Hyundai, KIA To Set Up Assembly Plants In Ghana By 2022

South Korean Automobile giants, Hyundai and Kia have signed agreement with Ghanaian government to set up vehicle assembling plants in the country by the end of 2022.
Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, Minister of Trade and Industry of Ghana, announced the development via his Twitter page on Thursday, April 22.
He said when the firms set up, they would be joining firms like “Toyota-Suzuki, Nissan, Kantanka, Volkswagen & Sinotruck” that are already operating in the country.
The Minister said the Ghana Auto Development programme will create “6,600 manufacturing parts jobs in Ghana”.

Automobile giants, Hyundai and KIA are reportedly set to establish assembly plants in Ghana.
Ghana’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan John Kyerematen who made
the announcement, said Hyundai and KIA will be establishing the
assembly plants in the West African country by the end of 2022.
They will be joining Toyota-Suzuki, Nissan, Kantanka, Volkswagen
& Sinotruck as automobile companies which have assembly plants in
Ghana.

A source recently told PEOPLE that the divorce is proceeding smoothly and “Kim and Kanye are getting along.”
“They have both stayed true to their commitment to make the best situation for the kids,” the source said.
“Kim is very happy that they have managed to keep things calm. She thinks Kanye is a good dad,” the insider continued. “She wants him to be able to spend as much time with the kids as he wants.”

Wizkid, has achieved another feat with his 2017 song, Come Closer, which features Canadian superstar, Drake.
The hit track has been certified platinum in the UK and gold in Australia.
His new achievement comes shortly after the iconic singer bagged a
Grammy Award.
Wizkid won the Best Music Video for his song with Beyoncé; Brown Skin Girl, from Lion King: The Gift album.
According to the BRITS Certified Awards website, songs are awarded
platinum status when they achieve 600,000 units of sales. The records
are awarded the gold status for 400,000 units and silver for 200,000
units, but this would be based on Official Charts Company data.
Reacting to the news, Leandro Hidalgo, who is the mixing engineer for
the song, Come Closer, took to his Instagram account to show off a
plaque for the achievement.

However, the star believes the drink is well worth the price.

EFCC arrests Instagram comedian, Pankeeroy over fraud

The
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested popular
Instagram comedian, Nwagbo Oliver Chidera, popularly known as Pankeeroy.
Pankeeroy,
with over 500,000 followers on Instagram, was arrested in Lagos State
with 34 others for alleged involvement in computer-related fraud.
EFCC said he was arrested by operatives of the Lagos Zonal Office of the Commission.
They
were arrested on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at their hideout in James
Court, Lekki, Lagos following verified intelligence received by the
Commission over alleged criminal activities.
Until
his arrest, Chidera, who claimed to have gone into Bitcoin scam after
he suffered depression, had been presenting himself as a vendor who
redeems bitcoin vouchers using the bitcoincoretrading.com platform to
allegedly defraud his unsuspecting victims.

NCDC apologises to 2Baba, others over covid-19 test

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has apologized to 2baba and
other Nigerian travelers who recently experienced difficulties over
Covid-19 test arrangements.
2baba in an Instagram
post on Wednesday lamented how the inefficient Covid-19 test portal
fails to deliver QR codes for travelers after paying N50,000 for the
test.
2Baba noted that the failed service
leaves travelers stranded and asked: “who takes responsibility for it”.
However, NCDC took responsibility for it on Thursday.

US retail company Amazon is set to begin construction for its African headquarters in South Africa.
Although Amazon’s web engineering giant AWS has been in South Africa
for years, Amazon will occupy a 15-hectare River Club mixed-use
development which costs R4 billion and includes two precincts; Amazon
headquarters in Africa and several developments for commercial and
housing purposes, BusinessTech reported.
Cape Town city officials said in a statement that the “US retail
giant, Amazon, will be the anchor tenant, opening a base of operations
on the African continent. The development is envisaged to take place in
phases, with construction set to take place over three to five years”.
According to BusinessTech,
the development should take place in phases and construction may take
as long as three to five years. It is also expected to create 5,239 jobs
in the construction phase alone and 19,000 indirect and induced jobs
during the project.

It kicked off today April 22, with a lying-in-state and service of songs at the Police College, Ikeja Lagos.
Lagos state Governor, Sanwo Olu and other dignitaries across the country attended the lying-in-state.
His
body will leave for Moro, his country home, in Ife North LGA of Osun

Yoruba actor, Olarenwaju James, aka Baba Ijesha, has been arrested by
the Lagos State Police Command.
The 48-year-old actor was arrested for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old
girl over the course of 7 years.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi,
disclosed this in a statement titled, "Lagos police arrest, investigate
popular Nollywood actor for defilement".
The statement reads: "The Lagos State Police Command has arrested one
Olarenwaju James ‘male’ 48, aka Baba Ijesha, popular Nollywood actor for
defiling a minor.
"The case of defilement was reported on 19th April, 2021 by one Princess
Adekola Adekanya ‘female’ at Sabo Police Station and transferred to the
Gender Unit of the State CID, Panti, Yaba Lagos for proper
investigation.
"Based on preliminary findings, the suspect started sexually assaulting
the victim, 14 years, since she was seven years old.
"The suspect confessed to the crime and was also captured by a CCTV
camera in the house of the complainant.
"The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered
for proper investigation as he promised to do justice in the matter."
President Muhammadu Buhari has finally broken his silence over the
allegations surrounding the Minister of Communications and Digital
Economy, Isa Pantami.
Pantami was recently linked with terrorists’ organisations like Al-Qaeda and Taliban due to his past radical preachings.
The Minister also admitted making such controversial comments but claimed his perception has changed.
It however led to calls for his resignation or sack by the president.

peasant farmer who wakes up early in the morning to milk the cow.

an online fight and dragged him into it.

government primary and secondary school teachers in Rivers State,
yesterday, protested non-payment of their five years salaries by the
state government.
The protesters, who took over the entrance of

with her on his matrimonial bed 4 years ago when he was still married to
his now ex-wife Lilian Esoro and she didn’t feel anything special even
though she never thought he could do that.

that she regrets what she did back then because she was so naïve and it
turned out to be a waste of sin because she didn’t feel anything
special and didn’t know if it was because she was plus size or it’s his
