An aide to Delta State Governor Okowa, has said that singer Tiwa Savage is yet to give an apology, following her leaked tape saga.

Ossai Ovie Success who is an aide to the Delta State Governor has blasted Tiwa Savage for not putting out an apology.

According to him, the “Somebody’s Son” crooner is yet to apologize to fans, and people standing by her are just doing an act of “senselessness”.

The Governor’s aide, Ossai Ovie Success wrote in a Facebook post;

“Tiwa Savage is yet to apologize to us. I don’t see why people are standing with Tiwa Savage over an act of senselessness.

I understand she might end up being depressed if the people who are standing with her speak against her but in as much as we don’t want anything negative to happen to her we mustn’t support that Senseless act.

A lot of our young people look up to her and she end up disappointing everyone.

As she is bold to accept the Sex tape, she should be proud to apologize to us. We should stop supporting what is wrong.

It’s not normal for two people to video themselves while making out . It’s an act of abnormality.

Beyonce is sure to have yet another hit  with her song “Be Alive,” which is featured in the new trailer for the biopic about Venus and Serena Williams’ father, called “King Richard.”

Last month, thanks to the premiere of the King Richard biopic at the Telluride Film Festival, Beyonce fans learned that the singer would soon be releasing new music. One of her upcoming songs, titled “Be Alive,” will appear in the movie and a quick preview of the track can be heard in the newest trailer for King Richard. The track is a moving ballad with a heavy piano presence that focuses on overcoming tough battles.

“Can’t nobody knock it if they try,” Beyonce sings on the song, later adding, “Do you know how much we have pride? / How hard we have to try?”

The upcoming King Richard film is executive produced by tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams as it follows the siblings from their youth to adulthood as they overcome numerous hardships to be the legendary tennis players we know them as today. Will Smith plays the role of their father while Saniyya Sidney and Demi Singleton play Venus and Serena respectively. This film will arrive in both theaters and on HBO Max next on November 19.

The preview of Beyonce’s upcoming song comes after she praised Balmain’s creative director during the brand’s spring/summer 2022 fashion show in Paris. She also shared a touching note to fans thanking them for their wishes after she turned 40.

Baldwin discharged a prop firearm on the set of “Rust” on Thursday, Santa Fe County authorities said.

The cinematographer was killed and the director was injured.

COVID-19: Ondo also makes vaccination compulsory for civil servants

Ondo State Government has resolved to stop workers without evidence of COVID-19 vaccination from entering government offices with effect from November 1, 2021.

The government, through the state’s Head of Service, Mr Niran Adeyemi, gave the directive at a meeting with top government functionaries in the state.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Segun Odusanya, disclosed this at a meeting with the management and members of staff of the ministry, in Akure, the state capital on Wednesday.

Odusanya described the directive as a fallout of an earlier meeting with the Head of Service, saying “any civil servant in the Ondo State Government’s pay roll not vaccinated by November 1, should not be allowed into the office.”

Vowing to enforce the directive as a means of protecting members of staff, Odusanya reminded them that “the COVID-19 pandemic is not yet over but there is a more deadly variant”, hence the need to be vaccinated and to obey protocols.

He urged them to prioritise their health checking their blood pressure, blood sugar level and others regularly.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu said the final report of the Judicial Panel of Enquiry and Restitution, formed after the EndSARS protest in 2020, is still to be submitted.

Back on July I found out I was pregnant. I didn’t even know or suspect being pregnant because I took all measures to prevent it, however 2 weeks after missing my period I started bleeding, having really bad cramps! Blood clots, I had no ideas what was going on. I figured maybe it was the fibroids I have in my ovaries acting up which I’ve never spoken about either. Just to find out I was having a miscarriage.

I cried for days cause I really did want to have that baby! I’m not getting any younger and I’ve always been afraid of waiting too long til it’s too late. I’ve always wanted to start my own little family and also seeing how my mom’s health isn’t that great I want my children to enjoy having a grandmother because I never had one. I had so many dreams and hope that just bled out of me.

The leadership and succession crises at the Synagogue Church of All Nations may not be over as a member of the Board of Trustees, Joseph David, has raised the alarm over alleged threats to his life and those of other leaders of the ministry.

David, who has gone into hiding with other disciples of the late founder of the church, Prophet Temitope Joshua, aka TB Joshua, claimed that the family of the founder was using law enforcement agents to hunt them.

He said this was because of their perceived closeness to the late cleric and supposed knowledge of important details of the church not known to the family.

Buhari hosts Turkey’s Erdogan in Abuja

President Muhammadu Buhari will host President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey to a two-day official visit to Nigeria.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media & Publicity), Garba Shehu, in a statement issued on Tuesday, said President Erdogan, who would be accompanied by the First Lady, Emine, is expected to come in from Angola, and depart to Togo at the end of his visit.

Shehu said in the course of the visit, the leaders of the two countries were expected to consider about two dozen Bilateral Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and they will authorize the signing of those on which there is concurrence.

He added that President Erdogan, who will hold a one-on-one meeting with President Buhari is expected to commission the Turkish Cultural Centre in Abuja while his wife, Emine, accompanied by the First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari is expected to commission the newly-renovated Government Secondary School in Wuse 11.

The presidential aide, who said the school was renovated by a Turkish aid organization, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordinating Agency, TIKA, added that Nigeria considers Turkey a close partner and sees this visit as a milestone in our bilateral relations.

EFCC grills Kwankwaso over N10bn fraud

Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Saturday grilled the immediate past Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, over allegations of fraud.

ThePunch reports that Kwankwaso was invited for allegedly diverting the N10billion meant for the payment of pensions and construction of houses.

Kwankwaso, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, was first invited by the EFCC in September but failed to honour the invitation.

The report stated that some retirees are believed to have written a petition to the commission demanding the investigation and possible prosecution of the ex-governor.

The petition claims the former governor had mismanaged pension remittances to the tune of N10 billion between 2011 and 2015, to fund a housing project for his cronies.

“Kwankwaso came in today. He is responding to questions on alleged fraud following a series of petitions the EFCC received against him. In one of such petitions, the former governor was accused of diverting N10bn meant for the payment of pensions and construction of houses,” an EFCC detective said.

Do2dtun noted that the likes of Falz, Debo Macaroni, Rinu, Aisha Yesufu, DJ Switch should get into the political terrain adding that the strength gathered over time will force many things to shake loose in our government.

Segun Showunmi, the Spokesman of Atiku Abubakar 2019 Presidential Campaign, has described as unfortunate, the failure of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s government to use the opportunities presented by last year’s EndSARS protest to reset the country.

Showunmi stated that a year after the violent EndSARS protest that led to loss of lives and property, the issue of good governance, police reforms and others demanded by the protesters were still unattended to by the Buhari government.

Netflix CEO Agrees He ‘Screwed Up Internal Communication’ Regarding Dave Chappelle Controversy

Ted Sarandos has agreed that his messed up the internal communications with staff who have a problem with Dave Chappelle’s controversial special, The Closer.

Recall that people condemned the special as transphobic, with Netflix staff threatening a walkout on October 20. Now, speaking with Deadline, Sarandos said he “screwed up the internal communication.”

“First, right upfront, I screwed up the internal communication — and I don’t mean just mechanically,” Sarandos told Deadline. “I feel I should’ve made sure to recognize that a group of our employees was hurting very badly from the decision made, and I should’ve recognized upfront before going into a rationalization of anything the pain they were going through. I say that because I respect them deeply, and I love the contribution they have at Netflix. They were hurting, and I should’ve recognized that first.”

Rolling Stone is reporting that the court has refused to award a default $20 million default judgement to the woman, Jennifer Hough, who accused Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty of harassment.

Hough claims Minaj attempted to harass and intimidate her into denying that Petty of raping her 1995. She says she has received a “relentless campaign of bribery, intimidation, harassment, and stalking.”

Well last week, Minaj filed paperwork saying that she had hired a lawyer and that it took this long because of an “innocent mistake” and miscommunication between her and her legal team.

‘Why Nigerians can’t trust an Igbo president’ – Dokpesi

DAAR Communications Plc, Chief Raymond Dokpesi says the separatist activities of Nnamdi Kanu would jeopardise the chances of the South-East region to produce the president of Nigeria in 2023.

In a statement on Monday, Dokpesi noted that he is a firm believer in a united, indivisible Nigeria.

He stated that the emergence of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its influence across the South-East “has complicated and undermined the agitation for patriotic Nigerians of Igbo extraction to lead this nation as far as the 2023 election is concerned.”

The PDP chieftain argued that if an Igbo President is voted in, Kanu would use militant tactics to blackmail and force the President to declare the South-East independent of Nigeria.

He said, “On the surrender of Biafra to Nigeria, Yakubu Gowon, declared ‘no Victor, no vanquished’ but clearly, since, the regions that have determined leadership have used this against the South-East and denied Igbos the opportunity to lead. Should that be used against the leaders and sons of the South-East today? Of course not!

“I have publicly come out to support and call on a Southeastern presidential candidate in the recent past, but the emergence of IPOB and its influence across the South-East has complicated and undermined the agitation for patriotic Nigerians of Igbo extraction to lead this nation as far as the 2023 election is concerned.

Bun B Reflects On Making ‘Big Pimpin’ With Jay-Z & Pimp C

Bun B gave some incredible insight on Pimp C’s swag as he reflected on the making of the song and video for “Big Pimpin.” 

 

 Bun appeared on B High TV, the internet show of Atlanta radio personality B High, and talked about he and Pimp C’s experience making the song and video for “Big Pimpin” with Jay-Z. 

Bun said initially he didn’t know anything about the song until he got in the studio in New York. He said the song had a different hook at first, and he was told everyone was going to record their verse with a different hook.

 

 But, they ended up keeping the hook that Bun used for the whole record. Jay-Z was impressed with Bun’s bars on the record, but Pimp C didn’t agree to be on the song until 2 months later. Pimp said he was only going to do eight bars on the song, and Bun believes that Pimp’s eight bars ended up being “eight of the most iconic bars in history.” 

As for the video, Bun said they received a $1M budget to shoot the video in Trinidad and Tobago during Carnival, but Pimp didn’t go because he had a new car and a new lady at the time. Pimp C and his new lady (Gloria Velez), who was also supposed to be in the video, showed up at the video reshoot in Miami. 

Pimp and Gloria got dressed in mink coats in 90 degree weather to film the video on the beach in Miami. So Jay-Z asked Pimp if he was really going to shoot the video in a mink coat, and Bun said Pimp looked at Jay-Z and said, “Man, TV ain’t got no temperature” and walked off. Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has set the records straight: he didn’t attend the concert organized by the Lagos State Government recently, and this comes after news surfaced that celebrities like Davido cancelled their appearance after they learned that the event was sponsored by the same government which oversaw the Lekki 2020 #EndSARS scandal.

Writing on social media, activist Rinu said this about Davido: “I remember Lagos State Govt organized a concert few days ago & covertly invited many celebrities. The moment Davido found out they were one of the sponsors, he canceled!”

She continued: “You cannot infringe on young peoples’ rights & still expect our celebrities to perform for you. O wrong now.”

Mark Zuckerberg’s Impostor, 4 Others Jailed For Internet Fraud In Ilorin

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ilorin Zonal Command, has secured the conviction of an internet fraudster, Jatto Sheriff Umar.

The 21-year-old was specialised in posing as the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, and defrauding unsuspecting victims via online relationship.

He was convicted and sentenced to prison for offences bordering on personation and cybercrime.

Ilorin Zonal Command of EFCC also secured the conviction of four other persons for similar offences.

They are a fake US Military Officer, Oguntoyinbo Oluwatobi Damilola; Taiwo Akinyemi Kayode from Ekiti West LGA of Ekiti State, Adebayo Adeola Mark from Osi in Ekiti LGA of Kwara State, Adedoyin Olayinka from Ilesha West LGA of Osun State and one Yusuf Alameen Abiodun from Igbo-Owu Area of Kwara State.

Pandora Papers: I Am Yet To Receive Invitation From EFCC – Peter Obi

Forrmer Anambra Governor, Peter Obi has stated that he has not received any invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC in connection with the Pandora paper leak.

He also denied having reacted to an invitation from the EFCC to him.

He stated that what is being circulated on different social media platforms was not from him.

Obi said he only read letters circulating on the internet, just like everyone else.

The former governor, in a press release by his media Office, Valentine Obienyem, said a reaction which quoted him as requesting the EFCC to make their investigations public, among other remarks did not emanate from him.

He said: “Obi is yet to receive the letter from the EFCC, which he read on social media like others.

“From what is circulating, the letter appears to have been sent to an office he is no longer part of and is yet to reach him.”
