Dr. Dre’s estranged wife, Nicole Young, is now making domestic abuse claims amid her divorce from the music mogul. She also breaks down her monthly expenses to explain why she’s requesting $2 million a month in spousal support. Get it all inside…
More details about Dr. Dre and Nicole Young’s divorce have been revealed.
Rumors about the music mogul being violent and abusive towards womenh been circulating for decades. But none of the accusations ever came from his wife until now. She’s no longer keeping silent about the alleged abuse she endured at the hands of husband for the last 24 years.
While she didn’t expose a full timeline of abuse over their marriage in the legal docs, she did note an incident that allegedly went down a few months ago.
On April 1st, Nicole claims Dr. Dre went off during a drunken rant inside their West L.A. home.
"F*** you. F*** you. Get the f*** out. Get the f*** out. Go to Malibu," he allegedly yelled at her.
Next, she claims he threatened her.
"Do not spend one more cent ... period,”she said he told her. “You can't be mean and disrespectful and spend my hard-earned money. F*** that!!! Yes that's a threat ... I'm putting the beach house up for sale next week ..."
She narrated an encounter with Dre's brother-in-law that left her sacred. She said his brother-in-law came to the Malibu home to “pick up his Glock.” She didn’t give it to him because she said she feared Dre and that he had a "history of violence and coercive control, both before and during the marriage."
No details were revealed, but she mentioned menacing texts messages from Dre after they separated. In one, he allegedly said, "Why are you ignoring me? Why are you ignoring me ... should I come see you?" She said the text was "frightening" and instilled fear in her.
Nicole filed for divorce from Dr. Dre Dre (real name Andre Romelle Young) in June 2020. She’s requesting $2 million ($1,936,399 to be exact) monthly in temporary spousal support while they sort through divorce proceedings and she wants him to pay $5 million in legal fees.
In the legal docs, Nicole down her monthly expenses:
Laundry and cleaning $10,000 a month
Clothes $135,000 a month
Education (tuition and living expenses) $60,000 a month
Entertainment $900,000 a month
Charitable contributions $125,000 a month
Mortgage. $100,000 a month
Telephone, cell phone, e-mail $20,000 a month
In August, Nicole filed documents claiming she was forced to sign under duress on their wedding day. 2 years later, Dre supposedly told her he was ashamed he made her sign the prenup and allegedly tore it up in front of her.
It was previously reported that their prenuptial agreement could possibly mean Nicole will NOT be entitled to half of her husband’s $800 million fortune. However, some courts will have to decide if a prenup stale or invalid after 10 years if it isn't updated.
