Farida Ado
TIME Magazine released the 2018 edition of the annual "Next Generation Leaders" list and our Farida Ado girl was featured.
Featuring 11 people from around the world, including the famous stars The Weeknd and Ariana Grande, TIME describes Farida as "Jane Austen of the Kano."
The 32-year-old Farida is known for her romantic novels. Picture a Mills & Boon novel, but in Hausa.
Speaking at TIME, Farida said: "Women are returning to romantic novels to learn how to live their own lives."
And his books get inspiration from real-life events!
Discuss his series "The Block of Ashes," Farida declared that he inspired the story of his neighbor who, tried to solve his problems in marriage, decided to see a priest of juju. She said:
I try to reflect the reality of society in my stories. These juju doctors had become a menace in many homes.
