El-Rufai agrees to free "Audu Maikori over Southern Kaduna Fake news after Oby Ezekwesili's intervention @GovKaduna

@Audu this apology helps as an entry point to lessons of yesterday's event which I only caught up on very late&my call to @GovKaduna today. I urged the @GovKaduna to get @Audu out & he replied that his policy of Consequences was important for stemming killings in #SouthernKaduna. he @GovKaduna stated that the actions for which @Audu apologized inflamed  the #SouthKaduna conflict more & so the law taking its course.

I asked the @GovKaduna to consider  @Audu 's apology and his unfortunate arrest as a TEACHABLE MOMENT for both the Government & everyone. People already know how stridently I  insist on EVIDENCE-BASED ADVOCACY. WE all must take a LESSON from this.  @GovKaduna @Audu. #LESSON. There's no basis for a Govt clamp down on Citizens'  FACT-BASED advocacy on ANY ISSUE. So @Audu admitted he was WRONG. Accept it @GovKaduna

I told @GovKaduna that it was best to FREE @Audu &  use this as the Govt's POLICY MOMENT to get its MESSAGE of CONSEQUENCES thru to Public. I pressed on the NECESSITY for @GovKaduna to act to FREE @Audu and allow all sides to LEARN the RIGHT LESSON from this painful episode. At the end of our discussion, @GovKaduna agreed to ACT and FREE @Audu quickly and end this unfortunate development. WILL WATCH OUT FOR IT. Upon release today, I very much hope that @GovKaduna and  @Audu can find points of COLLABORATION on #SouthernKaduna after this sad episode

I don’t have a sugar daddy anywhere. @lizanjorin

Pretty actress, Liz Anjorin  is currently producing a multi-million naira movie project titled, ‘Owo Nairabet.’
In a chat with Saturday Beats, the actress who is a single mother of one, said she had heard of such but in all honesty, all she has achieved has been through her sweat and blood. She said that even though she is a celebrity, she sleeps on the bare floor in her shop and even has her bath in public all because she is “hustling”.

“As a young woman, no sugar daddy would want to invest in you without getting a baby from you. I work like a slave and I sleep in my shop in Ogba. I don’t just sleep there for a day but for weeks. I stay in Lekki Phase One but I sleep on the bare floor in my shop for months. I bathe in a gutter, my workers would hold a cloth to cover me from the public eye and I would bathe there and I am a celebrity. This is what I do often and I work like a slave. Aside from being an actress, I am a fashion designer; I also sell jewellery, shoes and bags. I used to travel out of the country most times to Senegal to buy goods but I cannot do that anymore because of the exchange rate. The clothes that we used to sell for about N70,000 is now about N160,000 and nobody has such money anymore. When I travel to Senegal to buy my goods, nobody knows that I am a celebrity because I work like a slave. Sometimes if I am in a hurry to return to Nigeria and they have not finished my works in Senegal, I would join them and begin to sew. If I had a sugar daddy somewhere, would I go through all this stress? I thank God that I am doing fine on my own. I have paid my dues. In fact, you cannot tell children of nowadays to sleep on the bare floor, they would not listen. When my daughter is around, she joins me and sleeps on the bare floor and same goes for my sister, Arike. I do all these because if I decide to always go to Lekki, I may not be able to save money. The truth of the matter is that I have paid my dues; I endure a lot even more than my age and stardom. If you work hard, God would surely reward your effort. I don’t have a sugar daddy anywhere. If I had a sugar daddy, people would know because they would want a child from me. No man in Nigeria would invest so much in you without expecting something in return,” she said.

The actress added that she is in a relationship at the moment and she feels blessed to have a partner who understands and appreciates her work.

“I have a boyfriend and I really appreciate him for being there. He is very understanding and nice. As a young woman, if you date a man that is always collecting money from you, the lady would not progress in life but when you are dating a man that is not after your money, whatever you get, people would notice that you are doing well. My boyfriend is a very busy person, so my busy schedule does not really affect him. As a celebrity, if you want to date a man, go for the busy ones. If you need to have time for yourself, both parties would clear their schedule. There was a time my boyfriend travelled for about two months and when he went to my house, my guard told him that I had not been home for weeks so he called me. I told him I was in my shop and he decided to have a video call with me. He was shocked the way I looked and had to ask why I looked terrible because I had been in the shop sleeping on the ground,” she said.

‘oh you are very pretty and this is me without makeup. Kayla Oniwo @KaylahOniwo

In an interview with Ndani TV, Kayla Oniwo sheds it all as she talked about her own insecurities
She said,
“The nature of my job has made makeup a part of my life. In my early twenties, i was not very interested in makeup because i would hear people make comments like, ‘oh you are very pretty and this is me without makeup. So it got to a point in my life where I didn’t really care very much for makeup but I’ve always liked makeup.”

“I used to like my nose and then all of a sudden, it just seemed like bigger…”

There was a sadness over me, a melancholy. @MahershalaAli

 photo mer0.jpg

The Moonlight star is on this week's cover of The Hollywood Reporter and he opens up about dealing with depression. Mahershala Ali has been this awards season's "IT" guy bagging nominations and wins in every awards ceremony.

 photo mer1.jpg
In the pages, the Moonlight star reveals he went into depression after his father left him and his mother. He adds
“After that, my uncle has told me, and even my grandmother, I went into a depression. I was borderline depressed for years. There was a sadness over me, a melancholy. That's always been a part of me — those are some of the things that lead you to the arts. It's something I still think about, not that it brings me sadness at this point; it's a void or fracture that happened so early that now I have to address it in the healthiest way. We're affected by things, but 20 or 30 years later we can choose to feel different about them. I understand: My mom and dad were kids. And I know that they loved me and did the best they could do.”
 photo mer2.jpg
The “Luke Cage” star also dishes on how he started opening up to different religions and beliefs outside of Christianity – the religion he was taught to believe growing up – and how his mother reacted his life change. He says his journey started when he went with his wife Amatus and her mom to a mosque in Philadelphia back when they were in college.
 photo mer3.jpg
He shares,
"I was around 23 or 24 years old when I couldn't ignore it anymore. I was going back in time and trying to find out why I believed what I believed, and it always ended with my mother, and with what I was told — not my own epiphany or studies."
"A week later, it was Christmas break for school, and I just happened to stay in New York. It was Dec. 31, 1999. I woke up and thought, 'I have to go to the mosque,' and I go to this mosque in Brooklyn, and it's packed. It's multiple stories, and I'm all the way in the back, and they do this sermon in English and in Arabic, and they go to make the prayer — 'In the name of God the gracious and the merciful. All praise is due to God alone' — and the same thing happens to me, and I just start crying. I couldn't wrap my head around it. It was beyond explanation. There was this connection that pierced through it all for me. And I felt like I was in the right place. And this guy touches me on the shoulder and says, 'Are you Muslim?' And I say, 'No.' And he goes, 'Do you want to be?' And I said, 'Yes.' So he took me up to the imam, and I made my pledge"
"When I told my mother, it was a little bit clumsy. I got on the phone and she wasn't excited about that, in large part because at that time she believed there's only one route to heaven, through Christianity. It probably took 10 or 12 years until she really embraced it. My mother is as spiritual as she is religious. She likes to have a good time, but she has an extraordinarily serious quality about her. She lives with the awareness that we are spiritual beings having a physical experience, that everything is about the next life. She basically told me she accepted that was my path, and she's been really supportive of that choice. We are in an extraordinarily positive place today."

“No, I just came to cheer my friends up” - How Lota Chukwu Got The Role Of ‘Kiki’ In Jenifa’s Diary @TheLotaChukwu @lotaelixir

The story of how Lota Chukwu aka Kiki in comedy series, Jenifa’s diary, is a graduate of Agricultural Economics and Extension from the University of Benin. She started acting in 2011 after she won a talent show in Benin.

Image result for Lota Chukwu twitter

In an interview with Tush Magazine, Kiki talked about how she got the opportunity when not expecting on the set of the comedy series.

She said;

It felt surreal and it took some getting used to. I went there that day, but not with the intention to audition; I went there to cheer my friends up. My friends and I were just about to finish Royal Arts, I saw one of my teachers there and he was like, “Go and write your name” and I said “No, I just came to cheer my friends up” and then my teacher said that if I didn’t go to sign up for the audition, I shouldn’t say Hi to him. My friends were like on number 20, 21, etc. and I was among the 80s. I ended up getting auditioned at about 4pm when almost everybody had left and as luck would have it, when it was my turn, Funke Akindele was already there to watch the auditions. And then I did it, and she gave me a call back and gave me the role I was to be playing.

On how she copes with the publicity, she said;
I remember one day I was in church, it was a Sunday service at House on the Rock. So the pastor said, “Turn to your neighbor and say Jesus is my advocate” and then the lady beside me just turned and said “Jesus is my…. ahn Kiki, how is you” and everybody just turned. There was a time I went to the cinema with a friend and I checked my mentions after the movie and saw a tweet that read “Ahn, Kiki is that our boo?” and I showed my friend and we laughed about it. Sometimes, I feel honored when it happens, that someone watches my show, someone feels the need to walk up to me to say “Hi.”
