Like father, like son........... Christian Combs and Sean “Diddy” Combs 4 VOGUE magazine’s December 2017 issue

 photo diddychance.jpg

Christian Combs and his father Sean “Diddy” Combs in VOGUE magazine’s December 2017 issue.

In their piece, both father and son speak on their love for diamonds and jewelry.
Sean “Diddy” Combs, who studied the jewelry collections of celebrities and royals and worked with Jacob the Jeweler and Lorraine Schwartz on his own custom pieces, further mythologizing this most mythic of stones. Lately, though, Combs has come around to see the power of modern, more restrained jewelry and gems. “They can be very minimalistic and sophisticated,” said Combs, a slight string of sparkling stones around his neck and a single pavé pinky ring on his finger. “Now it’s an accent instead of the whole story.”
The impresario is imparting this wisdom to his son, Christian, nineteen. “I love the shine it gave my body and skin,” says the younger Combs. “But I really want a Rolex—fully iced.”

Drunk man gets eel stuck up his anus

Eww! Drunk man gets eel stuck up his anus but refuses to tell doctors how it got there (video/photos)

The eel got stuck in the 40-year-old man's anus while he was drunk. He was taken for treatment at Nanchang University hospital in eastern China where x-rays revealed the creature had already made its way into his abdomen. Doctors said the Asian swamp eel had wriggled its way up the man’s body and was causing a PAIN..
Watch doctors remove the eel from the drunk man's body.

A scan and video footage showed the ill inside the body before doctors operated on him to remove it, and needless to say, the photos are so disgusting. This will not be the first time doctors in China have had to remove eels from people’s bodies. In April this year, a 49-year-old man from South China’s Guangdong Province had the same species of eel removed from his intestines after he shoved it up his anus "to cure constipation".

Bisi Alimi calls out Akpororo and Bovi over homophobic jokes

Bisi Alimi has called out  Akpororo and Bovi over their homophobic jokes AGAINST the LGBT community.
Bisi on IG shared the video below and wrote:
'So the so-called @officialbovi (I actually can’t find anything official about him) and sad face Akpororo have a video making round of their ‘comedy’. I had to put comedy in quote because to be honest the video I saw of them is of a tragedy. It is so bad and sad the audience forgot to laugh and if these people have comedy on their cv I think it’s time they look for another job. These two sad souls uses death and hyper sexualisation to drive home their bigotry and hatred of LGBT people. If you think being a bully is cool and funny, I wish you get bully. And Akpororo, wishing anal cancer on people is the lowest you can go. I hope you remember that at the centre of your jokes are human beings like you, it is so sad you hate yourself so much to hate other people. And Bovi, sexualising your kids and forcing them to say pussy and dick is not funny, it is actually an act of abuse. It is lame, stupid and sad. I am happy to help you guys write better comedy next time

Nigerians Are suffering – Bola Tinubu Tells President Buhari

#Africa

APC, a national leader of the All Progressive Congress in power, and a former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, on Thursday gave a lecture to President Muhammadu Buhari on how to use the rest of his mandate to advance the Nigeria. Mr. Tinubu took advantage of his position as keynote speaker at the presentation of a book ...“Making steady, Sustainable Progress for Nigeria’s Peace and Prosperity: A Mid-term Scorecard on the Muhammadu Buhari Administration”, which held at the State House conference centre, Abuja, to tell Mr. Buhari that although he has done well in his first two years, he still has a lot more to do.
Mr. Tinubu said Nigeria relies on crude oil which is expendable.
Mr. Tinubu advised the government to train its policies to ensure that when oil is finally no more, the country will not suffer.
The APC leader warned that his decision to offer the advice publicly should not be mistaken as evidence of “space” that exists between him and the president.
He said such representation will be “ false” and the news about it “will be fake”.
“What I proffer today is done in the spirit of utmost respect and affinity by one who wants the best for this government and for Nigeria. I say these things to encourage the government to achieve the greatness the times demand and of which this government is capable,” he said.
Mr. Tinubu said for Mr. Buhari to succeed, he must face and work on the economy.
He said the 2018 budget estimates submitted by the president last week has the potential to move the nation in the right direction.
He said the most important aspect of the budget is the capital expenditure badly needed for infrastructure.
“This investment means that the government fully recognises our economy must grow but that it cannot expand beyond the parameters of the infrastructural grid that serves it,” he said.
He also said “it is time to lead our people to a place where poverty and hunger become frequent and where prosperity and hope are the daily fare of the common man”.
Mr. Tinubu said as one of the most populous nations of the world, Nigeria cannot attain prosperity without first establishing a robust industrial capacity.
He also said developed countries such as England, Japan and China implemented key policies “to protect industries, promote employment and encourage exports. These nations represent the past, present and immediate future of national economic achievement”.
He said if Nigeria is to be a leader in the next phase of global economic history, it must learn from the successes of these countries.
Mr. Tinubu also said henceforth, Nigeria’s national industrial revolution “must be more than mere words”.
He said the government must invest in research and work closely with the private sector.
“Government policy must push and incentivize the private sector into the production of goods that will be demanded in the immediate future and for some time to come,” he said.
Mr. Tinubu said whatever the nation chose to produce, such products must be “things that the rest of the world wants to buy and not necessarily the things that we think are easier to do”.
He said Nigeria needs a national infrastructural plan that accommodates both industrial and agricultural activity. He said the “fulcrum of this plan must be continued progress in the achievement of adequate and affordable electric power, especially solar and winds”.
The APC leader also advised the president to help the common farmer by improving rural output and incomes.
To this end, he said Nigeria must return to the commodity exchange boards or “similar mechanisms to allow farmers to secure their income and hedge against loss”.
He said there should be an active and expanded agricultural loan scheme.
He said the government should also make business and consumer credit available by lowering interest rates.
The former Lagos governor also advised Mr. Buhari to “move towards true federalism by the balance of power and responsibility between the federal government and the states.
“In so doing, we attain the correct balance between our collective purpose on one hand and our separate grassroots realities on the other,” he said.
Mr. Tinubu also informed the president that a lot of Nigerians are suffering and that he needed to do more.
“Through no fault of their own, too many of our people are without.
“Too many parents cannot properly feed and clothe their precious children. Too many young adults exist in the void of joblessness, and too many of us do not have the resources to care for the elderly parents who once cared for them. We must cure these wrongs,” he said.
Speaking further, Mr. Tinubu said “If I were an architect, I would say that President Buhari has used the last two years to wisely lay the deep and wide foundation for a new building called a better Nigeria”. ... spill TEA.... Easy on Shade #jaiyeorie

‘I Don’t Know Why He’s At Crystal Palace’ – Willian Wants Loftus-Cheek Back At Chelsea

#Africa

Willian wants Ruben Loftus-Cheek to return to Chelsea after being credited to Crystal Palace after impressing England against Brazil at Wembley. A shortage of available midfielders prompted England coach Gareth Southgate to give Loftus-Cheek his international debut against Germany and the 21-year-old kept his spot for the Selecao match on Tuesday. Blues striker Willian, nominated as a substitute by Titus in the second half, was impressed by the impact of the young midfielder and thinks he could have a bright future at Stamford Bridge after already struggling for opportunities of the first team.
“I don’t know why he is at Crystal Palace now,” he told reporters. “I don’t know why.
“He has to come back!
“He is strong, he has quality. He has a great future.”
Loftus-Cheek made his senior debut for Chelsea in 2014 and has managed only six Premier League starts for the west London club, but he could yet revive his Blues fortunes following an assured introduction to international football. ... spill TEA.... Easy on Shade #jaiyeorie

It’s Reported Milan Have Agreed A Deal To Refinance Their Loan From Elliott Management

#Africa

The Rossoneri were taken over by a Chinese consortium in April, financed by a loan from the American hedge fund. Under the terms of the agreement, if the 303 million euros - about 350 million euros with interest - are not repaid in the year, Elliott can take over the management of the club and sell their assets to recover their money . As a result, owner Yonghong Li and his group Rossoneri Sport Investment have sought to refinance the transaction, and Corriere della Sera reports that an agreement is close with Highbridge, owned by JPMorgan Chase.
An eight week exclusivity deal has been agreed for due diligence, on a plan which would see the debt refinanced and paid over five years.
The new financing deal would be worth around €400m, with €250m falling on Rossoneri Sport Investment and €150m on the club.
In addition, there is the possibility of accessing a further €100m in the future if the club meets the targets set out in the business plan they’ve submitted to Highbridge.
The business plan is conservative in terms of sporting results, banking on the Europa League rather than the Champions League, but there are more ambitious targets for growth in China.
The deal has been in the works for some time, so there is confidence that an agreement can be signed before the eight week deadline.
If the deal is done, it would remove the spectre of Elliott from over the new owners and allow them more time to pursue their sporting and financial goals. ... spill TEA.... Easy on Shade #jaiyeorie

KKWPerfume......... Kim's Latest Perfume Was Inspired By Paris Robbery

#Africa

Her infamous 2015 Paris robbery left Kim Kardashian West was afraid of being raped and murdered after thieves stormed her hotel suite and escaped with millions of pounds of jewelry.  But two years later Kim revealed the unlikely news that the terrifying ordeal actually helped to inspire her latest venture.  Earlier this year, 37-year-old Kim announced that she would launch her eighth signature fragrance, KKW. The Crystal Gardenia scent comes in an unusual crystal-shaped bottle - and now Kim has explained the reason why.

Opening up to Entertainment Tonight, Kim said: "'After my whole Paris situation over a year ago, all my friends would come over and bring me healing crystals.

"I didn't know much about them. Enough people brought them over that I love the shape, I loved holding it, and I felt like, 'OK, this is it. I want something that I feel like calms me, is healing...' And I wanted the bottle, especially the smaller one."

Kim also disclosed that hubby Kanye West, who is known for his creative flair, had a say in the final product.

She said: "He walked by me in the bathroom and was like, 'What is that? I don't like that.'

"I was like, "This is one I was debating between and this is the one I wasn't liking." And he confirmed it. He said, "You know what, I really always want to smell your fragrance because if this is the one and I don't like it, it'll be a problem."'

Guests who attended Kim's recent baby show were treated to a bottle of her scent as part of their goody bag.

Latina high school teacher sentenced to 40 years in prison for threatening her students if they do not have sex with her

A teacher of Colombian origin was arrested for sending suggestive photos to his students and threatened to fail them if they refused to have sex with her. The woman, identified simply as Yokasta M., was arrested after a father of one of the students saw pictures of the teacher on her son's phone and informed the relevant authorities. It was in 2016. Shortly after she was exposed, her husband filed for divorce. The case was very sensational last year and made headlines. It was reported that the teacher selected boys, all under the age of 17, according to their appearance. An investigation has been ongoing since and a recent Channel 4 report from Nicaragua indicates that she was sentenced to 40 years in prison. Many people question the sentence, saying that 40 years is too long for the crime she has committed.

Why I Rejected Governor Fayose’s N52m SUV – Segun Oni

Congress of All Progressives, APC, Vice President (South) and Gov. candidate for governorship in Ekiti State, Engr. Segun Oni, explained why he recently rejected a gift N52 Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) from Governor Ayo Fayose. Speaking through the director general of his campaign organization (CSO), Dr. Ife Arowosoge, Oni said his refusal of Fayose's donation was made in the interest of workers and pensioners who had been suffering for several months. Fayose recently distributed new SUVs to all the former governors of Ekiti State, but ruled out his immediate predecessor and Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Kayode Fayemi. Fayose explained that the gesture was to show appreciation to the former governors for their sacrifices and contributions to the development of the state.
But Oni said giving out brand new SUVs was done at a wrong time, especially when civil servants and pensioners in Ekiti were being owed months of salaries and benefits.
He said: “Although Fayose meant well with the gift, but the question is: why does he have to wait till this time before giving out the cars?
“The former governors are entitled to it. It is their right and privilege; not only the car but even residential houses, even at the Federal Capital. Why then does he have to wait till when he has less than a year to leave the office before recognising them?
“The timing to giving out a jeep of about N52 million at the time state local government workers and pensioners are being owed for several months is what we quarrel with, and not the gift.”

International pressure increases election time in Liberia

#Africa

The European Union joined an international chorus on Tuesday calling on Liberian political parties and its electoral commission to put an end to "unnecessary delays" and elect a new president. A second round of voting to choose a successor to President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf was suspended indefinitely by the Supreme Court on Oct. 31 pending the resolution of a fraud complaint filed with the electoral commission.
Charles Brumskine, the Liberty Party candidate who came third in the first round of voting on October 10, filed the complaint, but was soon backed by the ruling Unity Party’s candidate, Vice-President Joseph Boakai, who placed second.
The European Union delegation to Liberia, in a statement, said it would “encourage all concerned to work constructively and in good faith to conclude the current complaints process without unnecessary delay.”
The runoff between former international footballer George Weah of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) and Boakai was originally set for November 7.
Hearings into the party’s grievances against the National Elections Commission (NEC) are ongoing with no decision expected for at least a week, after which the parties are expected to take the matter back to the Supreme Court.
International donors have poured billions of dollars into Liberia since Sirleaf was elected in 2005, and are nervously monitoring what should be the country’s first democratic transition in seven decades.
“The Liberian people demonstrated their commitment to democracy through the high turnout of voters on October 10 who cast their ballots in a peaceful atmosphere,” the EU statement added, calling for a process “which respects the will of the people.”
Battered by back-to-back civil wars between 1989 and 2003 and an Ebola crisis that killed thousands between 2014 and 2016, the election is considered a crucial test of the west African nation’s stability.
The EU declaration follows a joint statement from the African Union (AU), Economic Community of West African States (Ecowas) and Liberia’s United Nations peacekeeping mission which fired a warning shot to those calling for a re-run of the whole election, dragging the process into the new year.
“We cannot but express concern over the prospects of a significant delay in bringing the litigations to their closure, thereby thwarting completion of the election process before the constitutionally-mandated date of government transition in January 2018,” the statement released on Friday said.
The joint statement expressed hope that “the collective will and aspirations of the Liberian people will not be compromised for individual ambitions,” an apparent jab at the losing candidates. ... spill TEA.... Easy on Shade #jaiyeorie

Former FIFA official commits suicide as corruption trial begins

#Africa Former FIFA official commits suicide as corruption trial kicks off
Jorge Delhon, 52, who committed suicide after another businessman, Alejandro Burzaco, accused him in his bribery testimony of $ 2 million, reports the BBC. Delhon, who is the advocate for the Argentinian government's Football For All program, has reportedly been accepting $ 500,000 a year from 2011 to 2014 to guarantee the broadcast rights of international football matches..

"We paid bribe at Torneos to two officials that were running the Futbol Para Todos program," Burzaco, former chief executive officer of sports marketing company Torneos y Competencias, said as he took the stand against former FIFA bigwigs Manuel Burga, Jose Maria Marin and Juan Angel Napout during the second day of a Fifa corruption trial that began in New York this week.
Burzaco identified Delhon as the contracted lawyer for Football for all. Shortly after the trial, Delhon was found dead on rail tracks in the Lanus suburb of Buenos Aires after running in front of a train on the same day he was accused in court.
The driver of the train told police a man later identified as Delhon ran along the tracks in Lanus, Buenos Aires, the local police department said in a statement that called the death a suicide. The driver honked and tried to brake, but the man was run over, the statement said. ... spill TEA.... MOSOP condemns House Of Reps Rejection Of Motion To Honour Ken Saro-Wiwa, 8 Others

#Africa

The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) condemned the House of Representatives of Nigeria for rejecting a motion to honor Ken Saro-Wiwa and eight others. Saro-Wiwa was executed along with eight others on 10 November 1995 after being convicted of murder. Lawmakers said it would be inappropriate to award Saro-Wiwa the honor, arguing that its execution was "duly taken into account and approved by the government". Representative Benjamin Wayo (Benue-APC) said: "While I agree that the environmental situation in the Niger Delta is pitiful, we must be careful in adopting the prayer asking for a minute of silence for the late environmentalist.
“Section 33 (1) of the Nigerian Constitution says every person has right to life. It is only permissible to be taken through constitutional means, just as it was done in this case.
“Therefore, it will be out of order to observe a minute’s silence for Saro-Wiwa under this circumstance.”
Similarly, Rep. Ali Madaki (Kano-APC) appealed to members to be cautious not to breach procedures regarding government’s pronouncements.
Rep. Onyemaechi Mrakpor (Delta-PDP) said that observing one-minute silence for the late environmentalist or not doing so would not change the narrative that the pollution and infrastructure decay in the Niger Delta region have not abated.
He said, “The things Ken Saro-Wiwa stood for are still there, as they have not been addressed. There is no clean water to drink in the Niger Delta and environmental pollution is still there.
“It is not all about one-minute silence. We should be concerned about enhancing the environment in the Niger Delta region,” Mrakpor said.
Reacting, Fegalo Nsuke, MOSOP Publicity Secretary, in a statement on Thursday said the people were shocked at the position taken by the Nigerian lawmakers as it not only misled the public but also placed a big question on members’ perception of law and justice.
It read, ”It is indeed pitiable that today’s parliamentarians do not remember that Saro–Wiwa was not only executed, his body was also burnt with acid. To these parliamentarians, could this shame be part of their understanding of “duly considered and endorsed”?
”It is quite contemptuous that these comments are coming from direct beneficiaries of Saro-Wiwa’s execution. We recall that the “Ogoni 9″ executions led to Nigeria’s suspension from the Commonwealth and triggered international pressure forcing Nigeria to return to democratic rule in 1999.
”For the avoidance of any ambiguity, MOSOP is less concerned about ‘a minute silence” in honor of Saro-Wiwa” and the other 8 victims. MOSOP is however concerned about the seeming endorsement of injustice by the Nigerian house of representatives when it noted that the executions were “duly considered and endorsed”.
”It is regrettable that a sham is been considered to have passed due process. A trial in which the conclusion was decided before the trial commenced, a trial in which the victims were denied every right to fair hearing including the right to appeal.
”We consider these comments a national embarrassment and on behalf of the Ogoni ethnic nationality profoundly express our indignation of this discrimination and injustice which is been prosecuted against our people.
”However, we commend Hon. Kingsley Chinda (PDP – Rivers) and all other legislators who supported this motion for their good intentions in recognizing the sacrifices and contributions of Ken Saro-Wiwa to the enthronement of democracy and for a free and just Nigerian society.
”We want to state unequivocally that the 1995 hanging of Ken Saro-Wiwa and 8 others is not only a permanent stain on the conscience of our nation and our claims to being a free society, it is a national shame that the Nigerian government would have been curious to erase by addressing the issues that led to its occurrence viz-a–viz the complaints of the Ogoni people as contained in the Ogoni Bill of Rights.
”The 1995 hangings is one of the darkest and most painful history of the Ogoni people. But even in death, we still hold Ken Saro-Wiwa in very high esteem and as a people with very long memory, we cannot so easily forget the circumstances in which the Nigerian authorities killed these innocent 9 on November 10, 1995. The Ogoni people reject every mockery of their sacrifices for the people.
”Indeed, we have been severely battered, not only by the 1995 hangings, the scars of a series of state sponsored repression which came with it remain with us till date. We however do not want to be convinced that a civilian parliament that should stand for the people will make us feel,, while we still nurse our injuries, that we are hated, rejected and condemned in our own country.
”The House’ position on the execution of our leaders in 1995 indeed frightens us and re-enforces our fears that Nigeria is not seriously committed to social justice and human rights.” ... spill TEA.... Easy on Shade #jaiyeorie

Leonardo Da Vinci Painting Of Jesus Sells For Record $450 Million

#Africa
A 500-year-old painting believed to be by Leonardo da Vinci sold for $450.3 million in New York on Wednesday, blazing a new world record for the most expensive work of art sold at auction, Christie’s said.
“Salvator Mundi” or “Savior of the World,” which depicts Jesus Christ, more than doubled the previous record of $179.4 million paid for Pablo Picasso’s “The Women of Algiers (Version O)” in New York in 2015.
Lost for years only to resurface at a regional auction in 2005, it is one of fewer than 20 Da Vinci paintings generally accepted as being from the Renaissance master’s own hand, according to Christie’s.
All the others are held in museum or institutional collections.
Wednesday’s price was all the more extraordinary given that the oil on panel fetched only 45 British pounds in 1958, at the time believed to have been a copy, before subsequently disappearing for years.
Dated to around 1500, the work sold after 19 minutes of frenzied bidding — an incongruous Old Master in Christie’s evening postwar and contemporary sale, which attracts the biggest spenders in the high-octane world of international billionaire art collectors.
Christie’s declined to identify the buyer, other than to confirm that bids came from “every part of the world.”
The price could call into question a legal suit lodged by its Russian seller, who accused a Swiss art dealer in Monaco of allegedly overcharging him when he bought the work for $127.5 million in 2013.
The value of private sales are rarely known, but a Willem de Kooning and a Gauguin were previously thought the most expensive, sold in 2015 separately for $300 million each, according to US media reports.
Auctioneer Jussi Pylkkanen opened bidding at $75 million, pulling in 45 bids from clients on the phone and in the room.
Whoops and applause rippled through the packed room as bids quickly escalated into unchartered territory, coming down to two head-to-head rivals on the telephone.
Pylkkanen eventually hammered the painting at $450 million. The final price came to $450.3 million including the buyer’s premium.
Even discounting any commission, that is a tidy profit for Dmitry Rybolovlev, the boss of soccer club AS Monaco, who last bought the painting in 2013.
The oligarch has accused Yves Bouvier of conning him out of hundreds of million dollars by overcharging him on a string of deals, including on the Da Vinci, and pocketing the difference.
Bouvier bought the work at Sotheby’s for $80 million in 2013. He resold it within days to the Russian tycoon, for $127.5 million.
He has denied any wrongdoing.
Christie’s declined to comment on the controversy and had valued the painting pre-sale at $100 million.
So huge was interest that nearly 30,000 people flocked to see the painting at Christie’s showrooms in Hong Kong, London, San Francisco and New York, the auction house said.
The work was exhibited at The National Gallery in London in 2011, after years of research trying to document its authenticity after it was found, mistaken for a copy, in a US auction in 2005.
Christie’s experts said the painting’s rarity was difficult to overstate, calling it the “Holy Grail” for auction specialists.
For years it was presumed to have been destroyed, emerging only in 2005 when it was purchased from a US estate.
“It’s an extraordinary price for an extraordinary painting. Leonardo inspired generations and continues to inspire today,” said Francois de Poortere, head of the Old Masters department at Christie’s.
“He was a genius of his time and people still see him as that. It’s an extraordinary feeling to see the magnetism around this painting.”
The painting depicts a half-length figure of Jesus, holding a crystal orb in his left hand as he raises his right in benediction.
Christie’s says it belonged to Charles I, after possibly being made for the French royal family and taken to England by Queen Henrietta Maria when she married the English monarch in 1625. ... spill TEA.... Easy on Shade #jaiyeorie
