TMZ reports that the L.A. County D.A.’s Office is considering reviewing possible assault charges against Tory Lanez for his alleged involvement in the Megan Thee shooting.
According to the outlet, an additional charge of felony assault with a firearm will be leveled against the Canadian rapper along with possession of a firearms charge already against him.
Prosecutors are calling for further investigation into the shooting incident of Megan Thee Stallion that occurred in July after rapper 'Savage' said he was shot back in the foot when he exited the SUV he was riding with Tory.
Lanez was initially arrested after the incident, but was only charged with possession of a firearm.
Sources close to Tory Lanez say that if charged, he will probably label the incident as an accidental shooting, claiming there were mitigating circumstances.
However, charging him could have gotten a little harder because of what Megan said hours earlier on Tuesday in an Instagram post
She had shared horrific images of her feet after being shot and revealed she was back in her SUV when she was shot in the heel. That would mean he didn't see who shot him.
Lanez was previously arrested and booked for possession of a concealed weapon; Gun police say they found the vehicle and may now be in the spotlight criminally for the shooting itself.
