Lala Akindoju is elated for Rise, an original DisneyPlus film set to to be released in 2022.
The actress who served as casting director and actress on the project based on the life of Milwaukee Bucks star, Giannis Antetokounmpo, shared the news via her Instagram page.
Lala posted the note she received from the producers of the film and thanked everyone she worked with; both home and abroad on the project.
Sheremembered the late Sound Sultan, a basketball enthusiast who helped to connect the production team with some amazing young basketball players when the search for actors began.
