Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Prime Minister Yakubu Gowon and Confederate Government Secretary Boss Mustapha attended the funeral of former Nigerian interim Prime Minister Ernest Shonekan on Friday.
Also present were Information Minister Lai Mohamed, Governors Lagos, Ogun and Edo, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Dapo Abiodun and Godwin Obaseki respectively. Former state governor Ogun Ibikunle Amosun was also present. Born on May 9, 1936, Shonekan served as head of the Provisional National Government between August and November 1993.
He died on January 11, 2022, at the age of 86.
