Oyedepo Replies Presidency, Says ‘Dead Buhari Statement Not Hate Speech’

tement concerning Buhari being dead and cloned as Jubril Sud
Oyedepo reacted to report that Buhari was dead and the President in Aso Rock was Jubril El Sudan, urged the congregation to pray to God to deliver Nigeria from slavery, shame, and reproach as the report of alleged cloning was disturbing.
Tolu Ogunlesi described the cleric as a ‘hater of Buhari’.
He had wondered why the cleric would go to a far length to discredit Buhari.
However, speaking from Living Faith church HQ at Canaan land, Ota, on Saturday, Oyedepo vowed not to withdraw his statement because it was not a hate speech.
According to him, his statement was a self esteem speech.
The cleric said,

“I have never been asked to withdraw a statement in the past but today they are saying it is hate speech.
“That is no hate speech, it is self esteem speech; someone is stepping on toes and you say it is hate speech?
“Why will I withdraw my statement? God sent me and not you. You fear the one God sent and not any other because I have dominion.”

A down low pharmacist who strangled his wife so he could start a new life with his boyfriend has been jailed for at least 30 years.

Mitesh Patel injected his wife Jessica with insulin before strangling her with a Tesco bag at their Middlesbrough home – an attack he had plotted for years.

He then staged a break-in to make it look like she had been killed by an intruder and intended to move to Australia with a £2m life insurance payout.

National Assembly Workers Threaten To Embark On Indefinite Strike

The Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) has threatened to embark on an indefinite strike if the national assembly management does not meet its demands.

The workers picketed the premises of the national assembly denying lawmakers access to both chambers of the parliament.


They are aggrieved over the non-payment of outstanding salaries and allowances.

Spain Prosecutors To File Fraud Complaint Against Shakira

 

Spanish prosecutors are poised to file a court complaint against Shakira for allegedly evading 14.5 million euros ($16.5 million) in taxes, which the superstar singer's defence lawyers deny, a report said Friday.

The El Pais daily said prosecutors had notified the award-winning Colombian singer's lawyers that after investigating the case they would not drop it, which means they will file a complaint in court in the coming days for alleged tax fraud.

A spokesman for Spain's prosecution office would only tell AFP that "no action has been taken" yet. The matter "is being examined", he said.


Shakira is suspected of not paying taxes in Spain despite being a resident between 2011 and 2014, according to prosecutors.

I Got Burnt While Playing Sango In church - Wale Adebayo

 

Wale Adebayo became popular in 1997 when the movie – Sango – in which he played the lead role, was released. Till date, he is fondly referred to as Sango by many members of the public.

In a chat with Saturday Beats, he sympathised with a student of the University of Ibadan who recently got burnt while playing the part of Sango. Sharing his own experience while playing the role for a church play, he said, “I have been playing the part of Sango since I was a kid.
