Musk offers to buy 100% of Twitter

#jaiyeorie According to a stock exchange filing, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has filed a hostile takeover bid for Twitter, seeking to buy 100% of the company's stock and take it private.

In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday, April 13, Musk offered $54.20 per share, a 54 percent premium over the closing price on January 28.

This comes only days after it was revealed that the eccentric billionaire had purchased an 11 percent interest in Twitter, making him the majority shareholder.

However, his relationship with the tech firm is strained, as he was later removed from the board of directors.  ✍️✍️✍️ ✍️“feel free to disagree in the comments 👀 ☝️👆 & let JAIYEORIE know what U think!” 📎 COMMENTS 👈👉✍️🤳 DROP YOUR OPINIONS ✍️✍️✍️
