#jaiyeorie

Zendaya has finally broken her silence on the 2015 Oscars incident where Guiliana Rancic insulted her hair.

The then 18-year-old had graced the red carpet with her hair in locs and Rancic while on the show, Fashion Police, had stated that her hair looked like it smelled of patchouli oil and weed.

Zendaya Coleman decided it was time to check that ignorance and stereotype and she did not mince words.

Taking to Instagram, Coleman whose father is black, disclosed that her father, brother, little cousins and childhood best friend all have locs which to her is a symbol of strength akin to a lion’s mane.

Without mentioning names, she schooled Rancic and advised her to listen to India Arie’s song, “”I Am Not My Hair” and contemplate a little before opening your mouth to quickly judge”.
