Shania Twain Opens Up In Tell-all Documentary About Her Husband’s Devastating Affair With Her Best Friend #Beyonce #Sheggz #gistloverblog #ASUU Emmanuel Adekunle Bella Doyin Giddyfia Naira Marley Rema #BBNaji

In a candid documentary, Canadian singer-songwriter Shania Twain discusses her husband's terrible affair with her closest friend.

The 56-year-old mother of one poured her heart out in the Netflix documentary.

The "That Don't Impress Me Much" singer admitted that learning of the affair caused her a lot of pain. She has encouraged many women around the world with her wonderful vocals and thought-provoking lyrics.

Shania claimed that because of the song's inspirational lyrics, which have served as a role model for women all over the world, it was particularly difficult for her to accept the news that her ex-husband, Robert "Mutt" Lange, had an affair with her personal secretary, who was also her best friend.

In the trailer for her upcoming documentary, the singer compared the experience to "losing her parents."

Reflecting back on what is now history, Shania also felt at the time that she “had lost her voice forever”.

Shania discovered that Robert had been unfaithful and had been having an affair with her then-personal assistant, best friend and “confidant” Marie-Anne Thiébaud in 2008.

Speaking about the situation with Oprah Winfrey previously, Shania told the host:

“I said, ‘Marie-Anne, don’t you think my husband is acting strange?”

“And she said, ‘No, I don’t see anything strange.'”

After 14 years of marriage, Robert who shares a son, Eja with Shania broke off their union and didn’t give her an explanation. Her friend Marie-Anne also never revealed the truth to her.

Shania was later informed of the infidelity by Marie-Anne’s then-husband, Frédéric Thiébaud – who had found out himself.

Speaking about breaking the news, he explained:

“I said, ‘guys, now you have to tell her. This is ridiculous. You owe her that.'”

After Robert and Marie-Anne refused to confess to Shania, Frédéric decided to get in touch with the hitmaker.

Shania and Frédéric bonded over their shared heartbreak. They then became close, struck up a romantic relationship, and were married just a few years later.

Speaking of their newfound love on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Shania said:

“We were a support to each other and really found something beautiful in the end and unexpected.”

‘Reduce Sex Partners To Prevent Monkeypox’ -WHO Issues Concrete Recommendations For Those Most At Risk #Beyonce #Sheggz #gistloverblog #ASUU Emmanuel Adekunle Bella Doyin Giddyfia Naira Marley Rema #BBNaija

#jaiyeorie

Approximately 98 percent of reported instances involved males who had sex with many other men, according to WHO data released on Wednesday.

The WHO requested that this group temporarily restrict the number of sexual partners, think twice before having sex with any new partners, and exchange contact information with any new partners in order to facilitate follow-up, if necessary.

The WHO emphasized, however, that anyone can contract the disease.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the director-general of the WHO, said:

“In addition to the transmission through sexual contact, monkeypox can also be spread in households through close contact between people, such as hugging and kissing, and on contaminated towels or bedding.”

Due to an increase in monkeypox cases in many countries, the World Health Organization has for the first time made specific guidelines about sexual behavior for people who are most vulnerable.

He continued by saying that if nations, communities, and people became informed, took dangers seriously, and took the necessary actions to restrict transmission and protect vulnerable populations, the outbreak could be prevented.

According to Ghebreyesus, there are still unanswered issues surrounding the efficiency of the monkeypox vaccine or who exactly needs to receive it.

The health organization does not recommend mass vaccination, but “targeted vaccination for those exposed to someone with monkeypox, and for those at high risk of exposure, including health workers, some lab workers, and those with multiple sexual partners.’’

More than 18,000 cases from 78 countries have been reported to the WHO, with more than 70 per cent of infections recorded in European countries, many of which had previously known virtually no monkeypox cases.

On July 23, the WHO declared the monkeypox outbreak an “emergency of international concern.’’

WHO Technical Lead on Monkeypox, Dr Rosamund Lewis, said at a press briefing at the UN health agency’s headquarters in Geneva that countries should act fast to stop the spread of the virus.

In 2022, there have been more than 16,000 confirmed cases of monkeypox in more than 75 countries. Lewis said the real number was probably higher.

Lewis pointed out that in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, several thousand cases were suspected, but testing facilities are limited.

“The global dashboard did not include suspected cases,” she said.

Some 81 children under the age of 17 were reported as having been infected globally, she added, with the majority of cases being among young men, with the median age being 37.

First identified in monkeys, the virus is transmitted chiefly through close contact with an infected person.

Until 2022, the virus which causes Monkeypox has rarely spread outside Africa where it is endemic. But reports of a handful of cases in Britain in early May signalled that the outbreak had moved into Europe.

Lewis pointed out that stigma and discrimination must be avoided, as that would harm the response to the disease.

“At the moment the outbreak is still concentrated in groups of men who have sex with men in some countries, but that is not the case everywhere.

“It is really important to appreciate also that stigma and discrimination can be very damaging and as dangerous as any virus itself,”

she said.

Monkeypox could cause a range of signs and symptoms, including painful sores. Some people developed serious symptoms that need care in a health facility.

Those at higher risk for severe disease or complications include pregnant women, children, and immunocompromised persons.

Lewis said WHO was working with the Member States and the European Union on releasing vaccines, and with partners to determine a global coordination mechanism.

She stressed that mass vaccination was not required, but the WHO had recommended post-exposure vaccination.

Vaccine sharing should be done according to public health needs, country by country and location by location. Not all regions had the same epidemiology, she explained.

Lewis stressed that countries with manufacturing capacity for smallpox and Monkeypox diagnostics, vaccines or therapeutics should increase production.

Countries and manufacturers should work with WHO to ensure they are made available based on public health needs, solidarity and at a reasonable cost to countries where they were most needed.

Lewis explained that some 16.4 million vaccines were currently available in bulk but needed to be finished. The countries currently producing vaccines are Denmark, Japan, and the United States.

She stated that the current recommendation for persons with Monkeypox was to isolate and not travel until they recovered; contact cases should be checking their temperature and monitoring possible other symptoms for the period of nine to 21 days. She added:

“When someone is vaccinated it takes several weeks for the immune response to be generated by the body.”

According to Lewis, the name “Monkeypox” is already present in the International Classification of Diseases, and a process had to be followed in order to potentially change its name.

Chief Adulphus Ikechukwu Igwe and his gorgeous wife, 57-year-old Mrs. Gladys Ihechinyelum Igwe, were married at St. Bartholomew Anglican Church in Asata, Enugu, on August 4, 1984, 37 years ago.

Seven children, four girls and three boys, were born to the inhabitants of the Ojebeogene Clan, Ubiagu Okpatu in the Udi Local Government of Enugu State, and Amagu Ifite Okpatu, who both reside in Enugu.

While Chief Adulphus, 64, is a general contractor and a politician, Madam Gladys is a civil servant. They spoke with DailySun, on their marital journey which has been blessed with children and grandchildren.

You have been married for about 38 years now. But looking at the two of you, one would think you just got married. What is the secret?

Chief Adulphus:  I thank God that the Bible said he who finds a wife finds a good thing. I am so lucky that by the time I got my wife I knew that she was God’s allocation to me. I just knew that she is my own. So as I am talking to you, it is like we haven’t started. I must be honest with you. I can’t give her to anybody.

Madam Gladys: Jesus is the secret because our marriage was ordained by God. We started in Christ. I could remember one of the days we were attending a marriage course, late Rev. Okeke of St. Bartholomew Anglican Church, Ogui, Enugu, said that marriage does not need a third party. He gave us that teaching. We started to put it into practice. So since then whatever trial that came to our marriage we presented it before God. And He has always shown us the way out.

Has it always been all roses? Can you remember the first misunderstanding in this marriage and how did you handle it?

Madam Gladys: Well, I can say that my first misunderstanding in our marriage was not with my husband but with his sister. I thank God because but for God’s grace, I would not have been alive today. My husband was trying to be a mediator between us. He could not drive his sister away; he could not leave his wife.

So, he was in the middle. The first day I came into his house, he said: ‘this is the only sister I have.’ He said she cannot leave the house unless she got married. He said that I should bear that cross. So whenever trial came through that girl I remembered that word.

I said, ‘God, is that how marriage is?’ I said no problem. I started enduring and kept enduring. She did a lot of things to me but for God, I wouldn’t have forgiven her. That was my first misunderstanding and after then and up till today I don’t think I have had any misunderstanding with my husband that we could not resolve.

Chief Adulphus: She said it all. Even I didn’t remember that side. In fact, my sister became a test to us because of what she did. How she followed issues and the experience we encountered was unbelievable. It is only God that helped us. That’s why you cannot find disagreement between us.

We made sure we followed Christ the way He said: ‘don’t keep your annoyance or disagreement to the following day.’ At a time, her own sister became another problem. Again, we understood that it was another temptation and we disregarded her actions.

So how did you meet your wife?

Chief Adulphus: It is a great testimony. That is why I said she is a gift. I had many girls I thought I was going to get married to. In fact, one of them, I started renovating her parents’ house at Iva Valley where I lived. But one thing or the other would bring disagreement. I was living in a one-room apartment. One day, we went to the village of the girl I wanted to marry in Amaukwu. She is late now.

My friend, Justus Onuke, said to let us go to their village, Amagu Ifite Okpatu in Udi Local Government Area. On getting to Amagu, he said he would like to go and greet his father. It was while he was trying to do that that we saw my wife. She was going to a Block Rosary.

She was rushing and I said: ‘Justus, see that girl going?’ He asked: do you like her? I said that it was not only about liking her, that I would marry her. I didn’t know they were living together. Their boundary is a local fence.

After going to Justus’ house, he said: ‘let us go and greet the mother of the girl you said you like.’ We went. I told Justus that I would marry her and asked how to go about it. Fortunately, her elder brother was my friend. He said she is the younger sister to Tai (Titus). I called Tai and we talked.

Before your people went to her place, did you talk with her to profess your love?

Chief Adulphus: I didn’t. You know, in our own time, it is not like now that things have changed and there is all manner of nonsense everywhere. It’s my in-law, Tai, that’s why I don’t play with that man. I won’t forget what he did for me. At a time, there was one man that is rich. He was a blacksmith.

He was interested in marrying her. And, it was like we were competing. But Tai liked me more than that man. So he played the game for me. He went to my mother-in-law and tried to carry her along. My father-in-law was interested in the other man.

But Tai came to me one day and said: ‘I want you to know that you are going to marry my sister. She likes you.’ So by the time I asked her: will you like to be with me, everything had been concluded. They have talked to her about me.

Where did you meet him the first time? And, how did you know he wanted to marry you? What was your reply?

Madam Gladys: Actually, before that time, he had approached me. I told him that he should put it in prayer. And secondly, I would only go where my parents asked me to go. I said that I could not say yes or no. It is my parents that would say ‘go.’ I said that I would not disobey them. I said anywhere they say I would go, I would go.

So that is how the marriage started. The first time he approached my father, he refused. He came back to me at Aguabo. I was staying with my brother and going to school at Commercial School, Awuja. He asked what my mind was. I said I cannot go where my parents had not approved.

If my parents are not in support I cannot. Just put it in prayer. He appealed to me to please wait for him to try his best to convince my father. It took a long time, I mean, nearly one year before they could convince my father. Within me, I was praying.

I said: ‘God, I cannot force myself on this man unless my parents asked me to go. I cannot disobey my parents.’ So, after consultations and meeting people that know my father, he went to so many places to meet people until my mother stepped in. And, in their meetings, I never showed up.

I stepped aside. My parents would argue about the matter until they agreed. I can say it is the work of God. He intervened before my father accepted.

You’ve mentioned one blacksmith that was also interested. Were there other oppositions on your way then?

Chief Adulphus: Some of her relations did not agree initially. But because God was on my side, He melted the heart of my father-in-law. My mother-in-law was so much interested in me. She was the one who made it possible because my brother-in-law was using her to talk to my father-in-law. By the time he agreed and saw reasons for loving me and having me as a son-in-law, things changed.

You said before you met your wife you were already renovating the house of a would-be-in-law. But when you saw your wife, you changed your mind. What was it that you saw in her that killed the affection and love for the other lady?

Chief Adulphus: Yes, there were many ladies around. But what tied me down to her is her simplicity and humility. And when you see her, you would know that she is a child of God. She loves God. I didn’t see her as someone with many friends. All this gossip team, she was always going to church which is my lifestyle. And she has a shape I like. She is fair in complexion.

Before him, there might have been other suitors. Why did you decide to go with him?

Madam Gladys: During that time I did not have friends because I am the only daughter of my parents. They had two sons. As I grew up, I decided to assist my mother as I did not want her to suffer. I started at the age of 14 to struggle. I started primary school. At that time, parents were not training their female children. So, it was like an adult school.

It was my mother that trained me in primary school. I was going to primary school and selling okpa. I went to school three times in a week, at times twice. This was in order to assist my mother because she suffered so much. We are from a polygamous family.

My mother was the first. But the second wife was somehow lazy. My resolve to assist my mother kept me busy so much that I didn’t have friends. So, I did not have anybody in mind that would marry me. The other man he talked about, it was my aunt that wanted me to marry him because he is a family friend to them. I didn’t have anybody in mind.

You had a white wedding. What can you remember about that usually joyous event, and when was it?

Madam Gladys: That was on August 4, 1984. That day, I was very happy that I was wedded, that I was not pregnant before my wedding. My sister-in-laws gathered and made things smooth. I was just excited that day.

Where did your wedding take place?

Chief Adulphus: We were wedded at St. Barth’s Cathedral by late Ven. JDJ Onyereri. Our wedding is another testimony because it was at the heart of the rainy season. It was one of the times I tried God and He showed me He was indeed God and there is no reason I should not continue to worship and serve Him till I meet Him.

My father-in-law had a land case against a very rich relation. And, the judgment was to be delivered the same week as our wedding. My in-law said to me that he won’t be happy coming to the wedding if he loses the case. I said okay let us pray because that was almost the time I repented newly,

I said: ‘God, let there be no rain and my in-law won the case. The judgment was given in his favour and there was no rain until we went home after the reception.

Today, cases of divorce have risen to the high heavens. From your experience, what is the cause and how can we curb it?

Chief Adulphus: The devil is responsible for the rising cases of divorce. Immediately, you wed and promise God that you want to marry one wife, that is the time the devil would come to torment you.

That is the time you see a girl you chased that rejected you making herself available. But if you know the God to whom you made the vow, you will be focused. My advice is that new couples should be in a covenant relationship with God.

Madam Gladys: I think that the main cause of rampant divorce is greed.  Love of money and wanting what you cannot ordinarily get is one of the causes. Many people want to be like someone else. But don’t try to another person. Be yourself.

More especially, know God and remember the vow you took before Him that it is for better or worse, richer or poorer until death does you part. If you maintain that oath you took at the altar, I think the marriage will last. I took a decision that nothing would make me leave my marriage or compromise. So once we are contented with what we have, I think the marriage will last.

What will be your advice to our spinsters looking forward to getting married?

Madam Gladys: My advice is to know God and ask Him to give you your own husband. Don’t marry another person’s husband because you saw that he has money. The most important thing is that love is there; money is not everything.

What do you have to say to bachelors wanting to get married?

Chief Adulphus: They should, first of all, have a covenant relationship with God. Do whatever He asks you to do and do not compare yourself with others for you do not know where they are coming from. Carnal comparison is the most dangerous thing that can come into marriage.

What You Should Know About The Electricity Bill Senate Just Passed Nengi destiny etiko Level 2 #Beyonce #Sheggz #gistloverblog #ASUU Emmanuel Adekunle Bella Doyin Giddyfia Naira Marley Rema #BBNajia Televison Fulani #30BG #Drake

#jaiyeorie
The Electricity Bill, 2022, which follows examination of a report by the Committee on Power, was approved by the senate on Wednesday, July 20.

Senator Gabriel Suswam (PDP, Benue North East), the chairman of the committee, spoke in favor of the measure and claimed that it would provide an ideal institutional and legal framework for leveraging the meager gains made during the privatization phase of Nigeria's electric power sector, among other things.

PUNCH.

The chairman also said that it would improve utilisation of generated power through increased investments in new technologies to enhance transmission and distribution of generated power to minimise aggregate value chain loses.

This according to him, will “reinvigorate the Institutional framework for the reform of the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry initiated and implemented by the Federal Government.”

He also said provisions of the bill seek to promote policies and regulatory measures that would ensure the expansion of power transmission networks in Nigeria in order to address any imbalance in the existing transmission infrastructure.

Suswam concluded by saying the bill would stimulate policy and regulatory measures to scale up efficient power generation, transmission and distribution capabilities of the sector; as well as address technological limitations and outdated infrastructure that are responsible for value chain loses.

When Senate President, Ahmad Lawan sought to know the role and operational capacity of banks that had taken over distribution companies (discos) indebted to them, Suswam responded by saying the take-over of entities (Discos) by banks was duly carried out in collaboration with the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NER) and Bureau of Public Enterprise (BPE).

He noted that there’s a transitional process put in place during the take-over of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company by the United Bank for Africa to ensure efficiency in service delivery.

The Benue lawmaker who said such transitional process usually involves the invitation of new investors to scale up generation and distribution capacities, added that the Federal Government had disbursed $100 million (USD) to Siemens to kickstart transmission in the distribution end of the power sector.

Senator Ahmad Babba-Kaita (PDP – Katsina North) on his own part said the faulty way in which Discos were created was largely responsible for their inability to live up to expectations.

He advised the federal government to ensure a transparent process in the selection of companies to take-over power generation and distribution across the country.

Deputy Chief Whip, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi (APC – Niger North) also said that the aspect of renewable energy in the bill was given prominence amidst the energy mix.

The Electricity Bill, 2022, after a clause-by-clause consideration of the Committee’s report by the Committee of the Whole, was passed by the upper chamber.

Speaking after the bill was passed, Lawan said;

“Because of its importance and sensitivity, we would like to see a quick concurrence by the House of Representatives, because time is of essence as far as Nigeria is concerned when you talk about electricity and energy supplies in Nigeria.

So, we would like to see that this bill is fully processed in the National Assembly and sent to the Executive side of government for the consideration for assent by Mr. President.

We believe that this piece of legislation can change the fortunes of the electricity industry in Nigeria for the better.”

Bashir El-wife, Rufai's the mother of twin sons, gave the advice on her Instagram page after learning that a nanny she had recently recruited had tested positive for an unspecified illness.

Halima claims that despite the doctor's confirmation of the ailment, the nanny continued to deny having it.
When pressed further, the nanny acknowledged having the condition for seven years.

We tested her, came back positive and she was pretending like she didn’t know she had it. After pressing on the matter, she finally admitted that she’s had it for 7 years. Btw this isn’t the first nanny we are getting like this. So please, run these tests before hiring anyone. Be safe.”

The King of Boys star revealed that she left her mouthwatering acting job, which was fetching her over N5 million within months — during the early 2000s — for menial jobs in England.

Explaining further, the film star said while in the UK, she worked multiple “7.5 pounds per hour” jobs like cleaning, cooking, and mopping office floors to make ends meet.

According to the screen goddess, during a visit to her children abroad, she noticed that they lacked motherly touch and so, she decided to sacrifice her career, the fame and stardom here in Nigeria just to be with them.

She told the host, Chude Jideonwo:

“I went back to England and noticed the kids lack motherly touch. Then I moved to England and forgot stardom. Now, all of them are working and they appreciate me for my sacrifice.

I was practically living in Enugu where I was shooting a movie, ‘Christ In Me’. After the movie, fame came. So I was given another film job. I got over 10 movie jobs so I was stationed in Enugu.

And in one location, I spent one week. In that one week, I was on N800,000 and that was in the year 2000. So like that, when I was going back to Lagos, I had over N5 million within how many months. The money was blowing.

So I left that for 7 pounds per hour jobs in England. Then before I could make 1000 pounds I will have to work extra hard. There is nothing this woman cannot do because I know what is called dignity in labour. I will sweep anywhere so far it will put food on my table, cloth on my children, and shelter on my head.

I swept, cooked, washed, mopped, cleaned offices. Yes, I did all those. The other thing is I wasn’t sleeping. On the train or bus, I make sure I wear my uniform with the name of the company like that.

Then you hear Nigerians say ‘She isn’t the one’, ‘Sola Sobowale, no she isn’t the one’. I will then tell them it’s me, my name is Sola Sobowale, so they will ask what I’m doing here and I ask them the same question. I made a lot of friends. Now, I’m happy because it’s now history.”

The mother of three also talked about why she made sure her children studied abroad. According to her, she had initially wanted her children to attend one of the top varsities in Nigeria but was discouraged due to the incessant strikes by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

The movie star who began her story by shedding some tears explained how important her kids and their education were to her. She also revealed that her father was a principal while her mother was a headmistress.

“Children are not asked to be born. The moment you decide that you want to have children, then you must be ready to take full responsibility for those children.

They are beautiful creatures, you don’t bring them into this world to suffer, you don’t bring them into this world for anybody to take care of them, you brought them, then stay with them and do the work. I had my children.

My father is a retired principal, and my mother retired as a headmistress may their souls rest in peace, I know what they did for me and my siblings and I know what is called education, that is the only legacy you can give your children.

I know the universities, I know how they select people, and I looked and I said so my children would either go to university in Ife, University of Ibadan or Lagos, but unfortunately, today strike, tomorrow strike so the course of three years, they end up using six years, so I said, no, if I can be paying this much in primary and secondary, I’m not going to throw that in University so let my children leave Nigeria and that was why I moved my children from Nigeria to London.”
