19, transferred a part of its cargo to the North Korean boat, a spokeswoman said. The South Korean customs authorities briefly seized and inspected the ship when it returned to Yeos Port on November 24, he added. A ship chartered by Taiwanese Billions Bunker Group Corp on October 11 visited Yeosua in order to burden Japanese refined oil before moving to its destination in Taiwan. Instead of leaving Taiwan, the ship has, however, handed oil to North Sam Jong 2, as well as three other non-North Korean vessels in international waters, the official said.
“This marks a typical case of North Korea shrewdly circumventing UN Security Council sanctions by using its illegal networks,” the official told journalists.
“The actions taken will be reported to the UN Security Council sanctions committee on North Korea in the future,” he said.
South Korea has shared intelligence with the US about the detection of the illegal transaction, he added.
Taipei said the Billions Bunker Group is not incorporated in Taiwan but in the Marshall Islands, and that it would “continue to fully comply” with UN sanctions against North Korea.
Taiwan’s transport ministry said it is investigating whether any Taiwanese entities were involved.
The Lighthouse Winmore came to Taiwan twice this year to “load supplies”, the ministry added, but gave no further details.
The ship is owned by a Hong Kong-registered company called Win More Shipping Limited. There was nobody Friday at the address given for the firm on Hong Kong’s companies registry.
The Sam Jong 2 was one of four North Korean ships that was blocked from international ports by the UN Security Council on Thursday over suspicions of carrying or transporting goods banned by sanctions targeting Pyongyang’s weapons ambitions, diplomats told AFP.
The Security Council has imposed three sets of sanctions on North Korea this year: one on August 5 targeting the iron, coal and fishing industries, another set on September 11 aimed at textiles and limiting oil supply, and the most recent on December 22 focused on refined petroleum products.

We’ve Tamed The Monster Of Fuel Scarcity, NNPC Boss Boasts

“Unfortunately, that rumour instigated a lot of marketers to be very greedy and they decided that their fellow citizens should not enjoy the Christmas holiday and New Year with ease and decided to profiteer, starting by hoarding and diversion of products.
“At the beginning, I did address the press, telling the world that we have sufficient products that will last us 30 days through the New Year into January; but because the marketers wanted to inflict harm and pains on fellow citizens, they decided to hoard products, divert them and in some cases, even smuggled products out of the country.”
“This has been tamed by the actions we took and I personally led the war around Abuja and other teams led the war in Lagos and other parts of the country.
“As of this (Friday) morning, I have gone round the Abuja metropolis and I have seen that the queues have reduced significantly to almost normal level and few motorists that I heard speaking on morning programmes concerning what I have seen said they have not spent up to 30 minutes to fuel their car.
“So, the monster has been tamed in Lagos, the situation has been brought into normalcy as far as two days ago and we are also achieving the same thing in all other cities.”
Baru reassured Nigerians that the country has sufficient products that will last for the next 30 days, adding that the government keeps bringing in 50 per cent above Nigerians’ normal consumption into the country.

2018: Archbishop Adewale Martins Urges Govts To Prioritise Welfare Of Nigerians

Catholic Archbishop of Lagos, Most Rev. Dr. Alfred Adewale Martins, urged the federal and state government to prioritize the welfare of every Nigerian citizen in 2018. Martins appealed in his new year, published on Friday.
“The low quality of lives that characterised most of the year 2017 led to untold hardships and alarming illegal migration of able-bodied Nigerians to Libya and European countries.
“The Federal and State governments should wake up to the reality that the electorate – the citizens of this country to whom they campaigned and who voted them into power – deserve better quality of lives in the year 2018 and beyond,” he said.
Martins also urged political leaders to make concerted effort to restructure the country towards the path of true federalism.
“As Nigerians, we have every cause to thank God for seeing us through the difficult year 2017.
“We went through very challenging situations both economically and politically, yet it has pleased the Almighty God to continue to keep us as one and indivisible entity.
“But we must tell ourselves the gospel truth; the year 2017 was not a very happy one for most Nigerians.
“Many state governments failed in their responsibilities to their citizens; workers salaries were not paid; unemployment and insecurity were at an all-time high.
“The Federal Government too did not perform better. It is yet to deliver on many of its electoral promises, including restructuring of the country.
“In this New Year, leadership at all levels should wake up and be alive to their responsibilities,” he said.
Martins also urged the electorate to be more discerning.
The Archbishop scored the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, and its subsidiaries low for failing to provide adequate petroleum products during the festive period.
He said this added to the sufferings of the already impoverished citizens of the country.
The cleric urged the Federal Government to approach the problem confronting the petroleum sector holistically by considering building of new refineries.
He said this was better than constantly importing refined products, even though the country is a major producer of oil.
“So much money has been put into Turn-Around-Maintenance (TAM) over the years without anything to show for it.
“Licences have been given to private entrepreneurs over the years but we have not seen that making any impact on the lives of Nigerians.
“Government needs to ensure that the bottle-necks to the success of those initiatives are removed and if there are people not making it work, government should have the moral courage to remove them also,” he said.
The cleric urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayers for the continuous peace and unity of the country.
He called on the political class to exhibit more transparency, accountability, and selflessness in the New Year.
Martins said that the present hardship being experienced across the country makes it incumbent on them to re-appraise the huge cost of governance at all levels and make the necessary adjustments for the good of all.#Africa ... spill TEA.... Easy on Shade #jaiyeorie

Man City Captain Vincent Kompany Graduates With Msc Degree

“I’ve always felt education is very important and this was instilled into me by my late mother from an early age,” Kompany said. “It felt like a fitting tribute to my mother to pursue my academic career by studying an MBA.
“When you’re playing football at the top levels, even managing your personal finances starts to become like running a business. It was important to me that I understood what my accountant was talking about and that I could confidently assess a business plan to take ownership of this area of my life.”
He added: “I’m an entrepreneur at the core so have a natural interest in business. The MBA was about backing this up with academic learning and research.
“Football is more than a sport. It impacts social issues and is big business. I was able to focus my research on the football industry and how clubs can benefit from home advantage. Part of this involved interviewing 25 footballers who have played at the top levels of international football.
“I feel I have crossed the finishing line of the course much better than when I started and although I want to continue playing football as long as possible, I may look to use this combination of academic learning and years of playing experience in the future.”#Africa ... spill TEA.... Expect major improvement in power, rail, road - Presidency to Nigerians

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, said this in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja.

“President Buhari’s investment in infrastructure will see major facelifts across the country in power, rail and roads, which have been scheduled to come on stream in 2018,” Adesina said.

Adesina said it was appropriate to, at the twilight of 2017 and at the threshold of a New Year, recount some key achievements of the administration in the outgoing year.

He said despite global economic challenges and initial outlook of slow, or unlikely, recovery, the Nigerian economy trumped predictions and witnessed some remarkable changes in 2017.

“In our review of the economy based on facts and figures from the National Bureau of Statistics, we are pleased to note that the economy has been on the path of steady growth since the second quarter, after contracting for five consecutive quarters.

“President Muhammadu Buhari is hopeful that the exit from recession, stabilisation of the naira and robust harvest in the agricultural sector will continue to impact on the livelihood of Nigerians,” he said.

Adesina noted that multilateral institutions like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund have already projected higher growth for the economy in 2018.

He said the government was hopeful that the gains of 2017 in agriculture would be further improved.

He added, “The agricultural sector posted consistent growth levels throughout the recession, leading other sectors into positive growth rates.

“Accordingly, Nigeria saw bumper food harvests, especially in rice, whose local production continues to rise significantly with states like Ebonyi, Kebbi and Kano leading the pack, while Ogun joined the loop by the end of 2017.

“The price of a 50kg bag of rice – a staple in our country – has fallen by about 30 per cent since the beginning of 2017, as local production continues to rise. The price will keep falling, as production remains consistent and rises.

“The Food and Agriculture Organisation said the number of Nigerians facing food insecurity in the northeast dropped by half this year.”

How The Fuel Scarcity Revealed How Terrible Buhari's Administration Is - Reno Omokri

From Reno's desk;
On Friday, December 22, 2017, the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Maikanti Baru, said the landing cost for petrol is ?171.40 per litre. He further added that the government was bearing an extra cost of about ?26.40 per liter for the product so that Nigerians could purchase the product at the government approved and regulated price of ?145 per liter.

For those who do not know the import of Baru’s statement, it means that the Buhari government has been subsidizing the cost of petrol.

The problem is that during the campaign, then candidate Buhari said he did not know what subsidy is and accused the Jonathan administration of scamming Nigerians through the subsidy scheme. Again, on December 28, 2015, President Buhari said he was ending subsidy. On May 12, 2016 the minister of state for petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu said subsidy had been removed. The price of petrol was increased on that basis to ?145. Finally, on December 15, 2016, Vice President Osinbajo said there was no more fuel subsidy in Nigeria

The question is that, given the revelation by Baru, Nigerians now need to know who is lying amongst President Buhari, Vice President Osinbajo, minister Kachikwu and GMD Baru?

This question is even more poignant when you consider that there is no budgetary provision in both the 2016 and 2017 budgets for subsidy payments. Ditto for the 2018 budget, which is yet to be passed but is not yet to be padded!

In other words, if the so called anti-corruption administration of President Buhari has been paying subsidy, that fact alone is an act of corruption. Specifically, spending monies that are accruable to the federation without any legislative appropriation, is a crime of misappropriation.

And then a few days after Baru’s Freudian slip, the Vice President had a snafu when he said that it was the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and not the Federal Government that was paying subsidy.

That Vice President Osinbajo could even say it is NNPC and not Federal Government that pays subsidy is an insult to the intelligence of Nigerians. Does he think us so vapid and dense that we cannot see through this subterfuge?

What is NNPC? Is it not an agency belonging to the Federal Government? Who is the minister in charge of the NNPC? Is it not the President? Who is the chairman of the NNPC board? Is it not the minister of state for petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu, a member of the federal cabinet? The Vice President ought to remember he is a pastor.

The truth is that for years, the Buhari administration has been lying to the Nigerian people and that lie came to light this Yuletide season when the Buhari government simultaneously ran out of funds and lies and could not borrow enough to hide the fact that it has been paying subsidy at a rate higher than the preceding government which it criticized.

Do not forget that in a rare moment of honesty on July 12, 2017, the minister of finance, Kemi Adeosun, admitted that (and I quote her) “We cannot borrow anymore, we just have to generate funds domestically to fund our budget. Mobilise revenue to fund the necessary budget increase.

The truth is that this government has financially near bankrupted Nigeria to the extent that something like one quarter of our budget is going to servicing debt and despite what the propagandist in government say, they will have no alternative but to increase the price of petrol from ?145 to at least is ?171.40 per liter (the landing cost) but more realistically to ?190/200 per liter if they are to make a profit.

And to show how uncoordinated and shambolic this administration is, the President’s main spokesman, Femi Adesina was on TV saying that this administration will ensure that Nigeria stops importing fuel by 2019.

The Buhari administration has not built a single refinery. They have not repaired the old ones. If you believe Femi Adesina, then ask Buhari if he has made Naira equal to Dollar as he promised during the campaigns.

But of course, if his boss does not even know his real age, how can we expect his spokesman to know that to stop importing fuel you have to increase refining capacity locally?

President Buhari stunned the nation when he said “I thought I was 74 but I was told I was 75”.

My question to my readers is this: How can a President with ‘football age’ achieve his goals in government? If he can’t remember his age, how can he remember his campaign promises? No wonder he has been denying his promises left right and center.

And the man can’t help himself. He just goes from one snafu to the other. The other day he said he will never please his children at the detriment of Nigerians. Really? Can he recall that he instructed the Central Bank of Nigeria not to give forex to Nigerians for the school fees of their children abroad in 2015?

Speaking to Al-Jazeera on March 5, 2016 the President said “those who can afford foreign education for their children can go ahead but Nigeria cannot afford to allocate foreign exchange for those who decide to train their children outside the country. We can’t just afford it. That is the true situation we are in.”

Many parents pulled their wards from schools abroad, but Buhari’s kids remained schooling in the UK. How a man who claimed that he had to take a loan from Union Bank to buy his All Progressive Congress nomination form could suddenly afford to simultaneously train 3 children in the U.K. is a story for another day. And yet this major hypocrite had the gall to say that he would not please his children at the interest of Nigeria.

Here is a President that engages in blame games and a failure to lead and who suffers from a messiah complex that makes him think he is better, more honest and more effective than any other Nigerian even though the facts on the ground paint a completely different picture.

Facts are very stubborn things. Let us consider a few of them.

The Buhari administration says it cannot fund its own budget of ?8.6 trillion and therefore wants to go on another unprecedented borrowing spree to the tune of $5.5 billion. But I have some questions.

If the Nigerian Custom Service generated ?1 trillion as it claimed and the Nigerian Ports Authority made ?400 billion, while the Federal Inland Revenue Service received ?2.5 trillion in taxes and another ?800 billion in Value Added Taxes all in 2017, without even adding the $28 billion (?10 trillion) Nigeria made from the oil and gas sector this year, and the other billions made from lesser revenue generating agencies like SEC, JAMB, airports and stamp duties, how come we cannot fund the 2018 budget of only ?8.6 trillion?

Some may ask me, what about the other tiers of government? Don’t they get a share of this money?

The reality however is that the total amount generated from all the revenue generating agencies and from the oil and gas sector is over ?15 trillion.

Per the present allocation formula, the lion’s share of 52.68% is channelled to the Federal Government, while 26.70% go to the 36 states and 20.60% to the 776 local government areas.

In other words, the Federal Government’s share of 52.68% gives it a figure close to ?8 trillion. So why do they have to borrow $5.5 billion? The revenue from oil is pure rent because production costs have already been subtracted. Now if the President does not know his own age, how can he begin to ask the right questions of his dodgy Economic Management Team which includes a finance minister whose highest educational qualification is a degree from a London Polytechnic with a bad educational record and a post HND diploma?

But I have talked enough. ‘Tis a season to be jolly and I fear that what I have written above would rob Nigerians of their joy, but someone has to say the bitter truth.

But before I go, let me say that in a land suffering from a dearth of servant leaders, I believe Governor Ayo Fayose showed extraordinary servant leadership by releasing the fuel in the fuel dump of Ekiti State Government House to the public.

I urge President Muhammadu Buhari to follow this example. Any little that can help people celebrate this season will be appreciated.

How I Wooed My Wife - Olu Jacobs

Read excerpts from his interview with Sun Newspaper;

You have done over four decades as an actor. When you look back, what would you say are your happiest moments?

Looking around me and seeing that many people are there to come and enjoy themselves in an area that people thought would never be possible, because in the past, actors and actresses were looked down on. Now they are doing well and people are applauding. That is my joy. Like I say, I would rather one person praise my work than have 99 do the opposite. Even if I have my work praised by 99 people but one comes and says sorry, I don’t understand it, it ruins everything.  This is only the beginning. The schools are going back to play their traditional roles and acting and drama are all part of the curriculum; that was how we grew up.

You were in Oloibiri, a fantastic movie. Yes, it won awards but what do you think made the movie stand out?

Good work. You look at the lighting, it captures the mood and the sound was good. What more do you want? And the story is compelling. You are shocked and your thinking will never be the same again. The story was being told to people who knew about it and some who did not know about it, but the message was passed. The movie is like a reawakening, to make sure we don’t let this happen again.

Are any of your kids taking after you?

Well, it may not be in front of the camera, maybe behind the camera.

You are married to one of the prettiest and talented actresses in Nollywood. How did you meet Joke Silva? We learnt that you actually snatched her from a rival. What really happened?

(Laughter) That is very wrong. I was invited to come and do a play in Nigeria by the National Theatre. I was living in England at that time. I was to play lead in Wole Soyinka’s The Trials of Brother Jero.  We were having the production when the door opened and this lady walked in and said sorry, we are ready. When she walked in I said excuse me ladies and gentlemen, this is the lady I am going to marry. You know bodies can attract and bodies can repel. I saw her and I was attracted. I am not an impulsive person. I did not just say come. I had to struggle to get her. She was stunned even though she gave me up and down. (laughter).

Your union is a testament to how celebrities should handle their marriage. We have seen a lot of stories about breakups and it is saddening. Is it that actors and actresses can’t make good homes?

No, quite frankly, let me tell you what. I don’t encourage people to think that way. It is virtually in all professions, in all offices whereever you have women and men together. Even if you don’t hear it, we have a lot of divorces in all other sectors. For the fact that you don’t hear it in other sectors like banking or in the oil sector, as oily as it is, does not mean it is not happening. It is in all offices where we have men and women.

What is the secret to your successful marriage?

It is the grace of God. And you must learn to be patient and above all, learn to be friends. She is your friend, your lover; she is not your slave. You don’t do that to a woman. You don’t intimidate her. If she is your friend, you will be tender. When a friend is involved you are tender.

Sir, we also understand that you are a great cook. Can you tell us about that?

(Laughter) I try, when I cook they eat.

Was that one of the skills that made your wife fall for you…

(Laughter) In the house, when we were growing up, you know usually, the girls did all the work and the boys did not. So, my parents decided that what they would do was give us a competition. Let the boys cook for the boys and the girls cook for the girls. So, you have to eat what you cook and that was what did it. We all had to learn.

As a veteran, can you give us tips to success as an actor?

Repetition of an act makes its performance almost automatic. The more you do something the better it gets. Patience, you must have patience and believe in yourself. If you really need to ask questions, please go and ask. Don’t shy away, they won’t think you are stupid; they will help you.

Chrissy Teigen’s plane diverted after her brothers boarded flight on one pass

Two brothers embarked on a single-pass airliner may face criminal charges after the race from Los Angeles to Tokyo turns.  The flight of All Nippon Airways, model of Chrissy Teigen, lived tweeted, was routed four hours after taking off and returned to LAX after crew members discovered that a passenger boarded without the correct passage.  Sources of law enforcement told ABC that brothers, both US citizens, had tickets for Tokyo; one ticket was for ANA, the other was for United Airlines.  Both men, however, boarded the Teigen ANA flight. Authorities talked to them after they returned to LAX and released, according to ABC.

The brothers have not yet been charged, but the FBI has allegedly tried to file a criminal report. .  The aviation company may also be faced with monetary fines from the US Customs and Borderlands.  ANA apologized to customers on a flight in a statement Wednesday.  Those on the NH175 flight handed over 30,000 Japanese yen after the final landing in Japan, a spokeswoman for the aviation company said.  30,000 converted to US dollars is about $ 265 - probably not enough to cover their flights. An ANA flight headquarters from LAX in Tokyo lasts between $ 500 to $ 600 for round trips, according to Google flights.

Teigen spent the eight-hour “flight to nowhere” tweeting the ordeal.

“Like we were all just havin a great time up here flyin in the sky watching gran torino time to go home now,” she wrote.

“Why did we all get punished for this one person’s mistake? Why not just land in Tokyo and send the other person back? How is this the better idea, you ask? We all have the same questions.”#Africa ... spill TEA.... Easy on Shade #jaiyeorie

Syndicate forges Cardinal Onaiyekan’s signature to obtain pilgrims’ visas

Lagos police have arrested 5 trade union members allegedly specializing in counterfeiting visa documents.  The arrested suspects were identified as Ikenna Aningwu, 28; Ebere Okere, 36; Toyin Dada, 36; Naboth Iyke, 35; and Yomi Alalade, 39.  The suspects and others in large quantities allegedly forged documents with the signature of Cardinal John Onaiyekan from the Catholic Archdiocese, Catholic Church of St. Jakova, Abuja.  The Cardinal was a former president of the Christian Association of Nigeria.  PUNCH Metro learned that the documents were presented to the Consulate General of the Italian Embassy in Victoria Island to secure six visas for the purpose of Christian pilgrims to Rome.  The police have revealed to our correspondent that the Embassy has doubts about the documents and contacted the cardinals to confirm the signature, which proved to be counterfeit.

The source said,
“Sometime in November 2017, Aningwu and five other suspects at large conspired with Okere, Dada, Iyke and Alalade to forge documents for visas. Aningwu and the five others wanted to go for pilgrimage in Rome.
“In a desperate attempt to get the approval of the Italian Embassy on Victoria Island, Lagos, Iyke and others, who are at large, forged the signature of the cardinal in the documents and presented same to the embassy.
“In the course of verification, the embassy contacted the cardinal, who said he had never had any encounter with any of the suspects before and denied the signature as his.”

It was learnt from another source that a petition was addressed to the Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan, Lagos, in respect of the alleged fraud.

“The embassy pretentiously called the suspects that the visas were ready and they should come to pick them up. Aningwu was arrested when he went to pick one of the visas. Other members fled having got wind of his arrest. He led operatives to locations where four of the accomplices were arrested,” the source added.

The suspects were on Thursday arraigned in Igbosere Magistrate’s Court on three counts bordering on forgery and fraud.

The defendants, who were brought before Chief Magistrate A.F.O. Botoku, pleaded not guilty to the charges and elected summary trial.

The magistrate granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 each with two sureties each in like sum and adjourned the case till January 17, 2018.#Africa ... spill TEA.... Easy on Shade #jaiyeorie

I Don't Care If People Think She's Older Or Richer - Singer, Iceberg Slim Speaks on Actress Juliet Ibrahim

In an interview with PUNCH, Iceberg said the opinion of other people on their relationship does not faze them.

He said; “We are actually the same age and she is not taller than me, except when she wears shoes with high heels. I don’t care if people think she is older than me or she has more money.

"A relationship is shared between the two people involved in it so if anybody has anything to say about our relationship, they should feel free, but it does not faze us. I mean, even Jesus Christ was criticised, so who are we? Anybody can say anything about us because, at the end of the day, everybody has freedom of speech. Whatever they say does not faze us because we know what we saw in each other.”

On how they met and started a relationship, Iceberg Slim said; “I met Juliet Ibrahim in Durban, South Africa about a year and a half ago. We exchanged contacts and became friends. Our friendship later grew into an amorous affair and at the end of the day, we just became a happy couple.

"The fact that we did not make our relationship a secret by posting our loved-up pictures online is because we are being ourselves. We chose not to follow the African mentality that you must keep your relationship secret because of the society or media.

We are enjoying ourselves and getting to know each other as a couple. There is no reason why I should hide her; she is celebrating me because I love her and I am doing the same as well. This is not something we should hide.”
