Man Disguised As Woman Caught With Bag Filled With Female Panties at Ogun State (photos)

A man was apprehended with a bag full of stolen undies at one of the female hostels of Ogun State College of Health Technology, OSCOHTECH, in Ilese-Ijebu, Ogun state.

The man disguised as a woman selling ice cream to gain entrance into the hostel. But as he was exiting the hostel, people got suspicious when it was observed that his bag looked fuller than it was when he was going in. 

Security guards searched him and found different stolen pants in the bag. They also discovered that he was male, not a female as his dressing seemed to imply. The suspect has been handed over to the police.

The names of the presidential and vice-presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) is missing from the final list of presidential candidates published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). INEC published the full list on Thursday. Donald Duke, a former Governor of Cross River State, had won the presidential primary election of the party but his victory had been challenged by Jerry Gana, a former Minister of Information. The matter was taken to court and the court recognized Gana and upturned the result.

APC Suspends Governor Rochas Okorocha

The Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended the state governor,  Okorocha, from the party with immediate effect. His suspension followed what the leadership of the party in the state described as “gross anti-party activities”.

According to the party, the suspension order is consequent upon a report of the Matthew Omegara-led disciplinary committee set up to investigate allegations of gross anti-party activities against the governor. The party leadership in the state premised the suspension of the governor on Article 21 (B) i–vi of the APC constitution as amended.

Rihanna To Launch Her Own Luxury Fashion Label

Rihanna is preparing to launch her own luxury brand with the world's biggest fashion conglomerate, according to reports Thursday.

The Barbados-born superstar, who already has her own highly successful Fenty sportswear label, is in secret talks with the French giant LVMH, according to Women's Wear Daily (WWD).

The industry bible said the group, which owns such iconic brands as Dior, Louis Vuitton, Fendi and Givenchy, is assembling a gang of top designers for the project.
The site reports:

LVMH has already handpicked a clutch of employees from within, including some from Louis Vuitton and Celine, to work on the project in tandem with Rihanna and some of her key associates, sources said.
It is understood her collection with LVMH will span ready-to-wear, leather goods and accessories, and could be released in tandem with her ninth album, expected out sometime later this year, one source said.
Sources inside LVMH describe her as a hands-on type who is extensively involved in product development. It is understood LVMH started assembling her fashion team about six months ago in Paris, with the project being overseen by Sidney Toledano, chairman and chief executive officer of LVMH Fashion Group, a stable of fashion houses that includes Givenchy, Celine, Kenzo and Marc Jacobs.

Ritualists Den Uncovered in Ekiti

The Ekiti State police command has uncovered a ritualists’ den in Odo, a suburb in Ado Ekiti, the state capital and arrested two suspected ritualists.

The Commissioner of Police, Asuquo Amba, who led a team of officers and journalists to the forest where the shrine was located, said the hideout could be a den of kidnappers, fraudsters and other undesirable elements.

The Minister of Interior, Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, says Nigeria will soon begin local production of e-passports to conserve foreign exchange. Kenya Dambazau, who said this at an event to mark his three years in office, said producing the passport in the country would also help in job creation and build Nigeria’s capacity in passport production. “Currently, our passports are being produced outside the country; not too long, we will start the production of passports which is under the Private-Public Partnership (PPP). “Within the period under review, the ministry was able to review agreement under PPP, to ensure that the quality of services are improved and the government’s share of revenue is increased.”

I’m Not Going To Enrich Members Of My Family But My Friends – Atiku

Atiku says among other things, if elected into power he will enrich his friends.
The PDP candidate stated this on Wednesday while addressing the business community in Lagos at an event themed “Getting Nigeria’s Economy Working : A Pragmatic Approach.
“I am not going to enrich members of my family but my friends.
“Are my friends not entitled to be enriched? As long as there is no element of corruption there,” he said.

Killer of Morgan Freeman’s granddaughter is jailed for 20 years

The man who stabbed the step-granddaughter of Morgan Freeman 25 times in front of eyewitnesses has been sentenced to 20 years in prison with an additional five years of post-release supervision.
Lamar Davenport, 33, was convicted of manslaughter in the first degree in May of last year for the fatal attack on 33-year-old E’Dena Hines, who was his girlfriend at the time.

Davenport had been initially charged with murder in the second-degree, but the defense argued he had been in a drug-induced psychosis during the brutal slaying, brought on by his use of PCP.
According to Mailonline , One man who witnessed the attack testified at the trial that during the attack Davenport screamed: ‘I love you. I always loved you. God would have wanted this.’
After he was arrested, Davenport was taken to a hospital where after he was given sedatives he awoke screaming; ‘Why did this happen? No, no! Why God?’
