Bobrisky had promised to give Tacha 1 million naira after her disqualification. Trolls was a publicity stunt and that he would not fulfill it.

Bobrisky  proved them wrong by depositing the sum of 500,000 into Tacha’s account. Hepromised to transfer the balance of 500k to her later.
He shaded those that promised big money without fulfilling their promises.

 Emanuel Poku,24 has been handed a 2 year 9 months jail sentence after he pleaded guilty to conspiring to defraud the UK telecommunications industry and UK banking industry, possession of an article used in fraud and possession of a false passport.The suspect who had 500,000 phone numbers and 35,000 bank card numbers linked to more than £2 million of reported losses on laptops and mobiles at the time of his arrest, funded luxury holidays with proceeds of his crime. 
 
The Enfield resident tricked customers into giving away their financial and personal details by sending out thousands of “smishing” text messages imitating banks and mobile phone companies. He also used ‘sim swaps’ to complete fraudulent transfers and purchases on customers’ accounts.

New Minister, Akpabio stops employment in NDDC

The Federal Government has ordered the suspension of any employment exercise in the Niger Delta Development Commission with immediate effect.

The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio who issued the order, also directed the suspension of handing over of appointment letters, documentation and all other processes connected to employment into the NDDC.

A statement issued on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Anietie Ekong, said Akpabio gave the directive in a letter issued by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Didi Walson-Jack, to the Acting Managing Director of the NDDC, Dr. Akwagaga Enyia.

Man disguises as prostitute, defrauds patrons at Lagos clubs

 Victor Monday,29 was arrested by a police team from the Mushin Police Station around 12am on Ogunmokun Street while he was in female costume waiting for “a client” by the roadside.
He was apprehended for staying late outside without giving any genuine reason.

Facebook removes accounts from Nigeria, UAE, others

Facebook has removed hundreds of accounts, pages and groups from its social network platforms that the company says were involved in coordinated inauthentic behaviour.

The tech giant said it removed a total of 443 Facebook and 125 Instagram accounts, as well as 200 pages and 76 groups originating in the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Nigeria and Indonesia.

In a blog post Thursday, Facebook said that one of the operations was sharing local news in targeted countries and promoting content about UAE as well as criticism of Qatar, Turkey and Iran.

Elderly woman hailed after she was filmed fighting off an armed bank robber (video)

An elderly female bank employee has been praised after she fought off an armed bank robber and kicked him to leave the premises.

In a viral video shared online, the bank robber, who detectives have linked to multiple bank robberies in Texas, is seen in a bank hall with a gun.
She fought him off and refused to cower even as he hit her with his gun and pointed it at her. She succeeded in kicking him out of the premises.

The woman in the video is 60-year-old Jill Beaty. Beaty is a bank teller for the First State Bank and was the first one on location that day. Police say that she was inside the bank alone for 15 minutes and then went to unlock the door for a fellow coworker.

Sanwo-Olu Pledges $20 Million to Improve Water Sanitation

Lagos State governor, Sanwo-Olu has announced a pledge of $20 million to improve water and sanitation thereby ending open defecation in the state. He made this known at the just concluded 2019 Global Citizen Festival in New York.


During an interactive session of global leaders, activists and entertainer, Sanwo-Olu announced Lagos, Nigeria as the host city for the year 2020 Global Citizen Festival, stating the need to end extreme poverty by the year 2030, which is the target of the Global Citizen movement must be embraced by world leaders.
