Rinuola, one of the promoters of the #EndSARS protests, reacts to the decision of the Central Bank of Nigeria, to freeze her account and those of 18 others who promoted and received cash donations for the #EndSARS protests.

In a tweet posted on her handle, Rinu who is a member of the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry on Police brutality wrote

Former BBNaija 2020 lockdown housemate, Vee, reacted to the concerns raised by some of her fans remind her that she hasn't secured an endorsement deal since the show ended in September 2020.

 Vee took to her Twitter account to congratulate Nengi on her recent appointment as the SSA to Bayelsa state governor, Duoye Diri, and face of Bayelsa state.  Twitter trolls referenced that she is yet to bag any ambassadorial deal since she left the house.

One of her fans berated the trolls for attacking and mocking her. According to the fan, people should stop being weird and insensitive.

 

“I feel it’s weird & absolutely insensitive to keep telling her hers is coming soon when she congratulates her friends. It’s really awkward, stop it pls. Say it in your mind. If you are that concerned, PRAY FOR HER!”

 

Reacting to the tweet, the BBNaija finalist said people are trying to attach her success to signing contracts for public approval, but it doesn’t work that way.

In her words,

“I really wish people understood how these things work. It seems as though people want to attach my success to signing (sometimes strange) contracts for public approval and praise. Anyway sha, the game is the game.”

CBN obtains order to freeze Pamilerin’s and 19 other EndSARS promoter’s account

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN has filed an ex-parte suit to freeze bank accounts of 20 social media influencers, Pamilerin inclusive, over-involvement in the EndSARS protest.

The order was pursuant to a motion ex-parte filed by the CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, before a Federal High Court granted by Justice Ahmed Mohammed.

The suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1384/2020 listed the 20 defendants as – Bolatito Oduala, Chima Ibebunjoh, Mary Kpengwa, Gatefield Nigeria Limited, Saadat Bibi, Bassey Israel, Wisdom Obi, Nicholas Osazele, Ebere Idibie, Akintomide Yusuf, Uhuo Promise, Mosopefoluwa Odeseye, and Adegoke Pamilerin Emmanuel.

Others include Umoh Ekanem, Babatunde Segun, Mulu Teghenan, Mary Oshifowora, Winifred Jacob, Victor Solomon, and Idunu Williams.

The defendants’ accounts with the following banks, Access Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank, Fidelity Bank, First Bank, United Bank for Africa, and Zenith Bank will be withheld for a period of 90 days until investigations are concluded.

32-year-old Ndidi Odo, wife of a Keke driver is pictured with her quintuplets, 4 boys and a girl, named Akachukwu, Chiemelie, Chidiomimi, Chinweolu and Ezinwanne.

  Nididi and her husband Abuchi Odo, a native of Okpaligbo-Ogu in Nsukka, Enugu State, welcomed the quintuplets in 2018 at God's Mercy Hospital, Obiuno, in Otolo Nnewi, Anambra State.

 

The couple have four children (three females and a male) before the arrival of the quintuplets. 

Nnewi businessman and philanthropist, Sir Lous Carter Onwugbenu had offset their hospital bill after birth and offered scholarship to the children up to the university level.

 

It's not clear when the new photo was taken. A member of a charity organization who paid the family a visit posted it on Facebook .

Omojuwa apologized and deleted a tweet in which he called Vice President Yemi Osinbajo out after Modupe "Moe" Odele was prevented from leaving the country and her passport seized.

Modupe, an End SARS protester, gave an update on Twitter after a Nigerian intelligence agency refused to release her passport and told her she was under investigation.

Her update pissed a number of Nigerians and they slammed the government for intimidating Nigerians who played key roles in the End SARS protest.

Reacting to Moe's tweet, Omojuwa wrote: "If they bully fellow #ENDSARS protesters, they’d hope that they’d scare you into silence. It is a shame that @ProfOsinbajo sits comfortably while his government returns Nigeria to its autocratic days! A massive shame. I wonder who he sees in the mirror these days. Shame!!!"

 

 

He deleted his tweet and apologised to Osinbajo, writing: "I’d love to withdraw this tweet about the VP @ProfOsinbajo and  apologise for it. I have a better understanding of what happened and his effort to ensure the right thing is being done. My tweet was posted because of my own commitment towards respect for the rule of law.

Chinese company faces backlash after installing timers to check how long employees spend in toilets

A major technology company in China has faced a fierce backlash after being accused by web users of installing timers in the toilets to check how long its employees spend in the bathroom.

Pictures widely circulated online shows a digital timer placed above a toilet cubicle in the building of Kuaishou, a Beijing-based firm known for its popular video-sharing mobile app with 200 million active users.

Kuaishou claimed that the monitoring devices were implemented as part of its plan to build new restroom facilities.

The pictures quickly became a trending topic on Chinese Twitter-like Weibo and drew thousands of comments from angered netizens who slammed the tech firm's approach.

One commenter wrote: 'Now people don't even have the freedom to take a s***?'

Another one said: 'This is outrageous. They want you to do your work quickly and also take a dump quickly!'

Landlord threatening to eject Nigerian embassy in Hungary over owed rent - Onyeama

Godfrey Onyeama, the minister of foreign affairs, says the landlord of the building where the Nigerian embassy in Hungary is located is threatening to evict the embassy.

Onyeama was speaking while defending the ministry’s 2021 budget at the house of representatives in Abuja on Tuesday.

She beat Republican Steve Washington to take over the seat from Democrat Harris McDowell, who is standing down.

He passed away today in Bengaluru. He was 46. 

The news of his demise was shared by actor-filmmaker Pooja Bhatt on social media.
