Roger Alvarado was taken into custody early Thursday morning after he allegedly broke into the singer's apartment building in Tribeca.

Authorities said Alvarado broke into the second-floor patio door of Swift's home, according to PageSix.

When officers arrived to the scene, the door was open and Alvarado had allegedly 'ransacked the place'. Swift was not home at the time.

Another set of suspected thugs have been apprehended in Akwa Ibom state, ahead of Saturday's governorship election. The suspects were rounded up this morning by agile youths who stormed EverBee Hotel along Idoro road in Uyo, the state capital.
Over 32 of them were nabbed. According to the youths, the suspects will be handed over to the police as the law demands.

One of the suspects who revealed he's from Benin city in Edo state, said that they were brought to the state to monitor the election as observers of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He also revealed that they were at the hotel to receive the money that will be shared to them.
This is coming after various thugs in buses were arrested by police operatives few days ago in Akwa Ibom state.

Michael Jackson Statue Removed From Museum Following Abuse Claims

A statue of Michael Jackson has been removed from the National Football Museum in Manchester.

Its removal comes as sexual abuse allegations against the singer are detailed in a new documentary film.

The statue was commissioned by Fulham's then chairman Mohammed Al Fayed following Jackson's death in June 2009.

The National Football Museum (NFM) said the statue had been taken off display as part of "ongoing plans" to "better represent" football's stories.

A three-man panel of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja has granted PDP, Atiku access to All Electoral Materials in the presidential elections. .
The panel on Wednesday heard the ex-parte motion filed by the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, seeking an order granting them access to inspect the electoral materials used for the February 23 polls.

Atiku filed an ex-parte motion at the Court of Appeal in Abuja, asking for various orders of the court to allow him to access all documents used by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the conduct of the presidential election.

A son of former Liberian leader, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, has been charged in connection with the unlawful overprinting of local currency worth millions of U.S. dollars.
Charles Sirleaf, alongside another colleague at Liberia’s Central Bank, was arrested on Thursday following a probe into reports of missing banknotes and alleged malpractices at the bank.

Sirleaf, who was deputy governor of the central bank, is suspected of pocketing some of the proceeds in 2016 to 2018, reports the BBC.

A charge sheet cited by the Associated Press states that Sirleaf, and three other bank officials, were on Monday charged with economic sabotage, the misuse of public money and criminal conspiracy.
