Wendy gave reasons for her stance, stating that there’s nothing else Cynthia will bring to the show as no one wants to see her fighting or divorced.

Cynthia Bailey replied that if anyone should stay fired, it should be OG, Nene Leakes who has been let off the TV series. She also added that her former bestie is the one person she wouldn’t want to ever come back to the show in case Bravo executives were considering re-hiring down former cast mates.

The Eastern Security Network, ESN, a security wing of the Southeast Secessionist group, Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has allegedly killed their native doctor, Paschal Okeke from Umudim-Ukwu Orji, Awomama in Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State over failure of charm he prepared to protect them against police bullet.

Colombia’s President, Duque escapes death as his helicopter is attacked midair

A helicopter carrying Colombia’s President Ivan Duque and others was struck by multiple bullets in an attack on Friday, he said in a video message.

The incident took place while the president’s helicopter was flying through Colombia’s Catatumbo region toward the city of Cucuta, capital of the country’s Norte de Santander province, Duque said.

“What’s clear is that this is a cowardly attack where bullet holes can be seen in the presidential aircraft,” Duque said

The Supreme Court panel in Manhattan has suspended the license of Rudy Giuliani, former United States’ President, Donald Trump’s lawyer over false claims he made during the 2020 general elections.

According to New York Daily News, Guiliani’s licence to practise law in New York was revoked on Thursday, with a panel of judges ruling that the former mayor has violated his legal oath by peddling “demonstrably false” claims about the 2020 election on behalf of his client, Trump.

The five-judge Manhattan Supreme Court panel concluded in a blistering 33-page ruling that Giuliani’s continued perpetuation of the thoroughly debunked claim that the election was stolen from Trump “threatens the public interest and erodes faith in American democracy”.

President Buhari has fulfilled the promise made by the Federal Government by approving the allocation of three-bedroom houses to the 1994 Super Eagles squad that won the African Cup of Nations in Tunisia.

Notable among these players are former Eagles captain Austin Jay Jay Okocha, Daniel Amokachi and Sunday Oliseh.

This was disclosed by Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the President, Malam Garba Shehu, in Abuja on Thursday.
Shehu stated that the approval followed a memo to the president by Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde-Raji Fashola.
He said the president, therefore, approved the allocations in their states of preference, noting that six players and three technical crew members had received their houses already.
The names of the players are as follows: Peter Rufai, Alloy Agu, Ike Shorounmu, Uche Okechukwu, Samson Siasia, Efan Ekoku, Benedict Iroha, Isaac Semitoje, Mutiu Adepoju, Emmanuel Amunike, Victor Ikpeba, Austin Eguavoen and Wilfred Agbonavbare (Deceased).
Others include; Uche Okafor (Deceased), Thompson Oliha (Deceased), Stephen Keshi (Deceased), Christian Chukwu, Dr Akin Amao, Stephen Edema, Col. A Asielue and B. Aromasodun.

 Tina Lawson knows how to spill tiny tidbits of secrets about her famous children, Beyonce and Solange and we’re loving this interesting one.

In celebrating the 18th anniversary of Beyonce’s 2003 album, ‘ Dangerously in Love,’ Mama Knowles shared some behind the scenes gist.

She revealed that the top her daughter wore on the album cover was pants previously worn by Cher on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine.

 Lawson revealed that she reached out to the talented jewelry designer, Jose Barrera who made the pants for Cher and asked that it be made into a top for Beyonce and the rest is history.

The mother of two further stated that Beyonce had a vision for the album cover and wanted to pair the jeweled top with baggy jeans.

Thankfully, photographer, Markus Klinkowski was kind enough to take off his pants and that sealed the look. The look went on to win best album cover.

Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, fulfilled government’s pledge of a house gift to Chioma Ajunwa-Oparah, 25 years after winning Gold medal for Nigeria at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics

Ajunwa-Oparah, the first African woman to win a gold medal in the Olympic Games field event, was gifted with a 3 bedroom apartment in the Babatunde Raji Fashola Housing Estate, Iponri.

Ajunwa-Oparah is now an Assistant Commissioner of Police in Lagos Police Command.

Sanwo-Olu made the presentation at a reception held for Lagos State’s athletes who participated in the recently concluded National Sports Festival in Edo State.

Lagos State won 125 medals, including 32 gold and 27 silver medals. in the contest.

Ajunwa-Oparah, a long jump athlete, put Nigeria on the global radar after she won a gold medal in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.

She was promised a house by the then military government but the pledge was not fulfilled before the country returned to democracy in 1999.

Chukwuemeka Onyegbula, an IT staff of Pan Ocean Oil Corporation Nigeria Limited, has been indicted in the U.S. State of Washington for wire fraud and identity theft.

Onyegbula, who was arrested on 5 June in Lagos, is awaiting extradition to the United States to face trial.

Authorities said he and his co-conspirators filed false claims for pandemic-related unemployment benefits in 17 states.

Illegal connection: Edo man Onyeka Augustin electrocuted

A 42-year-old man, Onyeka Augustin, has reportedly died of electrocution, while allegedly trying to illegally connect electric wire that was initially disconnected by operatives of BEDC Electricity Plc.

According to a statement by the Edo State Police Command’s spokesman, SP Kontongs Bello, the incident occurred on Friday, at No 6, Akugbe Street, off 1st Upstairs Road Benin City, at about 5.10pm.

The statement had it that the electricity wire was disconnected at Eguavoen Street, off 1st Upstairs Road, Ikpoba Hill, in Benin.

“On receipt of the information, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Ikpoba Hill Division, CSP Moses Olanrewaju, immediately swung into action and drafted operatives to the scene where they met the lifeless body of the man hanging on the wires.

NDLEA seizes ‘largest quantity of cocaine in the history of Ekiti’

The National Drug Laws Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Ekiti State said it had seized 87.88 grammes of cocaine in the state.

The Ekiti NDLEA commander, Gaura Shedow, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday that the seizure was the largest quantity in the history of the state.

He said the command had been battling with fighting Indian hemp cultivation, but that in recent time seizing such amount of quantity of cocaine was “worrisome.”

The event held at Polo Ground, Jericho, Ibadan was attended by Nigerian singer, songwriter and music producer, Timi Dakolo, members of Akinkunmi’s family, close friends, and the media. Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor also made a surprise appearance. The 85-year-old Akinkunmi said: “I have always dreamt about Nigeria being at the front of every good thing.”

Prior to the unveiling, the Guinness world record was held by the United Arab Emirate. It covered an area of 2,448.6 square meters.

According to organisers of the event, the process to certify the feat has begun and should be concluded before the flag is hosted later this year in Ibadan.

McAfee founder commits suicide in Barcelona jail

John David McAfee, British-American computer programmer and founder of software company McAfee Associates has reportedly taken his own life.

The suicide occurred just hours after reports that McAfee would be extradited from Spain to the US to face federal charges of culpable tax evasion, Spanish newspaper El Pais reports.

The creator of the widely used computer antivirus software McAfee was arrested in October and had been held at Brians 2 Prison in Spain since then.

The Spanish High Court earlier on Wednesday had agreed to extradite McAfee, who in October got a 10-count indictment in the Western District of Tennessee for allegedly evading taxes on millions of dollars he earned through speaking engagements, documentary and consulting work.

Scooter Braun has granted an interview during which he addressed his his Big Machine Label Group deal with Taylor Swift.

In 2019, Braun’s Ithaca Holdings acquired Big Machine Label Group, marking a deal that also included the masters to Taylor Swift’s first six albums. And this lead to the beginning of his fight with the singer.

“For years I asked, pleaded for a chance to own my work,” Swift said in a Tumblr post at the time. “Instead I was given an opportunity to sign back up to Big Machine Records and ‘earn’ one album back at a time, one for every new one I turned in. I walked away because I knew once I signed that contract, Scott Borchetta would sell the label, thereby selling me and my future. I had to make the excruciating choice to leave behind my past.”

Now, in a new interview with Variety’s Shirley Halperin, Braun looked back on the deal, more specifically Swift’s reaction to it.

“I regret and it makes me sad that Taylor had that reaction to the deal. … All of what happened has been very confusing and not based on anything factual,” he said. “I don’t know what story she was told. I asked for her to sit down with me several times, but she refused. I offered to sell her the catalog back and went under NDA, but her team refused. It all seems very unfortunate.”

Ronaldo scores 109th International goal to equal Daei’s record

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 109th goal for Portugal in Wednesday’s Euro 2020 game against France to equal former Iran striker Ali Daei’s all-time international record.

The 36-year-old Ronaldo, the leading scorer in European Championship history, converted his second penalty of the game in Budapest to match the record in his 178th international appearance.

Ronaldo is the first player to appear at five editions of the tournament and has scored five times in three Group F games.

Omokri blasts Buhari over latest medical trip

A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has given President Muhammadu Buhari a deadline to return to the country following the announcement of his latest medical trip to London.

In a statement issued on Thursday by the Special Adviser to the President Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, the president is to depart Abuja for London in United Kingdom on Friday for a medical follow-up.

According to the statement, the president is expected back in Nigeria during the second week of July.

FG Reportedly Threatens To Suspend Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Others

Federal Government has on Tuesday reportedly threatened to suspend all social media platforms used to propagate division of the country through inflammatory statements or posts.

According to SaharaReporters, Minister for Information, Culture and Tourism, Lai Mohammed stated this before House of Representatives Joint Committee on Information, Justice, and Communication on Tuesday at the National Assembly in Abuja while answering questions on the ban on Twitter.

He said Twitter made its platform available as a choice for people who want to destabilise and cause disunity in Nigeria.

When asked if any channel of dialogue had been opened with Twitter, the minister said;

We tried to but they rebuffed us. They are not known to us. They are not registered, but we hope we will be able to engage them.

However, after the hearing, President Buhari approved the creation of a ministerial team to dialogue with Twitter over the ban of the microblogging site.

The 6 man committee include Lai Mohammed, who is the chairman, Babatunde Fashola, Minister of Works and Housing; Abubakar Malami, Attorney-General of the Federation; Isa Pantami (Communication and Digital Economy), Chris Ngige (Labour), and Geoffrey Onyeama (Foreign Affairs).

During the hearing, the information minister also lamented that the organisation had no investment in Nigeria, but in Ghana, while the target market was Nigeria.
