Lisa Folawiyo Studio in celebration of Women’s Month is a reminder to stay positive and inspired despite Coronavirus pandemic.
 
Using the hashtag #BetterTogether, the brand highlights inspiring women in the creative sphere, who are shaping the industry through a series of video interviews.

Especially in times like these – amidst the panic, fear and uncertainty, there’s never been more of a need to come together, and support each other.
The women in this series include Bolaji Fawehinmi, Managing Director and Director, FEW Models Management Nigeria, Yagazie Emezi; Singer, songwriter and musician, Falana; Architect, entrepreneur, public speaker and author Tosin Oshinowo, and Lisa Folawiyo, creative director of the brand.
 
In short clips, they talk about style, inspiration, personal experiences and goals, styled as songs from Lisa Folawiyo Studio's latest collection.

Tosin Oshinowo
Oshinowo is an award-winning Nigerian architect, entrepreneur, public speaker and author. She led and implemented the new design of the Maryland Mall, located in Ikeja, the capital of Lagos.
 
After returning to Lagos from his studies abroad, she worked at James Cubitt Architects and has designed works for Guaranty Trust Bank, CafeNeo, Kamp Ikare Resort and Ying Yang Express.
 
She worked for leading international architectural firms such as Skidmore Owing & amp; Merrill LLP London and Rotterdam Metropolitan Architecture Bureau. Here, he was part of the group that drew up a proposal for the Lagos 4th Mainland Bridge, an ambitious two-story concept plan with a pedestrian section and vehicles downstairs in 2008.
Speaking of separation in the male dominated industry, he believes that it is not enough to be just a woman on the team, but a woman of clarity, concentration and precision who always strives for excellence.

Yagazie Emezi
A self-taught award winning artist and photo editor, born and raised in Aba, Nigeria.
 
Her artistic photography projects are constructed pieces designed to be a visual critique of Nigeria's socio-political space and the role of the media in it, drawing on history and current events.
 
In addition to working with some of the world's most renowned publications and media environments, Yagazie became the first black African woman to be photographed by National Geographic in 2019.

Falana
Victoria Falana aka Falana, is a Nigerian-Canadian singer, songwriter and musician.
Her voice is a unique blend of afrobeat and soul. As an adult, he was introduced to the voices of Fela Kut and King Sunny Ade. However, she mentions Lauryn Hill, Sade and Sia as significant musical influences in her artist development.
 
Arriving in Havana, Cuba, where Falana studied music and first began recording, gave her the opportunity to explore her artistic voice. Lisa Folawiyo
Mother of two and creative director of Lisa Folawiyo. Without formal education, he started the label at home after the birth of his daughter in 2005.

Bolajo Fawehinmi

Bolajo has been an important part of the design of the African modeling industry. Through patrol modeling, training and guidance, Bolajo has helped build the confidence and strength of the models.
