Rose McGowan is calling out Oprah Winfrey, accusing the mogul of faking her support of the #MeToo movement.

“I am glad more are seeing the ugly truth of @Oprah,” the “Charmed” alum, 47, tweeted Sunday along with an old photo of the talk show host, now 67, smiling alongside convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein. “I wish she were real, but she isn’t.”
McGowan, an outspoken survivor of sexual assault, continued, “From being pals with Weinstein to abandoning & destroying Russell Simmon’s [sic] victims, she is about supporting a sick power structure for personal gain, she is as fake as they come. #lizard.”
Weinstein’s long list of alleged sexual assaults dating back to the 1970s was the catalyst for the #MeToo movement in October 2017, with McGowan being one of the first of dozens of women to accuse him of rape.

Toni Tones acted in the movie as “young Laburu” and had to exclusively speak in Yoruba as a young Oba.

#jaiyeorie During the most recent episode of her E! reality series, “We Got Love Teyana & Iman,” the R&B singer reveals that she underwent emergency surgery after discovering several lumps in her breasts while she was in Miami to shoot an ad campaign. “It was a lot of lumps, which is really bad,” said the 30-year-old. Her doctor performed a biopsy on her “dense” breast tissue and thankfully, the results came back fine. But it was still enough to make her nervous as cancer runs in her family. “I just want this to be the last time I go through this,” she said. “Cancer runs through my family, so it’s a scary thing both for me and Iman.” After undergoing the “complicated” procedure on her chest and her under-arms, she was instructed to wait at least six weeks before lifting her two daughters, Junie, 5, and Rue, 11 months. She told her husband, Iman Shumpert, to take their kids to his family in Chicago while she awaited the outcome. “It’s tough,” she said. “I’m definitely overwhelmed because I miss my kids so much, I miss Iman so much.” In the episode, Teyana also revealed that she suffers from Cholestasis, a liver condition that makes her pregnancies high risk. Both her children were delivered a month early out of concern they would be stillborn.

Although Anthony Nwakaeme has represented Trabzonspor for only 3 seasons, the Nigeria international has been honoured with a statue in Turkey.
The monument was erected in Trabzonspor – the city where the 32-year-old striker’s club is based.
It depicts Nwakeme – in a Trabzonspor jersey – trying to kick a ball, with arms outstretched – although with a cap of club legend Ahmet Suat Ozyazci.
Adem Birsen who is the brain behind the image claimed the construction took less than six months while explaining the motive behind it.

Mercy Aigbe, Broda Shaggi and other social media users have reacted to what Kwam1 did to Nollywood actors Sanyeri and Okele at an event.
A clip making the rounds on social media captured the moment Kwam1 chased actors Sanyeri and Okele away for hijacking the money meant to be sprayed on him.
Kwam1 was singing at an event, Sanyeri and Okele were seen dancing and sprayed instead of the Fuji musician serenading the audience.
Displeased with the scene, Kwam chased away the Yoruba actors, which has generated outrage and hilarious reactions online.
Mercy Aigbe laughed over the video and wrote lobatan, a Yoruba word that means ‘it is now finished’. In the social media context, Lobatan means ‘something that’s beyond explanation or hilarious’.

Nigeria will suffer if we break up – Osinbajo
Vice-President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, has said Nigeria will be a great loser if the country breaks up.
According to him, there are “more opportunities for prosperity” if Nigeria remains an indivisible entity.
Osinbajo stated this while speaking on Thursday at the National Social Cohesion Dialogue organised by the Africa Polling Institute, in Abuja.
“All Nigerians have a constitutional right to live, work and enjoy their lives in peace and safety under the law. The classification of Nigerians as “indigenes” and “non-indigenes” is a form of apartheid and contradicts our declared aspirations towards equality and unity,” Osinbajo said.
“Our destinies have become so interlinked as to be inseparable. This is why this administration is investing heavily in transportation infrastructure – road, rail, sea and river ports – to reduce the distances between our people and link localities to markets and enable trade, travel and tourism.

NBC Query Letter To Channels TV Over Gov. Ortom Intervie
A letter reportedly sent to Channels Television by the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, querying them for interviewing the Governor of Benue state, Samuel Ortom has finally emerged.
Sahara Reporters Publisher, Omoyele Sowore attacked the Buhari administration for reportedly threatening to suspend Channels over the interview with Ortom.
In the letter, which can be seen below, NBC queried the TV station for violating broadcast codes by airing Ortom’s interview which was described as ‘divisive and ‘inciting’.
The letter read; The National Broadcasting Commission monitored the broadcast of your programme Sunrise Daily between 7am and 9am on Tuesday August 24, 2021.
The programme which had as guest the Executive Governor of Benue State, Governor Samuel Ortom was observed to contain inciting, divisive and unfair comments which were not thoroughly interrogated by the anchors. These negate the following provisions of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code;

Kanye West files to officially change his name to “Ye”
According to Aug. 11 court documents obtained by E! News, the rapper filed a request to change his name from Kanye Omari West to just “Ye”.
He stated in the filing that he wants to make the change for “personal reasons.”
Kim Kardashian’s estranged husband first gave himself the nickname back in 2018, ahead of an appearance on Saturday Night Live. He tweeted, “The being formally known as Kanye West…I am YE.”
At the time, he said in an interview that the moniker held a deeper spiritual meaning. “I believe ‘ye’ is the most commonly used word in the Bible, and in the Bible, it means ‘you.’
So, I’m you, I’m us, it’s us. It went from Kanye, which means the only one, to just Ye — just being a reflection of our good, our bad, our confusion, everything. The album is more of a reflection of who we are.”
The album Ye came out months before he was scheduled to share the Yahndi album. Ultimately, that project was seemingly shelved, with Kanye putting out Jesus Is King in October 2019.

Afghanistan women’s national football team are successfully evacuated from Kabul
Players from the Afghanistan women’s national football team had an ‘important victory’ on Tuesday when they were among a group of more than 75 people evacuated on a flight from Kabul.
Global football players’ union FIFPRO thanked the Australian government for making the evacuation of players, team officials and family members possible, with work continuing to help more leave Afghanistan.
‘These young women, both as athletes and activists, have been in a
position of danger and on behalf of their peers around the world we
thank the international community for coming to their aid,’ the union
said in a statement.
The Afghan team was created in 2007 in a country where women playing
sport was seen as a political act of defiance against the Taliban.
Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ tops Billboard world album chart
Award-winning Nigerian singer, Wizkid’s fourth studio album, Made In Lagos, has clinched the No. 1 spot on the Billboard world album chart.
The album which has spent a total of 41 weeks on the World album chart had debuted on the number two spot in November 2020.
Made In Lagos started gaining international recognition early this year after several international stars drummed support for ‘Essence’, the eleventh song in the album.
‘Essence’, featuring Nigerian breakthrough star, Tems, made history by being the first Nigerian song on the Billboard Hot 100 and Global 200 music chart in July.
