Odion Ighalo, a forward from Nigeria, was thrilled to win his first league championship.
Ighalo scored twice as Al Hilal overcame relegated Al-Faisaly 2-1 to win the Saudi Arabia Professional League championship on Monday night.
It was the 18th time Ramon Diaz's team would win the championship.
The striker, who concluded the season with 24 goals as the season's leading scorer, received a double honor as a result.
The former Manchester United and Udinese player celebrated the win on social media.
“I waited 17 years before winning my first league title. It doesn’t matter how long it takes, if you keep working hard and never give up, you will get it right one day. God is the greatest,” he wrote on Instagram.
