Richard Barnett, 60, of Gravette, Arkansas, has been detained in his home state on charges of entering and staying with limited grounds, forcible entry and theft of public property, a Justice Department official said. A New York Times reporter posted on Twitter that he spoke to Barnett after his action in Pelosi’s office. In the video, he boasted of stealing a personalized envelope, but insisted he paid for it.

"I left a quarter on her desk," he said.

Barnett claimed that he knocked on the door to the California Democrat's office, but was then swept inside by other rioters who had breached the Capitol.

📎He is one of at least 26 people wanted by the police, who offered a reward of up to $ 1,000 for information leading to their arrest and indictment. On Friday, West Virginia MP Delrick Evans, who recorded and then deleted a video of him joining the crowd, was also charged in connection with the riots at the Capitol. A petition has been launched to withdraw. COMMENTS 👀 ☝️👆👈👉✍️🤳 DROP YOUR OPINIONS
