Vanessa Bryant Outraged By Unapproved Sale of Mambacita Nike Shoes

Vanessa Bryant took to her Instagram today to reveal that someone has already purchased the Mambacita shoes she designed for Nike in commemoration of her daughter, Gianna, and her husband Kobe Bryant’s death.

Recall that GiGi, as she was called, lost her life in a tragic helicopter crash along with her father Kobe, teammates, and their parents on January 26, 2020. And to celebrate their lives, she chose to honour them with the launch of her new Mambacita clothing line. Later, as she now revealed, Nike wanted her to also release a Mambacita shoe line.

She picked out the designs, but now has refused to resign the contract because of leak. “It appears someone already has Gigi’s MAMBACITA shoe in their possession,” she says, “If someone can share how they have these shoes in their possession, that would be great because my daughters and I don’t have any of Gigi’s MAMBACITA shoes.”
