Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has set the records straight: he didn’t attend the concert organized by the Lagos State Government recently, and this comes after news surfaced that celebrities like Davido cancelled their appearance after they learned that the event was sponsored by the same government which oversaw the Lekki 2020 #EndSARS scandal.
Writing on social media, activist Rinu said this about Davido: “I remember Lagos State Govt organized a concert few days ago & covertly invited many celebrities. The moment Davido found out they were one of the sponsors, he canceled!”
She continued: “You cannot infringe on young peoples’ rights & still expect our celebrities to perform for you. O wrong now.”
When a fan tagged Ebuka to the post, asking if he went, he quickly replied: “Nope Wasn’t even invited.”
