From Fulani To Amasunzu Hairstyles! Lupita Nyong’o Draws 2018 Oscars Hair Inspiration From #Rwanda


Oscar winner  Lupita Nyong’o paid homage to African traditional hairstyles on the red carpet of her recent events. she celebrated renowned late Nigerian photographer, Johnson Donatus Aihumekeokhai Ojeikere (J.D) at the world premiere of the movie at Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on January 29, 2018.
And that caught the eyes of the world, from the dress on the night to the uniqueness in hairstyle, she later explained with a video on Instagram.

At the Oscars in 2018, Lupita returned to Africa to take inspiration from her hairstyle. The three parts hairstyle Amasunzu is identified with the people of Rwanda. She added more beauty by holding it with gilded accessories. The story goes that in the past, anyone wearing the Amasunzu hairstyle is considered an unmarried person. The Fulani and Amasunzu hairstyles were beautifully woven by Vernon François. Both Lupita and Vernon extended their working relationship that began from the Black Panther set to continue celebrating African beauty.
