Opening Up About Having An Abortion Because Justin Timberlake "Didn't Want To Be A Father," Britney Spears

On September 7, 2000, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake were spotted in the audience at the 2000 MTV Music Video Awards in New York, USA.

Britney Spears reveals she was pregnant by Justin Timberlake and got an abortion in her forthcoming memoir, The Woman in Me.

When they were young and both Mouseketeers on "The Mickey Mouse Club," Justin and Britney first crossed paths.

During a game of Truth or Dare at a sleepover, Britney claims that they hit it off right away and that he kissed her.

After they finally started dating in 1999, Britney Spears declared Justin Timberlake to be her true love.

In the memoir, Britney writes:

It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated.

But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.

Britney admits in the book, “If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.”

The decision to terminate her pregnancy still weighs heavily on her heart. 

“To this day, it’s one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life,” Britney wrote.

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake intimately ended their relationship in 2002. 

Becoming A Mother

Two years later, the Pop star married Kevin Federline and they welcomed their first child, Sean Preston, in 2005.

A year later, the couple welcomed their second son, Jayden James. 

Unfortunately, Britney’s marriage to Kevin ended in 2007.

Kevin Federline got full custody of their sons in 2008 following Britney Spears’ mental breakdown. 

Britney Spears & Sam Asghari

Britney Spears began dating Sam Asghari in 2016 after he got a gig in one of her music videos. 

He proposed in September 2021 and the two of them tied the knot in June 2022 – six months after her conservatorship ended. 

A month before tying the knot, the singer took to social media to share that she had suffered a miscarriage. 

Sadly, in August, Sam Asghari filed for divorce to end his marriage to the Pop icon.

Cry Me A River

The phrase “Cry Me A River” is currently trending on Twitter as people drag Justin Timberlake in response to the abortion revelation.

The song was released after his split from Britney Spears where he seemingly dragged her in a song for allegedly cheating on him.
