Lagos State Park and Garages Management's Chairman
The new costume for members was unveiled by Musiliu Akinsanya, known MC Oluomo.
Oluomo and a few of his followers posed for photos while donning uniforms bearing the letters LASPG, an acronym for Lagos State Parks and Garages.
A jacket is included with the uniform.
The action is a part of MC Oluomo's mission to transform the organization's members into professionals in opposition to popular opinion.
The head of the transportation union made a request to the Lagos State University (LASU) School of Transport and Logistics last month for cooperation in developing the commercial bus driver training program.
Following his resignation from the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in March 2022, MC Oluomo has been in charge of parks and garages in Lagos.
MC Oluomo stated during the third lecture series of the LASU School of Transport and Logistics held at Majekodunmi Hall, LASU, that the partnership between his committee and the school would aid in the implementation of Governor Babajide Sanwo-THEMES Olu's agenda among bus drivers.
The former NURTW boss emphasized the necessity for training and retraining of commercial bus operators while being represented by the committee's assistant secretary, Olayiwola Lemboye. “When our members go for training, they will learn new techniques of
dealing with the public and maintenance of their vehicles. The majority
of them will see the need to cooperate with the traffic officials and
abide by the state’s transport regulations,” he said.
