Soludo Picks Former London Mayor As Chief Of Staf

Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo announced the nomination of Ernest Ezeajughi, an Anambra native, as chief of staff on Monday.
Mr. Soludo also named Ben Chiobi as his special adviser on security and Richard Madiebo as the chairman of the Anambra State Internal Revenue Service.

According to Black Past, an American online "reference center" dedicated to African American history, Mr Ezeajughi was elected mayor of the London Borough of Brent on April 16, 2019.

Mr Ezeajughi, a staunch supporter of the British Labour Party, was elected councillor in Britain in 2014 before becoming mayor.

In a white-dominated political environment, he won re-election in 2018 to keep his seat. According to the reference, he was also elected Deputy Mayor of Brent a few months later.According to the reference center, he was also elected Deputy Mayor of Brent a few months later.

Between 2010 and 2012, the 62-year-old chief of staff served as head of the British branch of Nigeria's All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).

Mr Soludo was elected governor of Anambra on the platform of the APGA, which has remained the dominant political force in the state.
