The much-anticipated LeBron James biography Shooting Stars now has an official trailer, which was published by Peacock.

Regarding the movie:

Shooting Stars takes place in the 1990s, when a young LeBron James (Marquis Cook) and his three closest pals, Lil Dru (Caleb McLaughlin), Willie McGee (Avery S. Wills, Jr.), and Sian Cotton (Khalil Everage), designate themselves the "Fab Four," in reference to the storied Michigan Wolverines' "Fab Five" of the time.

We understand this bunch of buddies, led by coach Dru Joyce (Wood Harris), are bonded by more than just basketball as soon as we first meet them.

The Fab Four therefore decide to switch schools in order to be able to play varsity together, joining the squad at a largely white Catholic school in its place. This decision is made when the coach at the top basketball school in their district threatens to split them by putting Lil Dru on junior varsity.

The neighborhood views this as an insult, but the lads' commitment to one another takes precedence over all other considerations.

In their quest to become national champions, the boys, along with former rival and new teammate Romeo Travis (newcomer Sterling "Scoot" Henderson), will face battles not only on the court but in real life. They will rediscover that what matters most about life isn't just winning. Their new coach, Dermot Mulroney, is a disgraced former college coach seeking his own redemption.

Premiere Date:

June 2, 2023, on Peacock
